Chemoradiotherapy is an important part in the adjuvant regimen for locally advanced gastric cancer after radical resection. Adjuvant chemoradiotherapy has demonstrated a clear local control and survival advantage for locally advanced patients with less than D2 lymph node dissection. Thus, chemoradiotherapy is recommended as standard of care in the postoperative setting. However, the role of radiotherapy for patients with more extensive D2 lymph node dissections remains controversial. Three phase III random-ized clinical trials in Asia show that adjuvant chemoradiotherapy after D2 dissection is safe and feasible and may benefit certain groups of patients. The benefit of radiotherapy in the case of more extensive surgery still warrants well-designed, fully powered randomized controlled clinical trials for verification. More studies are needed to focus on the identification of patient subgroups that are at high risk for locoregional failure and may benefit from adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Further optimization of target volume in the radiother-apy and exploration of new modalities of radiation techniques are also necessary.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on proliferation and inflammatory factors expression of human periodontal ligament stem cells (HPDLSCs).
METHODSHPDLSCs were cultivated and identified. Experiment was divided into 3 groups according to culture solution: Group A with alpha-MEM culture solution containing 10 microg.mL-1 LPS, group B with supernatant fluid containing 10ng.mL-1 LPS stimulated monocyte, group C with alpha-MEM culture solution. The proliferation ability of HPDLSCs was analyzed by MTF assay. The expression levels of interleukin-1beta (IL-1beta), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-alpha) mRNA of HPDLSCs were detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).
RESULTSHPDLSCs had clonality, bone and fat differentiation ability. Compared with group C, the proliferation ability of HPDLSCs of group A and group B was significantly inhibited, and the proliferation ability of HPDLSCs of group B were more significantly inhibited than that of group A (P<0.05). The expression of IL-1beta, IL-6 and TNF-alpha mRNA of group A and group B increased compared with the control group, and the expression of IL-1beta, IL-6 and TNF-alpha mRNA of group B increased more than that of group A (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONPorphyromonas gingivalis may inhibit the proliferation of HPDLSCs directly or indirectly through LPS and increase expression of inflammatory factor, exacerbate periodontal inflammatory tissue damage and delay the self-repairing of periodontal tissue.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the early combination of Chinese and Western medicine for anti-inflammation and lateral superior genicular flap for the treatment of soft tissue defects around the knee joint.
METHODSFrom June 2004 to September 2008, 8 patients with soft tissue defects around the knee joint were treated with lateral superior genicular flap. Among the patients, 5 patients were male and 3 patients were female, ranging in age from 32 to 56 years, with an average of 35.2 years. The defected area ranged from 7.6 cm x 4.5 cm to 15.2 cm x 7.5 cm. The disease course ranged from 3 months to 3 years. Three patients had the defects at the posterior of the knee, 2 patients had the defects at the popliteal fossa, and 3 patients had the defects at the lateral side of the knee. At the early stage, all the patients were treated with Tuihuang Xiaozhong decoction and antibiotics for 3 to 5 days.
RESULTSAll the flaps survived, and the knee function recovered. One patient had epidermis necrosis at the distal end of the flap of lateral side of the knee.
CONCLUSIONThe early combination of Chinese and Western medicine for anti-inflammation is a simple, easy to promote, and no special microsurgical instruments are needed.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2022;21(2):160-163
Objective:To explore the influence of flipped classroom combined with case-based learning (CBL) teaching mode on teaching effect of X-ray cephalometric analysis in orthodontic experimental class. Methods:In the study, 70 undergraduates majoring in stomatology were selected as research objects and randomized into teaching reform group and traditional group in average. Flipped classroom combined with CBL teaching mode was adopted in teaching reform group, while traditional group adopted traditional teaching mode. Questionnaire was used to investigate the students' evaluation on the two teaching modes, and the accuracy of the measurement of X-ray cephalometrics of the two groups was compared and analyzed respectively. GraphPad Prism 7.03 software was used to perform t test and chi-square test. Results:Teaching reform group believed that this kind of teaching mode could improve the ability of self-study, communication coordination ability, independent problem solving ability, and logic and language expression ability, deepen the understanding of the project connotation, and apply the X-ray cephalometrics to the actual clinical case analysis and diagnosis. Compared with the traditional group, there were significant differences ( P<0.05). In the accuracy evaluation of measurement values, the absolute values of 70% measurement items in teaching reform group were higher than those in the traditional group, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P>0.05). Only in bone type Ⅲ malocclusion, the absolute values of Y-axis angle and FMA were lower than those of the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Flipped classroom combined with CBL teaching mode can help students improve self-study ability, communication cooperation ability and the ability of solving problem independently and clinical application. However, the accuracy evaluation of measurement values in teaching reform group were lower than that of the traditional group, indicating that this teaching method in the experimental teaching of X-ray cephalometric analysis needs to be further improved.

Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics 2021;38(8):812-817
OBJECTIVE:
To study the effect of silencing LncRNA SNHG7 on hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)-induced cardiomyocyte injury and its targeted regulation on miR-181b-5p.
METHODS:
Rat cardiomyocytes H9c2 were cultured in vitro and randomly divided into control group, H/R group, H/R + si-NC group, H/R + si-SNHG7 group, H/R + si-SNHG7 + anti-miR-NC group and H/R + si-SNHG7 + anti-miR-181b-5p group. The content of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), malondialedhyde (MDA) and the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) were detected. Flow cytometry was carried out to detect the rate of apoptosis. qRT-PCR was used to detect the expression of SNHG7 and miR-181b-5p. Dual luciferase report experiment was used to verify the targeting relationship between SNHG7 and miR-181b-5p. Western blotting was used to detect the expression of Bax and Bcl-2.
RESULTS:
Compared with the control group, the H/R group showed significantly increased SNHG7 expression in cardiomyocytes, reduced miR-181b-5p expression, higher levels of LDH and MDA, reduced activity of SOD, increased cell apoptosis rate, higher level of Bax protein, and reduced level of Bcl-2 protein (all P< 0.05). Compared with the H/R and H/R + si-NC groups, the H/R + si-SNHG7 group had significantly reduced level of LDH and MDA, increased activity of SOD, reduced apoptosis rate, reduced level of Bax protein, increased level of Bcl-2 protein (all P< 0.05). The dual luciferase report experiment confirmed that SNHG7 could target miR-181b-5p. Interference with the expression of miR-181b-5p could reduce the effect of silencing SNHG7 on H/R-induced cardiomyocyte oxidative stress and apoptosis.
CONCLUSION
Silencing SNHG7 may inhibit H/R-induced cardiomyocyte oxidative stress and apoptosis by up-regulating the expression of miR-181b-5p, thereby exerting a protective effect on cardiomyocytes.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2021;42(11):1670-1673
Objective:
To explore the associations between sleep duration and negative emotions among junior college students, and to provide reference for mental health promotion among college students.
Methods:
Cluster sampling method were used to select 2 524 freshmen from a college in Huainan, Anhui Province. Questionnaires were used to investigate general demographic characteristics, sleep timing, negative emotions and other information. The restricted cubic spline and multivariate Logistic regression were used to analyze the relationship between sleep duration and negative emotion among junior college students.
Results:
The prevalence of depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, stress associated symptoms were 19.41%(490), 28.2%(713), 9.9%(250) respectively. The prevalence of negative emotions was higher among boys(24.3%,34.0%,19.1%) than girls(18.7%,27.4%,8.5%). The differences between groups were statistically significant( P <0.01). After adjusting for confounding factors, sleep duration and negative emotions showed a non linear dose response relationship. Compared with the reference group(8-<9 h), sleep duration <7 h was significantly associated with an increased risk of depressive symptoms and stress symptoms, and <8 h was associated with an increased risk of anxiety symptoms. The additional sleep time on weekends ≥5 h was associated with negative emotions compared with the reference group(<1 h)( P <0.01).
Conclusion
Short sleep duration and extra weekend sleep are associated with negative emotions. Reasonable sleep schedule among junior college students might be helpful for the prevention and control of negative emotions.
