Objective To systematically review the efficacy and safety of nicergoline on chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency (CCVI).Methods Databases including the Cochrane Library,PubMed,CNKI,VIP and WanFang Date were electronically searched for relevant randomized controlled trails (RCTs) which studied the effectiveness and safety of Nicergoline on chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency.Two reviewers independently screened literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,extracted data,and assessed the methodological quality.Metaanalysis was performed by using RevMan 5.2 software.Results Totally 9 studies involving 1 030 patients were included.The meta-analysis results showed that,compared with conventional treatment alone,the Nicergoline group was superior in improving the velocity of middle cerebral artery(MCA) in both systolic(MD=16.43,95％CI:10.39-22.46) and the late diastolic (MD=11.48,95％CI:5.34-17.63).Besides,Nicergoline significantly improved the pulse index (PI) of MCA (MD=-0.37,95％CI:-0.48--0.26).Likewise,it obviously improved the velocity in both systolic (MD=11.23,95％CI:6.10-16.35),the late diastolic (MD=8.80,95％CI:5.20-12.40) and the PI of vertebral artery (VA) (MD=-0.38,95％CI:-0.47--0.28).The remission rate of the nicergolinegroup was higher than that of the control group (OR=3.93,95％ CI:2.66-5.81).Drug-related adverse reactions were not reported in included studies.Conclusions Nicergoline shows a certain efficacy on CCVI without obvious adverse reactions.

Objective To observe the lung inflammation and the expression of T - helper cell related cytokines in respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) infected Balb/c mice pre - sensitized with ovalbumin(OVA). Methods Mice were randomly divided into two series: nonsen-sitized and sensitized animal model with nebulized OVA once a day for 10 days. Each of the series was divided again into two groups: control group,RSV infected group with nasal draping plus nebulizing. All the mice were sacrificed 5 days later of infection. Viral isolation of lung organization was performed in each group. Pulmonary pathological detection and the levels of interleukin - 4(IL-4), interferon-? (IFN- ?) mRNA were evaluated by RT- PCR. Results The RSV were found only in RSV infected groups. The Balb/c mice developed typical interstitial pneumonia after RSV infection. When the mice pre- sensitized were infected with RSV, the pulmonary inflammation, lymphocyte and eosinophils infiltration and cell - collar peribronchiles were more severe in lung organization and bronchiole than those in the single RSV infection group. In the lung organization of control group, there were no mRNA expression of IL - 4 and IFN - ?. The mRNA of IFN -? was expressed in the lung organization of RSV infected groups while had not showed mRNA of IL- 4. In the OVA+ RSV group the mRNA expression of IL - 4 was obvious, while the expresses of IFN -? scarcely. Conclusions Pulmonary inflammation is more severe in the infection after OVA sensitization. RSV infection alone results in a Th1 - like cytokine response, while the infection after OVA sensitization results in Th2 - like response.

Objective To observe the effect of treating acute left heart failure with Shenmai injection and auxiliary conventional western medicine. Methods 132 patients were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group, with 66 cases in each group. The control group was treated with lanatoside C, captopril, diuretics, and aminophylline. While the treatment group was additionally treated with Shenmai injection on the basis of the control group. Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), left smothering end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)value, the index of b-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), and 24 h dynamic electrocardiogram(ecg)were observed in both groups after 1 month’s treatment. Results LVEF and BNP were improved in both groups after the treatment[LVEF and BNP were(40.42 ± 4.32)%, (306.57 ± 201.21)pg/ml in the treatment group and(37.92±3.32)%, (451.51±294.23)pg/ml in the control group before the treatment;(35.28±4.15)%, (540.17±382.23)pg/ml in the treatment group and(35.13±2.35)%, (572.35± 422.21)pg/ml in the control group after the treatment], and the curative effect in the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05). LVEDD and 24 h average heart rate were also improved in both groups after the treatment [LVEDD and 24 h average heart rate were(59.81±59.81)mm, (79.62±6.38)times/min in the treatment group and(60.91±7.31)mm, (82.61±6.32)times/min in the control group before the treatment;(60.87 ± 7.75)mm, (85.03 ± 7.75)times/min in the treatment group and(61.81 ± 7.35)mm,(86.23 ± 8.35)times/min in the control group after the treatment], but there was no statistical differenc(P>0.05). Conclusion Shenmai injection has good effects in the treatment of acute left heart failure.

This study was aimed to investigate the effect of modifiedYin-Chen-Hao (YCH) decoction on the expression of aquaporin-8 (AQP8) mRNA and protein in rats with estrogen-induced cholestasis, in order to explore the potential mechanism of YCH decoction in the treatment of intrahepatic cholestasis during pregnancy. A total of 50 SD female rats, which were weighed between 180 g to 200 g, were randomly divided into the normal group (N,n = 10) and the model group (M’,n = 40). The animal model of intrahepatic cholestasis was induced by subcutaneous injection of 17-α-ethinylestradiol (5 mg·kg-1·d-1) for 5 days of rats in M’ group. The same volume of propylene glycol was subcutaneously injected to rats in N group. Five days later, rats in M’ group were divided into the model group (M,n = 10), high-dose (Zg,n = 10), middle-dose (Zz,n = 10) and low-dose (Zd,n = 10) modified YCH decoction group. The intragastric administration of normal saline, high-dose, middle-dose and low-dose modified YCH decoction were given to each group for 7 days, respectively. Then, rats were sacrificed and the liver tissues were removed and stored in liquid nitrogen. The expression of AQP8 mRNA and protein were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and western blotting analysis. The results showed that compared with the normal group (N), the expression of AQP8 mRNA and protein in liver tissues of rats in the model group (M) were decreased (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group (M), the high-dose, middle-dose and low-dose modified YCH decoction can increase the expression of AQP8 mRNA and protein in liver tissues (P < 0.05). Moreover, along with the dose increasing of modified YCH decoction, the upregulation of AQP8 mRNA and protein was increased. It was concluded that the molecular mechanism of modified YCH decoction in treatment of intrahepatic cholestasis during pregnancy may be through the increasing of AQP8 mRNA and protein in liver tissues.

Objective: To discuss the value of preserving ICBN during modified radical mastectomy for breast neoplasms. Methods: Sixty-three cases of breast carcinoma who underwent modified radical mastecto-my were studied. Of them, ICBN was completely preserved in 33 cases and was dissected in 30 cases. Sen-sory function of the medial upper arm of all patients was followed up after surgery. Results: No local recur-rence or metastasis was found among the 63 patients during the first, sixth, and twelveth month of follow-up period. Among the 33 cases with ICBN reserved, 29 cases (87.88%) had normal sensation of the skin in up-per medial arm and axilla, while 4 cases (12.12%) had paresthesia. Conclsion: Preserving ICBN can en-hance the quality of life of breast cancer patients after surgery.

Objective To establish a patient-like human ovary carcinoma/spontaneous metastasis model using orthotopic transplantation of histologically intact tumor tissue. Methods An highly metastatic ovarian tumor line (8910PM: human serum carcinoma of the ovary) previously grown substaneously was transplanted into the ovicapaule using microsurgery technique. Histologically intact human ovary tumor pieces gained from implantation site were passaged between ovicapsules for four generations. Results All mice developed ovary tumors and the metastatic rates were about 50 %. The tumors only metastasized to liver. The earliest appearance of metastasis was 14 days and the average survival period was 20.7 ±4.89 days. The microscopic appearance of the metastases was similar to the tumor observed in the substaneous xenografts and orthotopically transplanted.Chromosomes analysis exhibited the feature of human carcinoma and retained genetic stability during the processes of passage. Conclusion Orthotopic implantation provides a suitable micro-environment in which ovarian cancer can express its intrinsic clinically-relevant properties. This approach is relevant to the spontaneous development of ovarian cancer and is thought to be a useful model for studies of metastatic mechanism and therapy for ovary cancer.

Objective:To observe the effect of soluble CD14 (sCD14) on the inducing activity of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) on human gingival fibroblasts(HGFs). Methods:In vitro cultured HGFs were stimulated by FITC labeled LPS at the concentration of 0 (control), 100 ng/ml, 100 ng/ml LPS+100 ?g/ml sCD14 and 100 ng/ml LPS+100 ?g/ml ENP respectively for 24 h. The binding activity of LPS to HGFs was measured in the level of mean fluorescence intensity of FITC-LPS.TNF-? and IL-6 in the culture supernatant were measured by ELISA. [Objective]To investigate the etiology,pathological characteristic and therapeutic effect of spontaneous rupture of the finger extensors.[Method]Twelve patients were included in this research group.Eight cases were diagnosed as spontaneous rupture of the extensor pollicis long(EPL) and were repaired by transfer of the extensor indicis proprius(EIP).Three cases were spontaneous double rupture of the the ring and small finger extensors.The distal stump of the ring finger extensor was woven into the middle finger extensor and the EIP was transferred to reconstruct the extensor digiti quinti.There was one case of spontaneous triple rupture of the the middle,ring finger and small finger extensors.Transplantation of frozen allogenic extensors was utilized.[Result]The finger extensor rupture occurred after either rheumatic arthritis or distal radius fracture.The former pathological examination showed that the tenosynovitis and chronic inflammation of tendons accompanying with localized necrosis was dominant,while tendon fiber rupture played an important role in the latter.All patients achieved 100% of good results and no recurrent rupture occurred.[Conclusion]The inflammation invasion or attrition in the fracture site was a patological basis to cause spontaneous rupture of finger extensors.The EPI transposition was a reliable option to reconstruct the EPL.It is suggested that allogenic tendon transplantation be applied in the case of multiple ruptures of the extensor tendons.

Expression of apelin mRNA in the isolated mouse adipocytes was confirmed by Northern blot. The level of apelin mRNA increased during stage of differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells. Insulin up-regulated the apelin expression in 3T3-L1 adipocytes, suggesting that apelin expression in adipocyte may correlate with obesity, insulin resistance and hypertension.

[Objective]To observe the effect of cross-finger-like micro-weave suture plus sodium hyaluronate technology in the treatment of extensor tendon injury by the animal experiments.[Method]Twenty-eight Leghorn chickens were randomly divided into four groups,double-cross stitching was used in group A in the treatment of extensor tendon injury,double-cross stitching plus sodium hyaluronate in group B,cross-finger-like micro-braided suture in group C,cross-finger-like micro-braided suture plug sodium hyaluronate surgery in group D.Six weeks after surgery,morphological observation,histological observation and biomechanical determination were done by using the naked eye and microscope,as well as the results of the experiments were statistically analyzed.[Result]In the group of the cross-finger-like micro-weave suture plus sodium hyaluronate,tendon grew in good shape without nodules after surgery,pseudome was formed around tendon,tendon cells mostly arranged regularly in bunches,maximum load was (70.9 ? 5.68) N on average,it was significantly larger than those in other groups and there was a significant difference by the analysis of variance (P
