Objective To explore how attachment and pain belief mediate the relationship among coping strategies and adjustment to chronic pain in elderly community residents.Methods The demographic questionnaire,the Chinese version of Brief Pain Inventory,Coping Strategies Questionnaire-Revised,Experiences in Close Relationship-Revised,Pain Beliefs and Perceptions Inventory were used to investigate 242 patients in chronic pain.Results Attachment avoidance mediate the relationship between brace face,between bad feeling,between ignorance of pain and adjustment to chronic pain,with the mediation effects being 0.047,0.031 and 0.017 respectively,accounting for 27.99％,6.28％ and 7.28％ of total effect.The belief of continuing pain mediates the relationship between bad feeling and adjustment to chronic pain,with the mediation effect being 0.043,accounting for 9.54％ of total effect.The belief that pain can not be relieved mediates the relationship between bad feeling and adjustment to chronic pain,with the mediation effect being 0.022,accounting for 4.89％ of total effect.Conclusions Attachment avoidance,belief of continuing pain and belief that pain can not be relived play mediation roles between coping strategies and adjustment to chronic pain,attachment avoidance accounts for a more important role in all.

Objective To study the influences of endogenous testosterone on vascular endothelial cell function and structure in rabbits of balloon injury. Methods Twenty male rabbits were randomly divided into two groups: castrated group and control group.The former group animals were castrated and the later group animals received sham operation. All animals were performed with deendothelializing balloon injury in the right iliac artery. Nitric oxide (NO) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) were measured at different intervals during the experiment. After 2 weaks of endothelial denudation all animals were killed, and endothelin structure and morphological changes were observed with electron microscope and HE staining. Results There weren′t siginificant differences of plasma NO and ET-1 levels between the two groups, but plasma NO and ET-1 levels of the castrated group 2 weaks after endothelial denudation recovered to the levels before castration, while they didn′t in the control group. The extent of reendothelialization and intimal area of the harvested segments were similar between the two groups. Conclusion The decrease of endogenous testosterone level did not affect endothelial cell structure, but tended to protect function of injured endothelium.

The individual intervention control of risk factors in high-risk population is one of key preventive measures of chronic disease.A total of 312 volunteers consulted physicians in one selected community.And 23 high-risk individuals of chronic disease were screened.The physicians customized the limit or requirement of diet,activity,tobacco and alcohol for each individual and made interventions of life behaviors according to the plans.The results showed that physical state of 20 (87％) of them converted from high-risk to health after interventions.Therefore customized control plan of individual risk factors is an effective control method of chronic disease.

Objective To explore the relationships among organization climate,psychological empowerment and job embeddedness by using path analysis.Methods A total of 514 clinical nurses from 26 departments in 3 hospitals were recruited by convenience cluster sampling method and investigated with demography questionnaire,Nurses Organizational Climate Scale,Psychological Empowerment Scale and Job Embeddedness Scale.Results The mean scores of organization climate,psychological empowerment and job embeddedness was (3.01±0.46),(3.27±0.44),(3.08±0.39).The predictors of job embeddedness of nurses were resources support,work experience,human resources management,marital status,job title,management support,quality management,and self-egicacy,explained 48.9％ of its variance; organization climate,psychological empowerment had direct positive influence on nurses' job embeddedness,explained 33.3％ of its variance.Conclusions Improvement and maintenance of sound organizational climate,increase the sense of psychological empowerment of nurses,are effective ways and means to increase the degree of job embedding of nurses.

Objective:To observe and compare the clinical effect of single-incision and two-incision posterior chamber phakic intraocularlens implantation in the correction of extreme myopia.Methods:40 cases(80 eyes) of patients with extreme myopia underwent conventional two-incision posterior chamber phakic intraocularlens implantation in our hospital from January 2011 to June 2013 were selected as the control group and 40 cases(80 eyes) underwent single-incision posterior chamber phakic intraocularlens implantation from July 2013 to January 2016 were selected as observation group.The open hole before and after operation,best corrected visual acuity of vision,operation safety,effectiveness index,diopter (column mirror,equivalent ball for eyeglasses),intraocular pressure,ECD,anterior chamber depth and occurrence of complications were compared between two groups.Results:The uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) of both groups at 6 months after operation were significantly higher than those before operation (P＜0.05),which was significantly higher in the observation group than that of the control group (P＜0.05);The operation safety and effectiveness index of observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P＜0.05);The cylinder and spherical equivalent degree of both groups at 6 months after operation were significantly better than those before operation(P＜0.05),which was significantly better in the observation group than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The corneal endothelial cell counts(ECL) of control group after operation was significantly lower than that before operation (P＜0.05),and no significant difference was found in the ECL of observation group before and after operation (P＞0.05).The ECL of observation group after operation was significantly higher than that of the control group (P＜0.05);The incidence rate of complication in observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Compared with two-incision operation,the single-incision posterior chamber phakic intraocularlens implantation had remarkable clinical effect in the correction of extreme myopia with higher security.

Objective To investigate the differences in susceptibility to Lewis lung carcinoma and T lymphocyte subsets in the immune microenvironment between young and elderly mice.Methods Six C57/B6 mice at two months(young)and six mice at twelve months(aged)were injected with Lewis lung carcinoma cells at the dose of 1 × 106 in the left armpit to establish a murine model of lung carcinoma.The weight and tumor growth were monitored.Blood samples for routine blood tests were collected after 24 days.The proportions of CD4+ and CD8+T cells in the spleen were detected by flow cytometry,and the infiltration of CD4+,CD8+ T cells and related effector T cells in the tumor microenvironment were determined in the same way.Results The body weight of tumor bearing mice in the aged group was significantly higher than that in the young group(P ＜0.001);The tumor weight in the aged group(5.084±0.528)g was significantly higher than that in the young group(2.963 ±0.378)g(t =3,349,P =0.012);Routine blood tests showed that the numbers of leukocytes and subsets(except mononuclear)in the aged group were significantly lower than in the young group(P ＜0.05);Flow cytometry found that the effector and memory/effector CD4+T cell ratios in the spleen were significantly higher in the aged group than in the young group(P ＜0.001)and the expression of effector and memory/effector CD8+T cells in the tumor microenvironment was also significantly higher than in the young group(P ＜0.05);Quantitative expression values of IL-6 and IL-10 in the tumor microenvironment were 25090±3820 and 10670± 1793 in the aged group and 6252±864 and 3061±451 in the young group,respectively.Moreover,the expression levels of IL-6 and IL-10(t =3.925,P =0.01;t =3.552,P =0.02)in the tumor microenvironment in the aged group were significantly lower than those in the young group.Conclusions Young mice are more susceptible to Lewis lung carcinoma,probably as a result of differences in inflammation and immunity.

The study aims to investigate the associations of SUMO4 polymorphisms with tacrolimus concentrations in Chinese renal transplant recipients. Blood samples and clinical data were collected from 132 renal transplant recipients with tacrolimus treatment. CYP3A5*3 genotypes were detected by PCR-RFLP, and SUMO4 (rs237024, rs237025) genotypes were detected by Sequenom® MassARRAY system. SUMO4 rs237024 and rs237025 genotypes were in complete linkage disequilibrium (D' = 1). The dose-adjusted concentration of tacrolimus in SUMO4 rs237024A-rs237025A (GA-GA +AA-AA) carriers was considerably higher than that in GG-GG carriers (P < 0.05). After stratification by CYP3A5*3 genotypes, SUMO4 rs237024A-rs237025A carriers (GA-GA+AA-AA) had a higher dose-adjusted tacrolimus concentration than that in GG carriers in CYP3A5 expresser (P < 0.05). The results illustrated that SUMO4 rs237024 and rs237025 polymorphisms were associated with tacrolimus concentrations, and the test of these genotypes may be useful for individualized medicine of tacrolimus.

Objective:To observe the effect of Ba Duan Jin(Eight-brocade Exercise)plus Tuina(Chinese therapeutic massage)in treating primary dysmenorrhea due to cold-induced blood stasis in female college students and on the score of fatigue scale-14(FS-14). Methods:Seventy-two female college students with primary dysmenorrhea due to cold-induced blood stasis were randomized into a Tuina group and a joint group,with 36 cases in each group.The Tuina group only received Tuina manipulations.In the joint group,besides the same Tuina manipulations,patients practiced Ba Duan Jin.For both groups,the once-daily intervention was conducted from 6 d before the menstrual period until menstrual day 1 for 3 menstrual cycles.Changes in the scores of COX menstrual symptom scale(CMSS),visual analog scale(VAS),and FS-14 after the intervention were observed.Clinical efficacy was also estimated. Results:During the process,1 case dropped out in the Tuina group,and 35 cases completed the intervention;2 cases dropped out in the joint group,and 34 cases completed the intervention.The total effective rate was 94.1%in the joint group,higher than 88.6%in the Tuina group(P<0.05).After treatment,the symptom duration and intensity scores in the scores of CMSS,VAS,and FS-14 declined in both groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01);the CMSS symptom duration score and FS-14 score were lower in the joint group than in the Tuina group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Tuina manipulations alone or combined with Ba Duan Jin practice can effectively treat primary dysmenorrhea due to cold-induced blood stasis in female college students;when combined with Ba Duan Jin practice,Tuina manipulations can more significantly improve pain duration and fatigue,suggesting the advantages of combining Tuina Gongfa and manipulations.
