Objective To explore the application of the automatic bone age assessment of BoneXpert software in Children and adolescent of China (Shanghai).Methods Left hand and wrist radiographs of 434 cases of children from trauma (264 boys and 170 girls) were obtained from Jan.2010 to Dec.2013.Bone age was assessed by BoneXpert software and 40 radiographs were randomly chosen and re-evaluated after a week.Results Seven images were rejected by BoneXpert,so the efficiency of the software was 98.4％ and it takes only 14.5 s for every image.Sample assessments by two times are exactly the same.As to BoneXpert software,there were statistical differences between bone age and chronological age in 8 groups:7,8,9,11 years old boys and 2,3,9,11 years old girls(P ＜ 0.05) out of 26 groups,and the average difference was about 1 s.The following modifications suggested that 0.57,0.79,0.93,-0.38 and-0.22,0.30,0.37,0.59 years could be added respectively for the groups of boys aged 7,8,9,11 and girls aged 2,3,9,11 years old according to their average differences between the bone age and the chronological age.Conclusions The BoneXpert method for automated determination of skeletal maturity which evaluates bone age objectively and quickly can be applied clinically after slight adjustment in some age groups.BoneXpert software is 100 percent automatic and could eliminate the subjective evaluation inaccuracy.

UNLABELLEDOBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of Nepsilon-(carboxymethyl) lysine albumin (CMLs), a primary advanced glycation end products (AGEPs) isoform in diabetic body, on the function and angiogenesis of adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) and the protective effect of Danhong Injection (DH). METHODS Human ADSCs were cultured and separated from human subcutaneous fatty tissue using enzymatic digestion and centrifugation. The morphology was observed using optical microscope and differentiation capacities assessed. Cells were exposed to 5 different interventions respectively for 24 h, i.e., PBS, 60 1 microg/mL BSA, 60 microg/mL CML-BSA, 100 microL/mL DH, and 60 micro./mL CML-BSA +100 microL/mL DH. Their effect on the proliferation, migration, apoptosis, and secretion were observed using WST-1 assay, Transwell assay, Annexin V-FITC/PI flow meter test reagent kit, human VEGF reagent kit, ELISA reagent kit, respectively. The effect on ADSCs angiogenesis was observed by in vitro angiogenesis test.

RESULTSCompared with the BSA group, the capacities of proliferation and migration could be significantly inhibited by CML-BSA, the apoptosis promoted, the secretion of VEGF reduced, and the angiogenesis of ADSCs weakened (P < 0.05). Compared with the blank control group, 100 microL/mL DH could significantly promote the proliferation and migration capacities of ADSCs, inhibit apoptosis of ADSCs, increase the secretion of VEGF, and improve the angiogenesis of ADSCs (P < 0.05). Compared with the CML-BSA group, the inhibition of CML-BSA on the proliferation and migration capacities of ADSCs could be significantly reversed, the promotion of CML-BSA on the apoptosis of ADSCs improved, the secretion of VEGF increased, and the angiogenesis of ADSCs elevated (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONclusion CMLs could significantly inhibit the proliferation and migration capacities of ADSCs, promote their apoptosis, and inhibit their angiogeneses, which could be improved by DH.

[Absrtact] Objective To investigate the effect of anatomic quantitative target evaluation of class-room teaching on students' professional knowledge learning ability. Methods Twenty-five international students of 6-year program of grade 2013 were chosen as the experimental group, while twenty-seven Chinese students coming from the same class of grade 2013 and fifteen international students of 6-year program of grade 2012 were chosen as two control groups; quantitative and non-quantitative evaluation were imple-mented respectively by classroom questions and answers; teaching effects were evaluated by scales in the separation of teaching and examination, by records of answers for in-class questions and by questionnaire survey; SPSS 20.0 was used to make statistical analysis, one-way ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis test to com-pare the scores of three groups of students, P<0.05 indicates statistic significance. Results Compared with control groups, the accuracy of answers for class questions were improved greatly in the experimental group (2/3~3/4) vs. (1/2) and (2/3~3/4) vs. (1/2) and the average test scores (80.62±5.93) vs. (79.62±5.93) and (80.62 ±5.93) vs. (70.16 ±6.36) of the experimental group students were higher than control groups, the difference was statistically significant between the control group and the control group (P=0.045). Conclusions
Quantitative evaluation of teaching objectives in anatomy class can improve the learning attitude of foreign students and enhance their academic ability.

Objective To investigate the feasibility and therapeutic effect of stenting therapy by using modified Y-shaped self-expandable metal stent for the stenosis of gastroenteric stoma. Methods According to the particular anatomic structures and the pathological features of the narrowed gastroenteric stoma,the authors designed a modified Y-shaped self-expandable metal stent. Under the fluoroscopic guidance,implantation of modified Y-shaped self-expandable metal stent was performed in 5 patients with narrowed gastroenteric stoma. The technical safety and the clinical results were evaluated. Results The modified Y-shaped self-expandable metal stent was successfully implanted with one procedure in all five patients. After the implantation the symptoms such as nausea,vomiting,abdominal distension were promptly relieved,and the patients' living quality was markedly improved. Conclusion The stenting therapy with modified Y-shaped self-expandable metal stent can rapidly relieve the stenosis of gastroenteric stoma once for all. The technique is feasible and the short-term effect is reliable,therefore,it is worth popularizing this therapy in clinical practice.

Objective To investigate the application value of continuous irrigation and vacuum suction by subcutaneous drainage tube for prevention of abdominal type Ⅳ incision infection.Methods A prospective,single-blind, randomized, controlled study was conducted based on the clinical data of 123 patients with abdominal type Ⅳ incision infection who were admitted to the First People's Hospital of Foshan between January 2008 and July 2014.Patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group based on the random number table and received open surgery.Patients in the experimental group were placed subcutaneous drainage tube with postoperative continuous irrigation and vacuum suction, while patients in the control group adopted the method of traditional abdominal closure without subcutaneous drainage tube.The levels of preoperative hemoglobin (Hb) and albumin (Alb), severity grading according to the American Society of Anesthetheologists (ASA), levels of Hb and Alb at postoperative day 1, 3, 7 were recorded and postoperative incision infection and bacteria culture were observed.Patients received bi-weekly regular return visit by outpatient evamination after discharged up to 3 months after suture removal.Measurement data with normal distribution were presented as x-± s and comparison between groups was analyzed by t test.Measurement data with skew distribution were presented as M (Qn) and comparison between groups were analyzed by rank sum test.Repeated measures data were analyzed by the repeated measures ANOVA.Count data were analyzed by the chi-square test.Results One hundred and twenty-three patients were screened for eligibility, and 65 were allocated into the experimental group and 58 into the control group.The levels of Hb and Alb at postoperative day 1, 3, 7 were (111 ± 15) g/L, (107 ± 18) g/L, (108 ± 13) g/L and 30 g/L (26 g/L,32 g/L), 31 g/L(28 g/L,33 g/L), 35 g/L(32 g/L,37 g/L) in the experimental group and (112 ± 13)g/L, (106 ±16)g/L, (106 ± 12)g/L and 30 g/L(25 g/L,32 g/L), 32 g/L(29 g/L,33 g/L), 37 g/L (32 g/L,38 g/L) in the control group, with no significant difference in the changing trends of the above indexes between the 2 groups (F =0.124, 0.007, P ＞ 0.05).There were 4 patients with incision infection in the experimental group and 12 patients in the control group, showing a significant difference (x2=2.723, P ＜ 0.05).The infections occurred at postoperative 4-6 days confined to subcutaneous tissues and unreached to muscular and below layers, and then were cured by incision open drainage without recurrence.Patients without incision infection were removed the stitches at postoperative 7-9 days.Incision bacteria cultures showed that Escherichia coli was detected in 8 cases (including 1 complicated with Enterococcus faecalis and 1 complicated with Klebsiella pneumonia and Pseudomonas aeruginosa), Pseudomonas aeruginosa in 1 case, Klebsiella pneumonia in 2 cases, Acinetobacter baumanii in 1 case, Enterobacter cloacae in 1 case and no bacteria in 3 cases.All the patients were followed up for 3 months after incision healing and survived well without recurrence and complications such as incision split and incision fistula.Conclusion Continuous irrigation and vacuum suction by subcutaneous drainage tube can be operated easily and effectively reduce the postoperative infection rate in abdominal type Ⅳ incision.

Objective To evaluate the effect of therapeutic patient education on improving life quality of children with atopic dermatitis (AD). Methods A total of 109 children with AD were enrolled, including 53 patients in the intervention group and 56 patients in the control group. The intervention group was given therapeutic patient education in addition to routine treatment, while the control group was given routine treatment without therapeutic patient education. After three months two groups were compared with the disease severity and quality of life in children and their families. Results Compared with control group, the intervention group had significant improvements in severity of AD (P?=?0.003) and also significant improvements in quality of life (IDQOL and CDLQI) (P?=?0.004). The family life quality (DFI) of the two groups were both improved, but the difference was not signiifcant (P?=?0.492). Conclusions Therapeutic patient education can improve symptoms of atopic dermatitis, and the quality of life of children as well.

Objective To study the Clinical characteristics of Parkinson′s disease(PD) in natural population.Methods All the patients diagnosed as Parkinsonism from a prevalence study in Beijing in 1997 were collected for investigation. The spectrum of the clinical features of Parkinsonism and the onset, progression and prognosis of PD were analysed, as well as the impact factors to the prognosis were analysed. Results 109 cases were ascertained as PD from the sample population, in which 64(58.7% ) were PD, 11 (10. 1% ) were Parkinsen plus syndrome and 34(31.2% ) were symptom Parkinsonism. 30 of the 64 PD cases were male. The median age of PD was 74. 5 years. The median age at onset was 68 years old. The median duration was 5 years. The average Hoehn-Yahr staging score was 2. 81. The clinical characteristics of PD and other Parkinsonism were compared, as asymmetry of symptoms and signs was an important feature to differentiate PD from other Parkinsonism. 20. 3 percent of PD cases were associated with dementia.16(25% )of the 64 PD cases initiated with essential tremor and developed to PD during 6 ～ 49 years after the onset of tremor. Tremor was the dominant initial symptoms of PD(60. 9% ). Type of initial symptoms was a relatively definite impact factor to the prognosis of PD. Levodopa treatment was likely to delay the duration of PD. Conclusions The clinical features of Parkinsonism in natural population were different as compared with previous studies. A further study on the natural history of PD thoroughly is needed.

TCM may be polluted by microbial in the production process due to ambient air, facilities and appliances and operating personnel, which affects the quality and efficacy of the final product. The GMP certification inspection standard of TCM manufacturing enterprises clearly established: "Sterilization methods of Chinese herbal medicine, intermediate products, finished products should follow the principle whether or not to change its quality", "TCM powder that used as medicine directly should follow the principle whether to do microbiological examinations". So it's particularly important for product quality, corporate energy consumption and its efficiency to choose the scientific and effective sterilization techniques and methods. Ozone is a kind of safe, environmentally friendly, efficient and no residue emerging sterilization technology. It has been widely applied in various fields of medical and health care and production and living. This paper mainly analyzed the ozone sterilization technology of TCM, aiming to explore the principle of ozone sterilization, the advantages, application status and existing problems and so on. The management regulations and implementation rules of ozone sterilization were summarized to make sterilization of Chinese medicine in the production, management, quality control and other aspects standardized, reasonable and scientific, and to provide the theoretical reference of the ozone sterilization technology for TCM and its preparation.
