60 mm Hg (PP1 group) or 40 mm Hg≤PP≤60 mm Hg (PP2 group),1 mm Hg =0.133 kPa.Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring,the serum and urine ?_2-MG,urine mAlb,blood BUN and Cr were measured in both groups,the blood pressure,serum and urine ?_2-MG,urine mAlb,blood BUN and Cr were compared between two groups. Results Compared with PP2 group,the PP1 group showed higher levels of renal function indexes. Conclusion Renal damage is related with pulse pressure in senile essential hypertension.

Objective To explore the ill experience of patients with deep vein thrombosis (DVT),and supply reference for making corresponding intervention.Methods The qualitative phenomenological study method was adopted in this study.Self-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 patients with deep vein thrombosis and data were collected for analysis.Results After repeated refinement of the collected data,the early ill experience of deep vein thrombosis could be extracted as 4 topics.Conclusions According to the ill experience of patients with DVT,nurses can provide targeted intervention for such diseases to instruct clients to rehabilitate rapidly and improve the patients' quality of life.

To study the expression of the bFGF and its receptor in the mouse bone marrow by treatment with acute radioactive injury and Ligustrazine, 56 mice were divided into 3 groups: normal group, radiation-injured group and Ligustrazine group. After irradiation by 6.0 Gy 60Co gamma-ray, each mouse was orally given 0.1 ml Ligustrazine twice a day for 13 days in Ligustrazine group, and each mouse in radiation injured group was orally given equal amount of saline. On the 3rd, 7th, 14th day after irradiation, bone marrow mono-nuclear cells (BMMNC) were counted, and the expression levels of bPGF and bFGFR in bone marrow were evaluated by immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry analysis respectively. On the 3rd, 7th, 14th day after irradiation, expression of bFGF in bone marrow were significantly lower than in normal group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Expressions of bFGF and bFGFR were much higher in Ligustrazine treated group than that in the control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Ligustrazine potentiate the expression of bFGF and bFGFR in bone marrow MNC to recover the bone marrow hematopoiesis inductive microenvironment, which is one of the mechanisms by which Ligustrazine rebuild the bone marrow hematopoiesis after acute radioactive injury.

The transfection efficiency of oligonucleotide and plasmid to the HL-60 cell line with lipofectaminePLUS was compared through observing the transfection rate and the expression duration of exogenous gene in the target cells. The results showed that the transfection rate of oligonucleotide to the HL-60 was about 90% - 95% and it had no obvious attenuation within 84 h. However, the plasmid transfection rate was only 5% -25% and it was decreased significantly within 60 h. It was suggested that the transfection of oligonucleotide with liposomes was better than that of plasmid.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of atherosclerosis in elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension (ISH) combined with low diastolic blood pressure and risk factors related to low diastolic blood pressure (DBP).Methods A total of 447 elderly patients with untreated ISH were divided into the low DBP (DBP＜70 mmHg, 1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) group (n=206) and the non-low DBP (DBP＞ 70 mmHg) group (n=241) according the DBP level.Clinical data including brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV), carotid artery ultrasonography, blood lipids, blood glucose, plasma homocysteine were collected and determined.baPWV, carotid intimal-medial thickness (IMT) and the incidence of carotid plaques were compared between the two groups.Risk factors for low DBP were analyzed.Results There were no significant difference in systolic pressure levels between the low DBP group and the non-low DBP group [(160.8±10.1) mmHg vs.(161.1-±-10.9) mmHg, P＞0.05].Pulse pressure, baPWV levels, IMT and the incidence of carotid artery plaque were higher in the low DBP group than in the non-low DBP group [(98.4 ±11.7) vs.(77.4±12.0) mmHg, (1 785.3±175.0) vs.(1 436.5±114.4), (1.2±0.2) mm vs.(1.1±0.3)mm and 78.2％ (161/206) vs.67.2％ (162/241), each P＜0.05].Stepwise logistic analysis showed that age, gender (female) and diabetes were independent risk factors for low DBP (OR=1.62, 2.07, 1.38, all P＜0.05).Conclusions Atherosclerosis is more serious in elderly patents with ISH combined with low diastolic blood pressure than those without low DBP.Age, gender (female) and diabetes are independent risk factors for low DBP.

Objective To investigate the anti-fibrotic effects of curcumin in trinitrobenzene sulphonic acid (TNBS) induced intestinal fibrosis in rats and its mechanism. Methods Forty SD rats were randomly divided into model group, treatment group, control group and normal group with 10each. Except the normal group, the other three groups were given 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mg of TNBS enema on the 1st, 8 th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days,respectively. The rats in treatment group were intraperitonealy injected with 30 mg/kg of curcumin daily. Control group was injected with 0. 9%NaCl solution and normal group received an equal volume of 50% ethanol enema without any treatment. The damage and fibrosis of colon were detected with HE staining and Masson collagen staining, respectively. The contents of interleukin (IL) -2, tumor necrosis factor (TNF) -α, IL-4 and IL-17 in colon were measured by enzyme-link immunosorbent analysis (ELISA). The expressions of intestinal fibrosis related cytokines such as transforming growth factor (TGF) -β1, connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), Smad3, collagen Ⅰ and collagen Ⅲ mRNA were determined by FQ-PCR.Results The macroscopic and micrpscopic colonic damage scores and collagen area were significantly higher in model group (6.14 ± 1.07, 8. 42 ± 1.40 and 36. 59% ± 4.07%, respectively) and control group (6.17 ± 1.47, 8. 17 ±1.47 and 37.18 %±4.05 %, respectively) than those in normal group (2.13±0.64, 2.25±1.28 and 25.43%±5.39% ,respectively)(P＜0.05). Contents of IL2, TNF-α, IL-17, as well as expressions of intestinal fibrosis related cytokines including TGF-β1, CTGF,Smad3, collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ mRNA were also higher in model group [(378. 25±29. 90) ng/L,(87.11±23.85) ng/L, (47.80±5.62) ng/L, 4.71%±2.71%,10.33%±6.99%,9.35%±7.32%,1.52% ± 1.11% and 3.04% ±1.33%, respectively] and control group [(410. 06 ± 64.74) ng/L,(100.41±12.59) ng/L, (41.45±2. 12) ng/L, 4. 12%±3.01%,11.46%±4.72%,10. 11%±3.80%,1. 57% ± 1. 35% and 3. 03% ± 3. 53%, respectively] in comparision with normal group [(179.74±20. 73) ng/L, (35. 47±7. 13) ng/L, (14. 48±7. 52) ng/L and 0. 90%± 1. 13%,0.53%±0.47%, 0. 62%±0. 44%, 0. 16%±0. 09% and 0. 18%±0. 10%, respectively] (P＜0.05). While in treatment group, the macroscopic (4.00 ± 1.07 ) and micrpscopic (5. 13 ± 1.46)colonic damage scores, collagen area (30.01%±7.56%), contents of IL-2 [(223.91±28.04) ng/L],TNF-α [(44.19±4. 77) ng/L] and IL-17 [(14.89±4. 31) ng/L], expressions of TGF-β1 (0.85%±0.76%), CTGF (1.56%±1.13%), Smad3 (3.62%±3.03%), collagen Ⅰ (0.40%±0.31%) and Ⅲ (0.60 % ± 1.02 % ) mRNA were much lower than those in model group and control group (P＜0.05 ), but similar to those in normal group (P＞ 0.05 ). Conclusions Curcumin can inhibit intestinal fibrosis caused by excessive "wound-healing" reaction via reducing the overexpression of cytokines in colonic mucosa and attenuating the inflammation of colon.

Purpose To evaluate the correlation between neovascularization in femoral artery plaque and cerebral infarction by using contrast enhanced ultrasound,and to assess the predictive value of femoral artery plaque stability in cerebral infarction and its clinical significance.Materials and Methods Sixty-two patients with femoral artery hypoechoic plaques were retrospectively studied.The patients were divided into cerebral infarction group and control group,and all of them underwent two-dimensional ultrasound and contrast enhanced ultrasound.The parameters such as the maximum thickness,the stenosis rate of cross-sectional area,the enhanced intensity (EI),the area under the curve (AUC) and the grading of the neovascularization in the plaque were detected and compared.Results The EI and AUC of the cerebral infarction group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Many grade Ⅲ and Ⅳ neovascularizations were found in cerebral infarction group,while the grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ neovascularizations were mostly in the control group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in the maximum thickness and stenosis rate of cross-sectional area between the two groups (P＞0.05).The neovascularization grade,EI and AUC in the plaque were positively correlated with cerebral infarction (r=0.331,0.416 and 0.410,P＜0.05).Conclusion ① The chara-cteristics of femoral artery hypoechoic plaques in patients with cerebral infarction are rich of neovascularization and instable by using contrast-enhanced ultrasonic imaging.② The neovascularization of femoral artery hypoechoic plaque has positive correlation with cerebral infarction,which may provide a new method for clinical prediction and prevention of intracranial atherosclerosis.

Objective To report 2 cases of Fabry disease with early-onset ischemic stroke and investigate the clinical and image features. Methods The 2 patients developed dizziness, diplopia and progressive memory decline at 32 and 25 years of age respectively. The α-galactosidase A (GLA)activity was 4. 3 U in case 1 and 1. 0 U in case 2 ( normal range 100-500 U). Skin biopsy showed numerous membrane bounded osmiophilic laminar material in vascular smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells. GLA gene analysis revealed GLA exon 7 1033-1034 TC del in case 1 and GLA exon 3 466G ＞ A in case 2. The 2 patients were evaluated by Mainz severity score index (MSSI) and cranial MRI. Results The general MSSI was 32 in case 1 and 16 in case 2, with the highest score of neurological score ( 11 and 14). Both cases showed multifocal infarcts in bilateral cerebellum, occipital lobe, basal ganglia, which were hypointensity on T1 WI and hyperintensity on T2WI. There were hyperintensity changes in the pulvinar and basal ganglia on T1 WI in case 2. Conclusions Cerebral ischemic stroke could appear as initial symptoms in Fabry disease,which predominantly involved the posterior circulation. There might be no dilation of basal-vertebral artery.

To investigate the effects of Ligustrazine on histogenesis of bone marrow in the early phase of hematopoietic reconstruction in bone marrow transplantation (BMT) mice. The syngeneic BMT mice model was established. The syngeneic BMT mice were orally given 2 mg Ligustrazine twice a day. 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 21 day(s) after BMT, peripheral blood granulocytes and bone marrow nucleated cells (BMNC) were counted and the diameter of central vein and the area of micro-vessel in femur were measured. The effect of Ligustrazine on hematopoietic stem cells was observed by colony forming unit of spleen (CFU-S). The effect of Ligustrazine on hemopoietic progenitors was studied by observing the number of progenitors of Granulocytes/Macrophage on day 10 and day 20 after BMT. In Ligustrazine-treated group, the diameter of center veins and the area of micro-vessel of femur were all significantly less than the control group 7, 10, 15, 21 days after BMT (P < 0.01). In addition, Ligustrazine significantly increased the number of CFU-S on day 10 and the number of CFU-GM on day 10, 20 after BMT. These results indicate that Ligustrazine can accelerate the histogenesis of hemopoietic bone marrow, which may be one mechanism by which Ligustrazine promotes hematopoietic reconstitution after BMT.
