2.Effects of nordihydroguaiaretic acid treatment combined with Methotrexate or Vincristine on a human malignant glioma cell line
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(3):284-286
Objective To observe the effect of nordihydroguaiaretic acid treatment combined with Methotrexate or Vincristine on a human malignant glioma cell line. Methods The effect of drugs on the cells was measured by MTT, and the protein expression of cyclin D1 gene in the cells was measured by immunohistochemistry assay. Results ①The anti-tumor effects of drugs on the cells were increased with the increasing of concentrations, and had a combined function between NDGA and MTX or VCR. ②There was no difference between the effect of treating NDGA with MTX or VCR given at the same time and MTX or VCR given after 24 h of NDGA treatment, but the effects were apparently different when NDGA was administrated after MTX or VCR treatment for 24 h. ③The protein expression of cyclin D1 gene in the cells was apparently reduced after NDGA treatment. Conclusion There is a cooperative function between NDGA and MTX or VCR on the cells, and the function is probably related to the NDGA-induced down-regulation of protein expression of cyclin D1 gene in the cells.
3.Adjuvant chemotherapy of stage Ⅱ colon cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(6):463-465
For stage Ⅱ colon cancer patients after surgery, the benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy remains controversial.Several studies indicate that the patients with high-risk stage Ⅱ colon cancer can benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery.According to the clinical and pathological features, the stage Ⅱcolon cancer patients including T4 lesion, perforation, peritumoral lymphovascular invasion can benefit from the adjuvant chemotherapy of oxaliplatin. In the horizontal of molecular and genetic levels, the stage Ⅱ colon cancer patients can express high microsatellite instability (MSI-H) and cannot benefit from the chemotherapy of Fluorouracil. The guiding functions of 18q loss of heterozygosity (18q LOH),Cx43 and gene expression profiling in adjuvant chemotherapy are still unclear, and need further study.
5.A Study on Microcirculation in Children with Acute Glomerulonephritis
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
Our observation was done with conjunctival microcirculation, pulmona-ry rheography and renal rheography in 20 cases with acute glomerulonephri-tis. High resistance of pulmonary rheography was observed and ischemicchanges were found in renal rheography when spasm of the conjunctivalarterioles appeared in 20 cases. 58. 7% of 29 patients were abnormal duringradiorenographic examination. Most cases showed damage to both kidneys, indicating the kidney disfunctioning caus ed by renal circulatory disorderswhen patients were suffering from nephritis. Changes seen in conjunctival microcirculation, rheography and radio-renography were consistently abnormal at the acute stage. At the convalesc-ent stage, however, improvement to different degrees was gained. Therefore, these laboratory studies can be used as index for the selection of vasodila-tor drugs and for the justification of the prognosis of the disease.

7.Correlation Analysis of Apoptosis and Clinical Indicators in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2016;36(1):35-39
OBJECTIVETo observe the expression of peripheral blood CD4+ T lymphocyte apoptosis gene in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients with cold dampness type (CDT), and to explore its correlation with clinical indicators of RA.
METHODSSixteen RA patients with CDT (as the RA group) and 16 healthy subjects (as the normal control group) were recruited. CD4 T cell apoptosis rate was detected in the RA group and the normal control group using FCM. mRNA expressions of fas, fasL, caspase-3, caspase-8, bcl-2, and bax were detected using RT-PCR. Correlations between the expression of apoptosis gene and clinical activity indicators of RA (ESR, CRP, RF, CCP, integrals for Chinese medial symptoms, morning stiffness time, joint tenderness number, joint swelling number, DAS28-3) were analyzed.
RESULTSThe apoptosis rate of CD4+ T was significantly lower in the RA group than in the control group [(2. 6 +/- 0.9) % vs. (7.7 +/- 1.3) %, P < 0.01]. mRNA expression levels of fas, fasL, caspase-8, caspase-3, and bax mRNA of CD4+ T significantly decreased, but bcl-2 mRNA expression increased in the RA group (P < 0.01). The apoptosis rate of CD4+ T was negatively correlated with ESR (P < 0.05). The mRNA expression of caspase-8 was negatively correlated with joint swelling number (P < 0.05). The mRNA expression of bcl-2 was negatively correlated with integrals for Chinese medial-symptoms and joint function classification (P < 0.01, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONApoptosis obstacle exists in peripheral blood CD4 +T lymphocyte of RA patients, and is closely related to disease activity.

9. Synovial macrophages in osteoarthritis: Roles and features
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2020;24(29):4731-4736
BACKGROUND: The exact pathogenesis of osteoarthritis is unclear. Studies have shown that macrophages in synovial tissue are involved in sliding-inflammation response and the production of cartilage matrix degradation enzyme. OBJECTIVE: Based on the important role of synovial macrophages in osteoarthritis, to review and summarize the major research achievements and important research methods in this field, laying a foundation for future research on synovial macrophages. METHODS: The first author used computer to search relevant literatures included in PubMed and VIP from 1999 to 2019. The search terms were “osteoarthritis, synovitis, synovial macrophages” in English and Chineserespectively. Manual screening was conducted according to the inclusion criteria, and irrelevant, repetitive and obsolete articles were excluded. Finally, 46 eligible articles were included.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: There is an inflammatory response in the synovial tissue, and the severity of synovitis is closely related to osteoarthritis symptoms and progression. A large number of macrophages with different activation states are infiltrated in the synovial tissues of osteoarthritis patients at different stages. M1 macrophages are the main subgroup of macrophages involved in the production, cartilage degradation and osteophyte formation of osteoarthritis inflammatory factors, while M2 macrophages have a protective effect on osteoarthritis by secreting anti-inflammatory factors. Inhibiting the differentiation of macrophages into M1 type and promoting their M2 type differentiation can alleviate the pathological changes of osteoarthritis and delay the progression of osteoarthritis. It may be an effective method to treat osteoarthritis by regulating the polarization state of synovial macrophages.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2012;11(4):287-289
A total of 115 patients with acute chest pain under the suspicion of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) were selected.By the onset time of chest pain, they were divided into two periods of <3 h and 3 -6 h respectively. Heart-type fatty acid binding protein (H-FABP)and such traditional cardiac biochemical markers as cardiac troponin T (cTnT),creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB) and myoglobin (MYO) were tested to compare the sensitivity and specificity in the early diagnosis of AMI.The sensitivity of H-FABP was significantly higher than those of cTnT,CK-MB and MYO (P =0.026,0.005,0.048 ) ; the specificity of H-FABP was lower than those of cTnT,CK-MB in the diagnosis of AMI ( P > 0.05 ).The sensitivities of H-FABP were 81.6% and 78.1% in the ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and nonST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) groups respectively ( P =0.095 ).Regardless of the onset of chest pain at < 3 h or 3 -6 h,the combination of H-FABP and cTnT had a higher sensitivity than those of cTnT,CK-MB and MYO in the early diagnosis of AMI (P =0.005,0.028).In the early and rapid diagnosis of AMI patients,H-FABP has a high sensitivity and a poor specificity. And it has some reference value.
