1.Multifetal pregnancy reduction (MFPR) after infertility treatment
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 1998;(1):27-33
From January 2001 to September 2001, MFPR were performed for 26 multifetal pregnancies after infertility treatment. Transvaginal selective embryo aspiration was performed at the ninth week of gestation, without KCl injected in the vicinity of the fetal heart. The mean number of viable embryos before and after reduction was 3.4 and 2.1. There were no complications recorded after the procedure such as vaginal bleeding, amniotic leakage and infection. The rate of miscarriage before 24 weeks was 7.1%. The mean gestation length and the mean birth weight were 36.22.8 weeks and 2360.0349.4g for the twins, respectively, and 30.67.6 weeks and 2066.7177.9 g for the triplets. Results from this study were comparable to the other studies worldwide. Preliminary data from this study showed that early transvaginal embryo aspiration without using KCl is a safe, effective method to improve obstetric outcome of multifetal pregnancies after infertility treatment.

3.Medicinal treatment of idiopathic male infertility.
National Journal of Andrology 2008;14(10):939-942
Exact etiological factors of male infertility is called idiopathic male infertility. Some breakthroughs have been made in the treatment of the problem since the development of ICSI in 1992. However, traditional treatment should also be taken into account for individual male infertility. Medication as a traditional treatment is still one of the important therapeutic methods. The basic understanding of male infertility, the characteristics of its drug therapy, clinically used common drugs, the therapeutic efficacy and effect evaluation are reviewed in this article.

National Journal of Andrology 2013;19(10):949-952
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are somatic stem cells capable of self-renewing and multipotent differentiation. They are also referred to as " seed cells" in tissue engineering. Recent years have witnessed great advances in the studies of the differentiative potential and paracrine function of MSCs, as well as in their clinical applications in several fields. As for their application in male infertility, researches are still in the stage of animal experiments. However, with deeper insights into their huge potential, novel and effective MSC-based therapies for male infertility will come into being in the near future.

To explore the medication rules of famous veteran traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in treating infertility based on medical cases of infertility collected from book series of Hundred Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinicians of Hundred Years in China and Prescription Proven by Traditional Chinese Medicine Masters. Researchers extracted the information of prescriptions from these cases according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then, Excel 2010, SPSS Clementine(ver.12.0) and SPSS(ver. 22.0) were adopted respectively for frequency analysis, association rules analysis, cluster analysis and factor analysis. Cluster analysis was carried out by Ochiai algorithm of binary variable data, which was a systematic clustering method. And principal component analysis was used for factor analysis. Besides, KMO test and Bartlett spherical test were used for factor adaptation test. Finally, 151 medical cases and 396 prescriptions were included in total. A total of 60 kinds of frequently used herbs were identified according to the results of frequency analysis for medication, they were mainly used for activating blood and resolving stasis, tonifying and clearing heat respectively. The association rules analysis found out 25 drug pair association rules and 14 3-drug combination association rules. A total of 15 medicine groups were extracted by cluster analysis. KMO test and Bartlett spherical test indicated that the method was suitable for factor analysis, and 21 common factors were respectively extracted by factor analysis. Association rules indicated the characteristics of the therapeutic methods, like tonifying Qi and replenishing blood. The famous veteran traditional Chinese medicine practitioners utilized modified Siwu Decoction for tonifying blood and preferred Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma(Baizhu) for tonifying Qi. The results of both cluster analysis and factor analysis demonstrated the characteristics of the therapies for tonifying kidney, activating blood, tonifying spleen and dispelling dampness. In addition, factor analysis could reflect the therapies for nourishing Yin, tonifying kidney, warming the meridian, dissipating cold, nourishing blood and dispelling blood stasis. These results of analysis comprehensively showed out the medication characteristics of famous veteran traditional Chinese medicine practitioners of strictly following the pathogenesis, making good use of classical formulas and providing proper compatibility. In conclusion, data mining techniques(including frequency analysis, association rules analysis, cluster analysis and factor analysis) were used to comprehensively analyze the medication rules of famous veteran traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in treating infertility, which is helpful for guiding the clinical practice of treating infertility with traditional Chinese medicine.

10.Professor 's treatment experience of acupuncture for anovulatory infertility.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2019;39(3):293-295
The clinical experience of professor for anovulatory infertility is introduced from three perspectives of , syndromes and menstrual period in this article. Professor believes that ovulation disorders mainly involves the liver, spleen and kidney, and four syndromes, including spleen-kidney -deficiency syndrome, liver-depression and kidney-deficiency syndrome, phlegm-dampness obstruction syndrome, -stagnation and blood-stasis syndrome are common in clinic. The combination of syndrome differentiation and menstruation differentiation should be adopted in treatment. The syndrome differentiation should be mainly applied. The acupoints for excess syndrome include Quchi (LI 11), Hegu (LI 4), Tianshu (ST 25), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and Neiting (ST 44); while the acupoints for deficiency syndrome include Zhongwan (CV 12), Taixi (KI 3), Ganshu (BL 18) and Qimen (LR 14). In auricular acupuncture, kou (CO), wei (CO), pi (CO), neifenmi (CO), sanjiao (CO), dachang (CO) and shenmen (TF) could be selected for excess syndrome, while wei (CO), pi (CO), neifenmi (CO), zigong (TF), pizhixia (AT), shen (CO) and luanchao could be selected for deficiency syndrome. Moxibustion can be added to treat the patients with deficiency syndrome or cold syndrome. The menstruation differentiation could be used as auxiliary method. In the later period of menstruation, strengthening-spleen and promoting-blood method is applied and Zhongwan (CV 12), Guanyuan (CV 4), Qihai (CV 6), Zigong (EX-CA 1), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and Zusanli (ST 36) are selected; in the intermenstrual period, tonifying-kidney and nourishing-, warming- and nourishing- method is applied and Shenshu (BL 23), Yaoyangguan (GV 3), Qihai (CV 6), Guanyuan (CV 4), Zhongji (CV 3), Zigong (EX-CA 1), Zusanli (ST 36), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and Hegu (LI 4) are selected; in the earlier period of menstruation, soothing-liver and tonifying-kidney, promoting- and relieving-depression method is applied and Taichong (LR 3), Qimen (LR 14), Luanchao (Extra), Zigong (EX-CA 1) and Xuehai (SP 10) are selected; during menstruation, Taixi (KI 3), Xuehai (SP 10) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) can be added to nourish kidney, nourish blood, promote blood circulation and regulate menstruation to promote oogenesis. In addition, B-ultrasonography can be used to monitor ovulation and guide intercourse to improve pregnancy rate.
