Objective To evaluate the effect of continuous adenosine infusion on mesentery microcirculation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in rats with asphyxia. Methods Rat model of asphyxia was established in 22 healthy Wistar rats. The animals were then randomly divided into normal saline group (group A, n=10), epinephrine group (group B, n=6) and epinephrine plus adenosine group (group C, n=6). After a 3-min asphyxia without intervention, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was started. The cardiac compression was carried out with an electric cardio-pulmonary resuscitation machine (200 times/min). Respiration was restored and maintained with a ventilator with tidal volume of 4ml, breathing rate 50times/min and FiO2 100%. After a 4-min CPR, rats in group A and group B were given normal saline and epinephrine (bolus of 90?g/kg) respectively, and in group C epinephrine (bolus of 90?g/kg) plus 70?g/kg adenosine were given. Electric defibrillation would be initiated if there was ventricular fibrillation. The reperfusion rate of mesentery arterioles and venules, diameter of blood vessels and relative blood velocity were observed. Results The reperfusion rate of mesentery arterioles and venules was significantly higher in group C than in group B (P

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of the recombinant protein Sj_Ts4 in immunodiagnosis of Schistosomiasis japonica. Methods Seventy-four blood samples of schistosomiasis japonica patients(acute, chronic and advanced)were used for evaluating the sensitivity.Blood samples from 24 Clonorchiasis patients,8 patients with hookworm infections and 30 normal persons from the areas without Schistosomiasis were used ror patients. Results The positivity rates were 97.1%(33/34),100.0%(16/16),87.5%(21/24)in rSj-Ts4-ELISA and 100%(34/34),100.0%(16/16),75.0%(18/24)in SjAWA-ELISA in acute, chmnic and advanced Schistosomiasis. respectively.Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference in sensitivity(X2=1.23,P>0.05)between both recombinant and crude antigens. The false positive reaction was found to be 6.7%(2/30)in rSj-Ts4-ELISA and 3.3%(1/30)in SjAWA-ELISA when detected in 30 cases of normal control sera.but no statisticallv significant difference was noted(x2=0.35,P>0.05).Twelve point five percent(3/24),20.8%(5/24)and 12.5%(1/8),37.5% (3/8),of cross-reactions were observed between rSj-Ts4-ELISA and SjAWA-ELISA for detecting the sera of patients with clonorehiasis and hookworms. There was no significant difference of cross-reaction in two parasitic infections (x2=0.60,1.33,P>0.05)with the two tests. Conclusions The rSj-Ts4 antigen shows higher sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of Schistosomiasis japonica, which is helpful in the serological diagnosis of Schistosomiasis japonica in endemic areas.

This paper aims to establish a method for the determination of sulfur dioxide in sulfur fumigation Chinese herbs. Sample powder and hydrochloric acid solution were isolated by paraffin layer in order to avoid early reactions, with the generation of sulfur dioxide, headspace with airtight needle was used to transfer sulfur dioxide into gas chromatograph, and detected with thermal conductivity detector. The analytical performance was demonstrated by the analysis of 12 herbs, spiked at four concentration levels. In general, the recoveries ranging from 70% to 110%, with relative standard deviations (RSDs) within 15%, were obtained. The limit of detection (LOD) was below 10 mg x kg(-1). Standard addition can be used for low recovery samples. The method is simple, less time-consuming, specific and sensitive. Methods comparison revealed that gas chromatography is better than traditional titration in terms of method operability, accuracy and specificity, showing good application value.

Objective To express Schistosoma japonicum Mago nashi(SjMago)gene, and prepare its specific polyclonal antibody. Methods SjMago gene was amplified by PCR from Schistosomulum cDNA library and subcloned into pET28a(+)vector,its recombinant proteins were expressed with IPTG.Rabbits were immunized with the polyacrylamide gel particles containing the recombinant proteins for polyclonal antibody preparation, the sera were detected for antibody specificity by Western blot and titer by ELISA assay. Results SjMago prokaryotic expression plasmid was successfully recombined and the target proteins was induced by IPTG in a molecular weight of 17 X 103,the high titer(1∶40 960)polyclonal antibody was isolated from the immunized rabbit, specific rotein band was detected by Western blot. Conclusion SjMago protein has been successfully expressed and its specific polyantibody is prepared, which lays the foundation for further study.

Objective To survey the retraction of dental unit waterlines (DUWLs)in medical institutions, and evaluate the influencing factors for retraction of DUWLs.Methods In May-November 2014,dental chair units (DCUs)in medical institutions in Tianjin City were sampled through systematic random sampling method,retrac-tion volume of DUWLs was detected by independently made detector, the relevant influencing factors were investi-gated.Results A total of 58 DCUs in 30 medical institutions in 10 districts(counties)of Tianjin were investigated, the average retraction volume of DUWLs was (103.60 ±117.85 )mm3 ,the qualified rate of retraction volume of DUWLs was 48.28 %(28/58);length of utilization of DCUs was positively correlated with DUWLs retraction (r=0.52,P <0.001).There were no significant difference in retraction volume of DUWLs among medical institutions in different districts(counties),levels of medical institutions,DUC brands, and modes of DUC water supply(all P >0.05 ).Conclusion The qualified rate of retraction volume of DUWLs is low, routine maintenance of DUCs needs to be intensified, especially the long-term used DUCs,contaminatin of DUWLs due to the invalidity of retraction valve should be prevented.

Purpose To investigate the effects and the mechanism of oleum curcumae wenchowensis (OCW) with different concentrations (0, 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg/mL) on chronic myeloid leukemia cell line K-562 cells in vitro. Methods The apoptosis of K-562 cells was dyed by Hoechest 33258 and detected by flow cytometry marked with Annexin V/PI. The Expression of Fas/FasL, bcr/abl, bcl-2 and p53 was detected by semi-quantity reverse transcript-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot. Results The results showed that the apoptosis rates were gradually elevated. The expression of Fas and FasL protein was increased in a concentration dependent manner, while bcr/abl, bcl-2 and p53 had no significant changes. Conclusion OCW could induce the apoptosis of K-562 cells by up-regulating the expression of Fas/FasL protein.

Fifty-six pesticides were extracted by high-speed homogenization, and then purified through gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridges. The residues were simultaneously identified and quantified by GC-ECD equipped with dual tower, dual column and two micro-ECD detectors. The analytical performance was demonstrated by the analysis of 3 TCMs samples' extracts, spiked at three concentration levels for each pesticide. In general, the recoveries ranging from 70% to 110%, with relative standard deviations (RSDs) better than 15%, were obtained. The limit of detection (LOD) for most of the targeted pesticides tested was below 0.01 mg kg(-1). The method had good extraction efficiency, purification effect and good reproducibility, which could be applied to the determination of organochlorine and pyrethroid pesticide residues in the routine analysis of TCMs.
