OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for the rational use of TCM injections. METHODS:The related data of using TCM injections was drawn from May 2009 to May 2014. And the data of 5 TCM injections,including Shengmai and Shenmai in-jection,were statistically analyzed,the indications of 8 TCM injections,including Shengmai and Shenmai injection,were also sta-tistically analyzed. RESULTS:In solvents evaluation,the 5 TCM injections were used 501 times,in which 391 times(78.04%)of the solvents used were rational,381 times(76.05%)of the solvent doses used were rational;in clinical indications evaluation,the 8 TCM injections were used for 2 579 patients,in which 1 120 cases were in accordance with the instructions while the other 1 459 cases were not,the qualification ratio was 43.43%. CONCLUSIONS:There were still some problems in using TCM injection in our hospital in the aspects of solvent as well as indications.

OBJECTIVE: To establish the fingerprints of Lonicera similis from Sichuan and Chongqing.METHODS: Chlorogenic acid was taken as the reference substance.The separation was carried out on Dikma Kromasil C18(250 mm?4.6 mm,10 ?m) column with methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid solution as mobile phase(in gradient elution) under a detection wavelength of 326 nm.RESULTS: A total of 11 common peaks appeared in the 10 batches of L.similis samples,and the parameters of the common peaks were up to the standard of the specification for fingerprints of Chinese medicine injections.CONCLUSION: The established HPLC fingerprints can be used as a reference for the quality evaluation and variety discrimination of L.similis.

Objective To investigate the role of mitochondrial KATP channel in the mechanism of the protective effect of ischemic preconditioning (IP) against ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury.Methods Forty-eight Wistar rats of both sexs weighing 250-350 g were used in this study. Forty rats were randomly divided into 5 groups ( n = 8 each): group A I/R; group B IP+ I/R; group C diazoxide (DZ mito-KATP channel activator) + I/R; group D 5-HD (mito-KATP channel blocker) + IP + I/R and group E 5-HD + DZ + I/R. Another 8 animals were used for electron microscopic examination of normal mitochondria as control. The animals were anesthetized with intraperitoneal pentobarbital 30 mg?kg-1. The hearts were immediately excised and passively perfused in a Langendorff apparatus with K-H solution at 5.8 kPa perfusion pressure and 36.5-37.5℃ via aortic cannulation. A fluid-filled latex balloon was via left atrium in left ventricle for the measurement of left ventricular function. I/R was induced after 30 min stabilization by clamping aortic cannula for 40 min followed by 30 min reperfusion. In group B and D the isolated hearts underwent 2 episodes of 5 min ischemia followed by 5 min reperfusion before I/R. In group C and E DZ 50 ?mol?L-1 was infused for 10 min and in group D and E 5-HD 100 ?mol?L-1 was infused for 10 min before I/R. HR, LVSP, LVEDP and coronary flow (CF) were measured at the end of stabilization (T0 , baseline), immediately before I/R (T1 ) and at 10, 20 and 30 min of reperfusion (T2.3.4.), and left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP= LVSP- LVEDP) was calculated. Myocardial tissue was obtained at the end of 30 min reperfusion for electron microscopic examination of mitochondria. Mitochondrial ultrastructure was assessed by Flameng scoring system (0 = normal, 4 = severely damaged) .Results Ischemic and DZ preconditioning significantly increased LVDP and decreased LVEDP and Flameng score. 5-HD pretreatment partly antagonized the protective effect of IP and completely antagonized that of DZ against I/R injury. Conclusion Ischemic preconditioning protects the heart against I/R injury mainly by activating mitochondrial KATP channel.

It managed to achieve “three firsts”, viz. the first to put forward in the domestic medical industry the suggestion of taking strategic actions so as to promote the construction of a clean and honest administration in the hospital; the first among hospitals of the armed forces to cultivate an “experimental plot” that partook of no money earmarked for national defense; and the first among large general hospitals at home to develop into a non profit hospital without government subsidies. It also attained remarkable results in the fight against SARS.

Objective To investigate the clinical results of limited exposure and indirect reduction in treatment of tibial plateau fractures. Methods 41 cases of tibial plateau fractures were treated with limited exposure and indirect reduction. According to Schatzker classification, there were 6 cases of type Ⅰ, 13 type Ⅱ, 11 type Ⅲ, 6 type Ⅳ, 3 type Ⅴand 2 type Ⅵ. Type I fractures were reduced in the close manner by applying large reduction forceps and fixed with percutaneous lag screws. Type Ⅱ, type Ⅲand Type Ⅳfractures were reduced by applying large reduction forceps and fixed by percutaneous plating after restoring joint surface and bone grafting. Type Ⅴand Type Ⅵfractures were reduced by applying fracture distracter and large reduction forceps before they were fixed with percutaneous plating. The clinical outcomes were assessed according to Rasmussens system. Results 36 patients were followed up from 6 to 60 months, with an average of 30.2 months. No deep vein thrombosis, infection, or compartment syndrome was found postoperatively. All the 36 fractures united. Overall, 25 (69%) patients were rated as excellent, 8 (22%) good, and 3 (9%) fair. Conclusion In treatment of tibial plateau fracture, limited exposure and indirect reduction has advantages of less dissection, stable fixation, early movement, better joint function and fewer complications.

Objective To probe into the characteristics of men who have sex with men living in small-medium sized cities and provide scientific foundation for the formulation of strategy for AIDS prevention and control.Methods A qualitative survey was carried out by convenience sampling for thirty one selected MSM.Results Interviewees had a large age gap,widely different occupations and various degrees of education;they depended mainly on internet and friends' contacts to find their sex partners;their knowledge about HIV/STDs was poor and they were indifferent to the risk of AIDs,but were faced with enormous psychological pressure.Multiple sex partners,unprotected anal intercourse were their main high risk behaviors,and they hoped to have access to free condoms,free HIV detection and hot line consultation.Conclusion To implement prevention in an effective manner,close attention should be paid to the role of key persons within the MSM group,to increasing knowledge of the target population,to protecting their mental health and to creating a friendly social environment for their existence and effective use of internet.
