Chinese Journal of Clinical and Experimental Pathology 2015;(2):174-177
Purpose To analyze retrospectively the clinicopahological characteristics and immuophenotype in 120 cases of pulmonary selerosing hemangioma ( PSH) . Methods Data of 120 cases of PSH were collected and reviewed, including gross features and frozen diagnosis, histopathological features, morphology in HE and immunohistochemical characteristics of tumor cells. Results PSH pres-ents a well-circumscribed mass with a sense of expansion after cutting, which showed a solid, grey to tan-yellow surface with foci of haemorrhage. Two kinds of tumor cells and four typical patterns with mixed forms, are often shown under light microscope (92/120, 76. 67%). Focal accumulation of histocytes and scattered mast cells were noted in some cases (83/120, 69. 17%). Both surface cells and round cells were TTF-1 and EMA positive. Surface cells expressed SP-A, CK and NapsinA. Round cells expressed vimentin. Conclusion Gross features and typical“two cell types, four patterns” contribute to PSH diagnosis. Meanwhile, foal accumulation of foam histocytes and scattered mast cells show a clue to PSH diagnosis and differential diagnosis.

AIM:To investigate the ameliorative effect of ischemic postconditioning (I-postC) on pia mater microcirculation in rats subjected to cerebral ischemia reperfusion (I/R) and its mechanisms. METHODS:Thirty-two male Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham,I/R,I-postC,and ischemic preconditioning (IPC) groups. The global cerebral I/R injury was induced by shunting carotid artery in rats. Pia mater microcirculation and cerebral microcirculatory perfusion were measured after reperfusion. The content of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) in plasma was detected using enzyme linked-immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Myeloperoxidase (MPO),malondialdehyde (MDA),and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in cerebral tissue were detected. The expressions of vascular endothelial cell cadherin (VE-cadherin) and NF-?B p65 in cerebral tissue were assayed by Western blotting. RESULTS:(1) The disturbance of the blood flow in microvessel induced by I/R was improved significantly by I-postC. In addition,I-postC alleviated significantly the decrease in diameters of microvesseles, cerebral microcirculatory perfusion and cerebral VE-cadherin content induced by I/R (P

Objective: To observe the effect of Tuina and respirometric training on the pulmonary function, dyspnea, motor ability, and quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in remission stage. Method: Sixty-six cases of COPD in remission stage were divided into Tuina group (n = 33) and control group (n = 33) with table of randomized number. After 3-month treatment, the grade of dyspnea and quality of life, pulmonary function, and 6-min Self Walk Test were compared with that before treatment. Results: The pulmonary function of patients in Tuina group were improved remarkably, the improvement in the control group was poor. The qualities of life were enhanced in the two groups, and Tuina method was better than the respirometric training. Both the treatment methods could increase the walking distance in 6 min Self Walk Test and improve dyspnea, without a difference in the two groups. Conclusion: The two treatment methods had good therapeutic effect on dyspnea, quality, motor ability and pulmonary function in patients with COPD in remission stage, and especially, Tuina treatment had a better effect on pulmonary function and quality of life than the control method.

AIM: To investigate the role of G-protein-coupled bile acid receptor 1 ( GPBR1; also known as TGR5) activation in high glucose-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and calcineurin (CaN)/nuclear factor of activated T-cells 3 (NFAT3) signaling.METHODS:Primarily cultured mouse cardiomyocytes were used in the study .The cell surface areas of the cardiomyocytes were measured by an image analysis system .The cell protein content was detected by BCA meth-od.The expression of TGR5, CaN and NFAT3 at mRNA and protein levels was determined by RT-PCR and Western blot . RESULTS:The mouse cardiomyocytes were successfully cultured .High glucose significantly induced the increases in the cell surface area, the cell protein content and the expression of CaN and NFAT 3 (P<0.05) in the cardiomyocytes.TGR5 activation or a CaN antagonist cyclosporin A inhibited high glucose-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and the expression of CaN and NFAT3 (P<0.05).These effects of TGR5 activation were abolished by TGR5 gene interference (P<0.05). CONCLUSION:TGR5 activation reduces high glucose-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy by inhibiting CaN /NFAT3 sig-naling.
