1.Determination of Two Constituents in Compound Streptomycin Cream
China Pharmacy 2001;0(12):-
OBJECTIVE:To determine streptomycin sulfate and sulfonamide in compound streptomycin cream by UV spectrophotometry.METHODS:The maltol-ammonium ferric sulfate colourimetry was adopted in which the ammonium ferric sulfate was taken as the developer, the absorbability of streptomycin sulfate was determined with the wavelength at521nm;The absorbability of sulfonamide was determined at a wavelength of251nm with0.1%mol/L NaOH taken as the sol-vent.RESULTS:The linear ranges of streptomycin sulfate and sulfonamide were200~950?g/ml(r=0.9994)and1.464~7.784?g/ml(r=0.9998)respectively;Their respective average recovery were99.1%(RSD=1.90%)and99.7%(RSD=1.60%).CONCLUSION:The method can be used as the quality control for compound streptomycin cream.
2.Management strategies for effective organization of research in translational medicine in China
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2011;24(3):151-153,159
As a new cross disciplinary study, translational medicine is expected to promote modern biomedical research to a new stage. In recent years, establishment of research structure of translational medicine has been completed or initiated in some areas where medicine is comparatively well developed, though this conduct is still at an exploratory stage. Referencing abroad experience,This paper discusses the innovative mechanisms and strategies for organization of traslational medicine with referrence to foreign expericences.

Objective To compare the effects of honey dressing and silver sulfadiazine dressing for wound healing in burn patients by Meta-analysis.Methods All the randomized controlled trials were collected by searching many kinds of databases in or out of the country to compare honey dressing with silver sulfadiazine dressing for wound healing in burn patients.Review Manager 5.2 was used to analyze the effects. Results Six randomized controlled trials (RCT) were included.Honey dressing was much better than silver sulfadiazine dressing for burn wounds, while there were no significant differences in positive rate of wound swab culture and healing days. Conclusions It can be proved that honey dressing has an advantage over silver sulfadiazine dressing in the wound healing days within 21 and final outcome.Whether honey dressing is superior to silver sulfadiazine dressing in antibacterial effects and healing days remains to be studied with adequate, powerful, high quality randomized controlled trials.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs) are rare tumors with malignant potential. The pNENs could be classified into functional or nonfunctional according to associated clinical symptoms.Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is helpful for preoperative diagnosis of nonfunctional pNENs.The clinical data of 22 patients with nonfunctional pNENs who were admitted to the Chinese PLA General Hospital from March 2010 to February 2014 were analyzed retrospectively.Nonfunctional pNENs were characterized by moderate to marked, consistent or progressive enhancement with capsule-like enhancement on dynamic contrast MRI,which is very important for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pNENs.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 1994;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the MR manifestations and diagnostic value in patients with choroidal fissure cyst of the brain. Methods Characteristic MR findings in 16 patients with choroidal fissure cyst were retrospectively analyzed, and the correlation between MR imaging and clinical manifestations was reviewed. Results The cysts were situated within the choroidal fissure in all cases, representing as cystic lesion with clear border, no detectable soft tissue mass in the cyst wall or adjacent area, homogenous signal intensity identical to CSF on all sequences, with the average size of 0.9 cm?1.3 cm?1.5 cm, and no associated edema. Gd-DTPA was performed in 6 cases and revealed no evidence of enhancement. Conclusion The choroidal fissure cyst of the brain is a benign and congenital developmental abnormality, and has minor clinical significance. Because of its specific anatomic location, the choroidal fissure cysts simulate intraparenchymal cystic lesions on axial images. Coronal and sagittal MR imaging can be used to delineate its extraaxial location and make the correct diagnosis, and, thus, differentiate with other cystic lesions.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2010;45(3):347-52
An HPLC-UV method has been developed for the determination of valibose, miglitol, voglibose and acarbose, the four anti-diabetic drugs. The separation was accomplished successfully by using reversed phase chromatography (Prevail carbohydrate column, 250 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 microm) with a gradient acetonitrile-phosphate buffer solution (pH 8.0) at a wavelength of 210 nm. Furthermore, the method of a high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with ESI-MS in positive ionization mode has been established. These two methods were successfully applied to the assay and qualitative detection of four alpha-glucosidase inhibitors in the potential counterfeit anti-diabetic drugs.

Objective To investigate the expressions of TK1 (thymidine kinase 1) in PHC (primary hepatic carcinoma). Methods TK1 and AFP in serum of 33 cases of PHC (primary hepatic carcinoma), 38 cases of hepatic cirrhosis,36 cases of hepatitis and 35 cases of healthy people were detected by means of Western blot—enhanced chemiluminecence and electrochemiluminescence. Results The difference of TK1 level in PHC group indicated significance when compared with that in hepatic cirrhosis group , hepatitis group and control group (U value was 436.4, 352.1, 163.6, respectively, all P < 0.01). TK1 level in patients with PHC was related with differentiation (χ2 = 7.476,P < 0.05) and TNM stage (χ2 = 7.227,P < 0.05),but not with sex, age, tumor diameter, number of tumors, vascular invasion, lymph node metastasis (P > 0.05). Kaplan-Meier curve analysis revealed that PHC patients with TK1≤ 2.0 pmol/L had a significantly shortened overall survival when compared with those with TK1 > 2.0 pmol/L (χ2 = 3.954,P < 0.05). Multivariable Cox regression analysis indicated that the level of TK1 and TNM stage were the independent risk factors for patients with PHC (all P <0.05). Conclusions The detection of TK1 has a certain clinical value in the diagnosis, monitoring and evaluation of the prognosis of the PHC.
