Objective To detect the serum allergen specific IgE in the children patients with allergic diseases to provide the basis for the clinical diagnosis,treatment and prevention of allergic diseases.Methods To detect the allergen specific IgE in 248 children patients(aged 8 months to 14 years old)with allergic diseases by the EUROLINE method.The detection results were statistically analyzed.Results Among 248 cases,allergic rhinitis(AR)and bronchial asthma were dominated by the inhalant allergens,in which the house dust mites/dust mites had the highest positive rate (86.9%),followed by roach(45.3%);urticaria and allergic purpura were dominated by food allergens,in which crab had the highest positive rate (43.2%),followed by marine fish(31.4%).Conclu-sion The house dust mites/dust mites in the inhalant allergens and crab and marine fish in the food allergens are the main allegens in Luzhou area,the children patients with allergic diseases should avoid to contact or intake the allergen in order to reduce the oc-curence of allergic disease.

Objective To study the changes of serum albumin and its relationship with B-Type Natriuretic Peptide(BNP),High sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods Serum levels of albumin,BNP,hs-CRP at baseline were analyzed in 95 patients with AMI,and LVEF were measured by echocardiography.All AMI patients were divided into 2 groups based on the values of serum albumin:the hypoalbuminemia group and the normal albuminemia group.Fifty patients without coronary artery disease were selected as controls.The correlations between serum albumin and BNP,hs-CRP,LVEF were analyzed.Results Serum albumin in AMI patients was lower than that in the controls[(38.45±4.60) g/L vs.(43.15±3.11) g/L ;t =8.53,P ＜ 0.001].BNP and hs-CRP levels in the hypoalbuminemia group were higher than that in the normal albuminemia group [(5.24±1.71)ng/L vs.(4.17±1.61) ng/L;t =2.660,P =0.009;(1.64±0.93) mg/L vs.(1.13±1.03)mg/L;t =2.159,P =0.045].LVEF in hypoalbuminemia group was lower than that in the normal albuminemia group[(49.10±11.63) ％ vs.(54.63±9.60) ％ ; t =2.268,P =0.025].Levels of serum albumin were negatively correlated with BNP and hs-CRP in AMI patients(r =-0.465,P ＜0.001 ; r =-0.391,P ＜ 0.001).Levels of BNP were positively correlated with hs-CRP(r =0.492,P ＜ 0.001).LVEF was negatively correlated with BNP values(r =-0.371,P ＜ 0.001).Conclusion Hypoalbuminemia is associated with the prognosis of AMI and may be an important predictor of adverse outcome in patients with it.

Objective To observe curative effect of mental therapy on women perimenopausal period syndrome.Methods 100 patients with perimenopausal period syndrome were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group with 50 cases in each group. Patients of the treatment group were treated by Cryzanolam, Surazepam, etc,and mental therapy was given simultaneously twice one week. Patients of the control group were treated only by drugs. The period of treatment was four weeks. The curative effect was assessed by SCL-90 symptom self evaluation scales.Results Several factors and total average points of two groups' SCL-90 all dropped, and there was significant difference between two groups after therapy (P<0.01). For patients of the treatment group, clinic symptoms were markedly abated after treatment (P<0.05), and average scores of several factors were not significantly different from normal adults (P>0.05). Conclusion The mental therapy can remit symptoms of women perimenopausal period syndrome effectively and improve their healthy.

Objective To approach the prognostic factors of head and neck adenoid cystic carcinoma.Methods Fifty-eight head and neck adenoid cystic carcinomas were treated from January 1999 to December 2007.The demographic and clinicopathological data were obtained from a retrospective chart review.The follow-up and survival analysis were carried out to analyze the significant prognostic factors.Results Using the univariate analysis,the variables,such as histologic type,perineural invasion,vascular invasion,recurrence,metastasis and TNM stage were found significantly associated with a worse prognosis (P ＜ 0.05 ).Multivariate analysis showed that histologic type,perineural invasion and TNM stage had an independent prognostic effect on survival (P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion The variables including histologic type,TNM stage,perineural and vascular invasion,recurrence and metastasis are important prognostic factors for head and neck adenoid cystic carcinoma.

Objective To study the effectiveness of laparoscopic treatment for varicocele. Methods Clinical records of 235 cases of laparoscopic high ligation of the spermatic vein between September 1993 and July 2003 were retrospectively analyzed. Results All the operations were completed successfully. The operation time was 5~20 min (mean, 12 min). The postoperative hospital stay was 2~5 days (mean, 3 days). Follow-up observations for 6~18 months in 210 cases found 9 cases of recurrence, with a recurrence rate of 4 3% (9/210). Eleven patients with sterility had their wives pregnant 6~12 months after the surgery. Conclusions Laparoscopic high ligation for varicocele offers minimal invasion, good cosmetic results, and satisfactory effects, especially suitable for patients with bilateral varicocele, recurrent varicocele after open surgery, and surgical history in the groin.

Objective To explore a new and effective minimally invasive procedure in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in senile patients. Methods Transurethral vaporization of the prostate (TUVP) with prying-up technique was performed in 68 patients above the age of 80 with BPH. Results The mean procedure duration was 60 min, and the mean weight of resected prostate was 37.6 g. The mean intraoperative blood loss was 65 ml, and the mean hospital stay, 6 days. Postoperative ~follow-up for 0.5~2 years showed the international prostate symptom score (IPSS) decreased from 23.5?4.2 to 6.5?2.1, the quality of life index (QOL) was reduced from 4.6?0.6 to 2.2?0.2, the maximum flow rate (Qmax) elevated from 8.7?4.3 ml/s to 18.0?2.2 ml/s, and the residual urine (RU) dropped from 176.0?86.7 ml to 12.2?2.4 ml. Objective:To explore the necessity of transitional ICU care for patients with liver cancer after major hepatectomy.Methods:The clinical data of 548 liver cancer patients with major hepatectomy were retrospectively analyzed. According to whether by way of transitional ICU care was used or not, patients were divided into ICU group(92 cases) and none-ICU group(456 cases). The clinical data, postoperative complications and mortality were compared.Results:There were no difference in the incidence of major complications(ascites, liver failure, bile leakage, infection and bleeding), mortality and length of hospital stay between the two groups( P>0.05). But the total hospitalization costs of patients in the ICU group were significantly higher than those in the non-ICU group [(72 019±24 516) yuan vs. (67 002±21 374) yuan, t=2.004, P=0.046]. Multivariate analysis showed that intraoperative blood loss and transfusion were independent risk factors for patients undergoing transitional ICU care. Conclusion:Transitional ICU care does not reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and mortality for major hepatectomy patients, only increase the hospitalization costs.

Objective To improve the quality of thyroid surgery though the special surgical instruments and operating skill.Method Sub-total thyroidectomy for 504 pafients with primary hyperthyroidism were done through MPBS illuminating instruments and dissection,scrape absorption and electric coagulation skills of PMOD.Results Five hundred and four eases of sub-total thyroidectomy were successfully performed.The operation time was(50±20)minutes.The blood loss volume Was(60±30)ml.The hospital duration was(54±1)days.The incisions were short and the sears wore even.There was 1 case recurrence of hyperthyroidism and 2 cases of hypothyroidism after(5±3)years follow-up in 482 patients.There were no postoperative complications of hypoparathyroidism and injury of nerve.Conclusion The MPBS and PMOD instruments can be safely applied in thyroid surgery with the advantage of less blood loss,shorter operation time,smaller incision and less side-injuries.
