Objective To compare the efficacy of proximal femoral anti-rotation nail and artificial femoral head replacement with bone cement in the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture of femur in elderly patients.Methods70 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur were selected as the research subjects, and they were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group according to the digital table,35 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with proximal femoral anti-rotation nail, the control group was treated with artificial femoral head replacement with bone cement. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed and compared. Results The operation time, intraoperative bleeding volume of the observation group were (52.63±13.72)min,(115.26±35.17)mL,respectively,which were significantly better than those of the control group[(86.69±21.15)min,(328.72±47.62)mL,t=3.98,9.86,all P<0.05].The time of standing and walking after operation in the observation group were (12.36±3.61)d,(17.51±3.60)d,which were longer than those of the control group[(9.42±3.18)d,(15.18±3.55)d],but the differences were not statistically significant(t=1.36,1.08,all P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the Harris hip score 30 months after operation between the two groups(t=0.18,P>0.05),while the Harris hip score of the observation group after 6 and 12 months were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(t=9.04,3.75,all P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with artificial femoral head replacement with bone cement, proximal femoral anti-rotation nail for elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur has more significant effect,it is worthy of clinical promotion.

OBJECTIVE:To study the chemical constitutes of Ligusticum chuanxiong and to establish the method for the content determination of ligustilide. METHODS:The compounds were extracted and percolated by ethanol. Then the samples were separated using silica gel and identified by 1H-NMR,13C-NMR data.HPLC was used to assay the contents of ligustilide. RESULTS:Three compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as Z-ligustilide,Z-6,8',7,3'-diligustilide and Z,Z'-6,6',7,3'a-diligustilide. The contents of ligustilide were no less than 0.70%.CONCLUSION:The separation method can be used to prepare high-purity ligustilide reference substance. And the determination method can be used for quality control of L. chuanxiong.

Objective To construct cDNA library of the treated Changliver cell by switching mechanism at 5′ end of RNA transcript (SMART) technique and analyze its quality. Methods cDNA of Changliver cell was aquired with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and long-distance PCR (LD-PCR),then the cDNA library was constructed with SMART cDNA library construction kit. Results Through testing, the high quality cDNA library containing full length cDNA of Changliver cell had been constructed. The titer of the amplified cDNA library was 4.5 × 1010 pfu*ml-1 and the average exogenous inserts of the recombinants was 1.5 kb.Conclusion These results suggest that the Changliver cell cDNA library has a high quality and lays a solid foundation for researching on Changliver cell and screening

Human height, a complex trait with over 80% heritability, is determined by genetic and environment factors. Currently, a certain amount of specific variants about human height have been found, especially with the widely used of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in genetics research, making it a great progress for the discovering of height associated genes. However, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) found by GWAS can only explain a minority of the heritable. This article reviews the progress of GWAS about height associated genes and missing heritability domestic and overseas.

The classical prescriptions in Typhoid Miscellaneous Disease can be used to alleviate the common hung cancer symptoms and complications like fever, cough, pain and pleural effusion effectively. The preoperative medication can improve lung cancer patients’ surgical tolerance, and postoperative medication can facilitate patients’ postoperative rehabilitation. And if combined with chemotherapy, they cound reduce toxicity and enhance efficiency, enhance the patients’ immunity and improve their life quality. Research shows that classical prescriptions can improve the immunity of lung cancer model mice, facilitate apoptosis of tumor cell and control its migration. This paper sumed up the clinical and experimental research of lung cancer treatment with classical prescriptions in recent 5 years.

OBJECTIVE: To study the general law of typing of bronchiectasis according to syndrome differentiation. METHODS: We collected the symptoms, conditions of tongue and pulse in patients of bronchiectasis, using frequencies procedure, discriminant analysis and K-means cluster analysis in SPSS statistical software as research medium. RESULTS: Five hundred and sixty three patients with bronchiectasis were studied. It suggested that accumulation of phlegm-heat in the lungs (45.65%), liver fire attacking the lungs (24.51%), asthenia of pulmonosplenic qi (22.38%), asthenia of both qi and yin (7.46%) were the main types. CONCLUSION: Clinical epidemiology provided scientific basis for further studying of the typing of bronchiectasis according to syndrome differentiation. Building up differentiation of syndromes through differentiation and analysis of main symptoms can be used in clinical diagnosis.

The paper was aimed to review the modeling methods of spleen-yang deficiency, which can be classified into imitating traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) etiology methods and modern medicine methods. At present, methods of modeling were not generally accepted and the main presented problems were as follows. Modern medicine methods did not conformed to the rules of TCM etiology and pathogenesis. The evaluation of yang deficiency models was not accurate. Some modeling methods can lead to other diseases at the same time. The names of spleen deficiency model were not unified. It was difficult to distinguish the modeling methods of spleen-yang deficiency and spleen-qi deficiency, and etc. Model evaluation of spleen-yang deficiency was various. However, the domestic standard evaluation system had not been formed. The main model evaluation problems were as follows. Macro symptoms of the model lacked of objective and quantitative evaluation. It lacked of evaluation indexes of pulse and tongue with TCM characteristics. The disproof of prescription selection was not unified. Similar syndromes had not been ruled out. The microscopic indexes were fragmented, and etc. This paper reviewed on animal modeling methods of spleen-yang deficiency.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1999;0(09):-
AIM: human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) is the catalytic subunit of telomerase, and hTERT mRNA expression contributes to telomerase activity. We therefore assessed the significance of hTERT expression in the biological behavior of giant cell tumor(GCT) of bone. METHODS: In situ hybridization was used to identify the expression of hTERT mRNA in 27 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded clinical specimens from human GCT. RESULTS: 8 cases (8/27)displayed positive hTERT mRNA signal, positive hTERT mRNA signal located in the cytoplasms of mononuclear stromal cells and some multinuclear giant cells. CONCLUSION: The expression of telomerase in paraffin-embedded tissue can be evaluated efficiently and effectively by in situ hybridization, and the results suggest that there may be a neoplastic multinuclear giant cell type in human GCT.
