Purpose:To study the expression of Survivin,P21 WAF1/CIP1 and CyclinD1 proteins in cervical carcinoma and to investigate their relation to recurrence of early stage cervical cancer of the uterus. Methods:Using streptavidin-biotin peroxidase (sp) method,we examined the protein expression of Survivin, P21 WAF1/CIP1 and Cyclin D1 in 55 cervical carcinomas (45 cervical squamous carcinomas and 10 cervical adenocarcinomas ) and 10 normal cervical tissues.Results:① The positive rates of Survivin,Cyclin D1,P21 WAF1/CIP1 were 0,10.0%,20.0% in normal cervical tissue, and 68.9%,51.1%,57,8% in cervical squamous carcinomas, and 60.0%,90.0%,80.0% in cerrical adenocarcinomas respectively. There were significant differences in the positive results of Survivin,CyclinD1,P21 WAF1/CIP1 between normal cervical tissue and cervical cancer ( P 0.05).③The coexpression of Survivin with P21 WAF1/CIP1 or CyclinD1 were both associated with higher tumor grade( P
