OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of Hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) system in the process of production of Loratadine tablets. METHODS:Taking wet granulation and tableting technology of Lorata-dine tablets as an example, and through the introduction of the concept of HACCP,the basic theory and method of HACCP were applied for hazard analysis on each production link to find critical control points and set critical limits for production quality man-agement. RESULTS:By HACCP analysis, three links namely drying, granules fitting and mixing, internal and external packaging were finally determined as the critical control points in the process of production of Loratadine tablets, thereby critical control lim-its were set for monitoring. After effective control over the risks in the process was ensured,HACCP work plan was made and veri-fied,and the results showed that HACCP system could effectively control and reduce the risks in the process of production and en-sure quality safety. CONCLUSIONS:Application of HACCP system to wet granulation and tableting technology of Loratadine tab-lets can fully embody its feasibility and effectiveness.

Objective To evaluate the image deformation and measurement error of rotational DSA by model experiment. Methods Five steel balls (diameter: 20 mm) were placed in a horizontal space of 30 mm, the middle of which was as the isocenter for rotational DSA acquisition. Another 5 steel balls (diameter: 10 mm) were placed in a vertical space of 30 mm with the same alignment for rotational DSA acquisition. The screen was divided into five regions and the morphological changes of the ball image were observed at each rotation angle. The experimental images of the left anterior oblique ball images at 20°, 40°and 60° among each two groups were selected and measured by automatic isocenter calibration and sphere calibration respectively, and compared with the actual diameters of balls to calculate the image magnification. Results Except the center one, other balls were of deformation at different rotation angles due to the distance to the detector leading to enlargement and reduction. With automatic isocenter calibration, only the diameter of the center ball corresponded with the actual one, the distance away from the center or the rotation angle was inversely proportional to measurement error (maximum magnification 12.42%).With sphere calibration, the measurement results in various regions at different rotation angle were basically the same, with smaller measurement error (maximum magnification 3.41%). Conclusion Placing the organ of interest in the center area can reduce image distortion in rotational DSA imaging. Selecting reasonable measuring technology according to the lesion location is helpful to control measurement errors.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of TCM external treatment combined with Dasangju Mixture in treating mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) in children. Methods One hundred patients with MPP were randomly divided into control group and treatment group by parallel design, with 50 patients in each group. Patients in control group orally took azithromycin combined with other symptomatic treatment when necessary, 7 d for a course and continuously for 3 courses. Based on the treatment for control group, patients in treatment group were added with TCM external treatment (BL13 and RN17) combined with Dasangju Mixture, while azithromycin was sequentially used just for 2 courses. Other types of treatment lasted for 3 courses. The improvement time of symptoms and signs of the patients were recorded and the therapeutic effects of the two groups were evaluated. Moreover, the serum concentrations of mycoplasma pneumoniae-immune gloulin M (MP-IgM) were determined before and after treatment on the 1st and 21st days. Results The improvent time of fever, and cough and lung sign of the treatment group were more obviously shortened than the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 96.0% (48/50) in observation group and 74.0% (37/50) in control group, with statistical significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the negative rate of the serum concentration of MP-IgM in the treatment group was 82%, and that of the control group was 58%, with statistical significance between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion TCM external treatment combined with Dasangju Mixture can not only significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of MPP children patients, but also shorten the disease course, and the efficacy was significant. Meanwhile it can reduce the course and side effects of azithromycin, which provides reference to the administration of antibiotics in children.
