Diabetic cognitive dysfunction is one of the important complications of diabetes mellitus .Insulin plays an important protective role in cognitive function through MAPK and PI 3-K/Akt signaling pathway .Insulin resistance may give rise to excessive tau protein phosphorylation , formation of neurofibrillary tangles inhibits insulin degrading enzyme , reduces the degradation of amyloid β;enhances oxidative stress , further damages the integrity of the neu-ronal structure and function and eventually leads to cognitive dysfunction .

[Objective]To observe the growth status and osteogenic potential of gene transferred mesenchymal stem cells with Ad-BMP-2 planted on allogenetic acellular and decalcified bone matrix served as tissue engineering scaffold.[Method]Rabbit mesanchymal stem cells transferred with Ad-BMP-2 were seeded on allogenetic acellular and decalcified bone matrix, the growth status of gene transferred MSCs on the scaffold was observed by scanning electron microscopy and the ostengenic potential was observed by testing contents of ALP and BGP and secretion of Collagen I in the culture supermatant.[Result]The MSCs transfected with Ad-BMP-2 grew well on the tissue engineering scaffold, the osteogenic ability of the gene transfected MSCs showed great significant difference compared with that of the control group.[Conclusion]The MSCs transfected with Ad-BMP-2 can grow well on the acellular and decalcified bone matrix and the osteogenic potential can be great improved by gene transfection.
3.Vitreopapillary traction:a possible reason of anterior ischemic optic neuropathy
Tianjin Medical Journal 2016;44(6):766-768,654
Objective To discuss the relevance between vitreopapillary traction (VPT) and anterior ischemic optic neu?ropathy (AION). Methods Two patients suffering from AION were underwent routine ophthalmic examination, and visual field (VF), fundus fluorescence angiography (FFA) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) examination. The images were analyzed. Results VPT syndrome was observed by OCT in both cases. In addition, the affected parts of VPT were consis?tent to that of AION. Conclusion Vitreopapillary traction is a possible reason of anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.

Mild cognitive impairment caused by craniocerebral trauma is the key points and difficulties in judicial authentication. This article has comparative analysis of each mode of event-related potential (classical Oddball, Eriksen flanker task and so on), which can provide a more objective method for such craniocerebral trauma cases in clinical forensic judicial authentication.

Objective To investigate the related factors of clinical incidence and the ultrasound diagnostic value of endometrial polyps (EMP).Methods A total of 278 patients with clinical abnormal vaginal bleeding, menorrhagia, infertility, cervical polyps or physical examination showing EMP received vaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy. The related clinical factors were recorded and single factors and multivariate unconditional Logistic regression analysis were carried. Results The univariate analysis showed that the number of pregnancy, menopause, placing intrauterine device, oral comtraceptives, history of hormone therapy, chronic endometritis, cervical polyp, merger endometriosis and obesity were the statistically significant factors of EMP incidence (P < 0.05 or < 0.01),which were used as dependent variables for multivariate Logistic regression analysis, indicating that menopause, chronic endometritis, history of hormone therapy and cervical polyp significantly affecting EMP incidence (P < 0.05),with OR values of 4.068,4.122,3.770 and 3.983 respectively. Conclusion Menopause, chronic endometritis, history of hormone therapy, cervical polyps are the related risk factors of EMP.

Objective T o explore the com position characteristic of event related potential (E R P ) in dif-ferent visual acuity levels, and to provide theoretical basis for the objective assessm ent of visual acuity. Methods M onocular stim ulus w as perform ed on 16 selected subjects. T he subjects w ere required to look straight at the screen ahead and count the am ount of stim uli from different directions. T he pictures of optotype stim ulus w hich corresponding to three different visual acuity levels w ere show ed in the center of the screen. The ERP results w ere recorded separately. Results (1) The P1 am plitudes of m atch stim uli recorded under the supra-threshold visual acuity level w ere higher than that of m atch stim uli recorded under the threshold and sub-threshold visual acuity levels. T here w as no significant difference betw een the P 1 am plitudes of m atch stim uli recorded under the threshold and sub-threshold visual acuity levels. T he tendency of conflict stim uli w as sim ilar to that of m atch stim uli under three visual acuity levels. (2) In the 340-500 m s post-stim ulus range, P 300 com ponent w as found under supra-threshold and threshold visual acuity levels; no P 300 com ponent w as found in corresponding tim e w indow under sub-threshold visual acuity. T he differences of P 300 am plitudes am ong three visual acuity levels w ere statistically significant. T he am plitudes from high to low w ere the supra-threshold, threshold and sub-threshold visual acuity levels. Conclusion E R P can be a potential new m ethod for the objective assessm ent of visual acuity in forensic m edicine.

Objective:To investigate the craniofacial features in patients with cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD).Methods:The facial features, cervical vertebral bone age and skeletal abnormalities of 8 patients with CCD were studied by analyzing facial photos,cephalo-metric and panoramic radiographs.Results:4 patients were in the early growth stage and the other 4 in the late period of development. The bossing forehead and inclined eye fissure were observed in all patients, but underdevelopment of midfaces were not obviously pres-ented in younger patients.Morphological abnormalities of craniofacial bones, such as ascending ramus, coronoid process, nasal bones and disappearence of gonial angle were observed in all patients. Conclusion:Some craniofacial malformations in patients with CCD may be presented earlier than underdeveloped midface, which can be helpful for early diagnosis of CCD.

Objective To establish a stable model of rat orthotopic left lung transplantation using direct suture of vessels and bronchi. Methods Ten Sprague Dawley (SD) rats weighted 250 to 350 g were used as lung donors and recipients respectively. Airway and pulmonary vessels were reconstructed microsurgically using continuous running suture technique. Survival time were recorded and donor lungs were checked by autopsy. Results All 10 rats received left lung transplantation were weaned from ventilator successfully. Both of cold ischemia time and warm ischemia time were about 40 minutes. The total procedure took about 130 minutes. Autopsy was used to check the patency of anastomotic sites. No thrombosis or air leak was found. Conclusions Direct microsurgical surture can be used to establish an experimental model of orthotopic left allograft lung transplantation in rats. This method is proved to be stable, reliable and similar to clinical practices.
