The antagonism of two strains B1 and B2 of Bacillus spp. against pea root rot pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. pisi was studied. The result of pairing culture showed that B1 and B2 strains of Bacillus spp. had strong antifungal activity to the pathogen. The colonial color of the pathogen changed from gray to white, aerial hyphas increased and entangled into group after treatment with the cell-free fermentational filtrate of B1 or B2. Observation under optical microscope showed that hyphas and spores of the pathogen swelled and distorted with concentrated cytoplasm after treatment, the spores could not germinate or germinated abnormally . A lot of vesicles appeared at the top of the hyphas, and the hyphas stopped growing and broke finally, their cytoplasm spilled from the cell. The cell-free fermentational filtrate of B1 or B2 strains contained 1795.53?g/mL and 1345.93?g/mL protein respectively, from which two antifungal proteins of 103.5 kD (B1 ) and 127.6 kD (B2) were purified.

Objective:To evaluate the value of shear wave dispersion imaging in identifying inflammatory reaction zone after liver ablation in rabbits. Methods:The animal model was made by laser ablation of rabbit liver, and then shear wave dispersion imaging and strain elastography imaging were performed on the ablation area at 3 d, 7 d, and 14 d after ablation. The shear wave dispersion values, elastic value and strain ratio measured by shear wave elastography, shear wave dispersion and strain elastography in different regions such as central necrotic tissue, surrounding inflammatory reaction zone and normal liver tissue after ablation were analyzed. Results:The shear wave dispersion values of inflammatory reaction zone around ablation site, necrotic tissue in the center of ablation site and normal liver tissue in rabbits were (26.07±4.55)m·s -1·kHz -1, (21.97±10.53)m·s -1·kHz -1and (15.45±3.94)m·s -1·kHz -1, respectively, the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Compared with the three time points of 3 d, 7 d and 14 d after ablation, the shear wave dispersion value of the inflammatory zone was the highest on the 7th day after ablation ( P<0.05), while the elastic value and strain ratio in this region did not change significantly among these three time points ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Shear wave dispersion imaging can simultaneously measure tissue elasticity and viscosity, which has certain application value in identifying the inflammatory reaction zone around the ablation site in rabbit liver.

Objective To evaluate peak left ventricular(LV) apical rotation velocity during early diastole by speckle tracking echocardiography in normal peopleand patients with myocardial hypertrophy because of hypertension. Methods Two dimensional images of left basal and apical ventricular short axis view were recorded in 20 healthy people and 20 patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH). Rotation velocity-time curves of six segments in LV apex and base were obtained using Qlab software. The peak rotation velocity in early diastole of LV apex(A-Vel) and base (B-Vel) were acquired through Excel software. Results In LVH group,A-Vel was significantly decreased(P<0. 05) while B-Vel appeared no difference (P = 0.58) compared with healthy individuals. Conclusions Peak LV apical rotation velocity in early diastole can evaluate the change of LV diastolic function in patients with hypertension and LVH.

Objective To detect the changes of soluble αB-crystallin in X-ray irradiated rat lens, and to explore the potential role of αB-crystallin in the pathogenesis of radiation-induced cataract. Methods The radiation cataract model was established with the accelerator linear in male Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats.The rats were divided into normal control group, experimental control group and X-irradiated group(the doses were 5,15,and 25 Gy,respectively). The rats were killed at 3 morlths post-irradiation,and the lenses were carefully isolated and homogenized. The protein changes of αB-crystallin in lens supernatant were measured by Western blotting. Results Typical radiation-induced cataract was observed in 15 and 25 Gy groups, while the lenses of the normal control group, experimental control group and the 5 Gy irradiation group remained transparent. The αB-crystallin protein level was significandy decreased in a dose-dependent manner(5 Gy group:0.871±0.085;15 Gy group:0.643±0.096;25 Gy group:0.338±0.160;F=40.764,P<0.05).Conclusions The decreased expression of the molecular chaperone αB-crystallin in X-irradiated rat lens indicates its important role in the pathogenesis of irradiation cataract.

Objective:To compare the effect of TiO 2 nanoparticles on antioxidant function and element content of liver and kidney tissues in young and adult rats .Methods:Forty-eight SD male rats , half in 4-week (youth) old and half in 9-week (adult) old rats, were randomly divided into 8 groups, which were exposed to TiO2 nanoparticles [(75 ±15) nm, anatase] through intragastric administration at 0, 10, 50 and 200 mg/kg body weight every day for 30 days. The liver and kidney tissues were collected for antioxidant function and element content analysis .Results: 200 mg/kg TiO2 nanoparticles exposure significantly increased the liver total superoxide dismutase ( T-SOD ) activity and the kidney reduced glutathione (GSH)/oxidized glutathione (GSSG) ratios in young rats, and significantly decreased the liver Mo, Co, Mn and P contents and the kidney Rb and Na contents in young rats .200 mg/kg TiO2 nanoparticles exposure significantly increased GSH/GSSG ratios and Rb contents and decreased Na con-tents in the liver of adult rats .No significantly difference was found in antioxidant indexes and elements content in the kidney of adult rats between three experimental groups and control group .Conclusion:TiO2 nanoparticles can enhance the antioxidant capacity and decrease the elements content in rat liver and kidney tissues .The liver is the more sensitive target organ and the young animals are more susceptible to TiO2 nanoparticles toxicity by the oral routes .

Objective To establish a new processing method for gait data on Matlab to evaluate the hindlimbs behavior of non-human primates. Methods Gait analysis was tested on three rhesus monkeys 6 weeks after spinal cord injury, and kinematics data of hindlimbs were obtained using the VICON system. The raw data of kinematics were filtered and extracted, which were achieved through VICON 3D motion capture system with the Excel link combining Matlab with Microsoft Excel, and calculated in the Matlab environment. Results The kinematic parameters such as step length, step height, knee joint angle, and malleolus joint angle were gained by calculating. The mean values of step length (F=2.869, P=0.088) and step height (F=1.148, P=0.344) showed no significant difference at three speeds, which implied a higher repeatability of the data model. Angle-time curve reflected the joint function and movement. This system initially described the foot gait trajectory which could be used in gait repetitive analysis, and also generated the gait 2D/3D trajectories of hindlimbs. Conclusion The implement of these functions makes the post-processing of data more flexible and open whitout VICON system, and the calculated parameters and space tracing of gait trajectory basically meet the need of hindlimb behavior evaluation for nonhuman primate.
