1. Pharmacokinetic interaction between aminophylline and metronidazole in rats
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(1):63-67
OBJECTIVE: To establish an HPLC-UV method for the simultaneous determination of theophylline and metronidazole in rat plasma, so as to explore the pharmacokinetic interaction between theophylline and metronidazole. METHODS: Eighteen male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were divided into aminophylline group, metronidazole group, aminophylline and metronidazole group. Blood samples were collected at intervals after each intervenous administration. Then the concentrations of theophylline and metronidazole were determined by HPLC, and the pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by DAS2.0 software and evaluated by one-way analysis of variance using SPSS19.0 software. Drug-drug interaction was tested by 95% confidence interval. RESULTS: Compared with single mediacation groups, the pharmacokinetic parameters t1/2 MRT, AUC0-t, Vd and CL of the combined group showed no significant difference (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: Aminophylline and metronidazole do not have pharmacokinetic interaction in rats. Copyright 2013 by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association.
2.Application of beta blockers in the treatment of patients with heart failure
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(03):-
Beta blocker can be categorized by non-selective agents, selective agents and agents with vasodilatory effect.Beta blocker therapy represents a major advance in the treatment of heart failure patients. The mechanisms include up-regulation of beta receptor, reversing remodeling, improving contractile and diastolic function, antiarrhythmia and anti-ischemia.Evidences from randomized controlled clinical trials have supported its use in the treatment of patients with heart failure to decrease mortality and improve life quality.Guidelines with various versions recommend that ?-blockers are indicated for patients with symptomatic or asymptomatic heart failure and a depressed ejection fraction of lower than 40%.There is something to be noticed for rational use of ?-blockers such as timing, dosage, duration and contraindications.
3.Research on strategy of intellectual property protection of traditional Chinese medicine from the perspective of enterprise
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(7):577-580
Traditional Chinese medicine is the few field of owing independent intellectual property in China, the implement of intellectual property strategy is important for the long-term development of traditional Chinese medicine enterprises. At present, traditional Chinese medicine enterprises still remain many problems in intellectual property protection, such as weak awareness of intellectual property protection, lack of intellectual property protection professional personnel, inadequate investment in R & D and low innovation level. These problems caused huge losses in practice to traditional Chinese medicine enterprises. After analyzing the status of intellectual property protection of traditional Chinese medicine enterprises, we put up with some concrete measures of intellectual property protection of traditional Chinese medicine considering the reality of these enterprises.

6.Anticonvulsant effect of ceftriaxone sodium in temporal lobe epilepsy
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2017;37(5):658-662
Objective To study the effects of ceftriaxone sodium(Cef) on the seizures and the expression of glutamate transporter (GLT-1) in kainic acid (KA) epilepsy model. Methods Firstly, a chronic spontaneous seizure mouse model was established by unilateral hippocampal injection of KA and monitored by vEEG technique to record seizures. The experimental group received intraperitoneal injection of Cef 200 mg/(kg·d) and the control group received normal saline.Seizure frequency, interictal spike waves and histological phenotypes were recorded to evaluate the function of Cef.Then we use the Western blot to detect the effect of expression for GLT-1.Results Unilateral hippocampal injection of KA 200 ng successfully established the mesial temporal lobe epilepsy model.Cef can reduce the seizures from 2.145 times/day to 1.597 times/day, decreased by 31.2% with a statistical significance(P<0.05).Cef treatment did not significantly enhance the expression of GLT-1.Conclusions Intraperitoneal injection of Cef partially inhibites the seizures of KA model, but the expression of GLT-1 in hippocampus is not enhanced. It is suggested that ceftriaxone may inhibit seizures through other mechanisms.
8.Effect of saliva contamination on shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets when using a self-etch primer.
Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2005;25(1):111-2
The effect of saliva contamination on the shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets, at various stages of the bonding procedure using a new self-etch primer was studied. The samples were divided into 4 groups according to 4 different enamel surface conditions: Group A: dry; Group B: saliva contamination before priming; Group C: saliva contamination after priming, and Group D: saliva contamination before and after priming. Stainless steel brackets were bonded in each test group with a light-cured composite resin (TransbondXT 3M). The shear bond strength was determined in the first 30 min after bonding. The analysis of variance indicated that the shear bond strengths of the 4 groups were significantly different (F = 11.89, P < 0.05). Tukey HSD tests indicated that contamination both before and after the application of the acid-etch primer resulted in a significantly lower (=4.6 +/- 1.7 MPa) shear bond strength than either the control group (=8. 8 +/- 1.9 MPa) or the groups where contamination occurred either before ( = 7.9 +/- 2.0 MPa) or after (= 6. 9 +/- 1.5 MPa) the application of the primer. It was concluded that the new acid-etch primer could maintain adequate shear bond strength if contamination occurred either before or after the application of the primer. On the other hand, contamination both before and after the application of the primer could significantly reduce the shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets.
