1.AN ANALYSIS OF REMOTE RESULTS AFTER DIFFERENT OPERATIONS FOR 134 CASES OF LARYNGEAL CARCINOMA
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
From March 1977 to March 1984, 134 cases of carcinoma of the larynx were treated with different operations. Partial laryngectomy was done in 104 cases, and total laryngectomy in 30 cases. The five-year survival rates of the partial and the total laryngectomy were 72.3% and 55.6% respectively. Laryngeal functions (phonation and protective) were completely restored in all the patients of the partial laryngectomy group. In 79 of the 104 patients (76%) tracheostomy tube was removed, and the respiration function was completely restored. Therefore, it seems that the main advantage of partial laryngectomy is partial or complete restoration of the laryngeal functions after the operation.
2.T-SHAPED SUBTOTAL LARYNGECTOMY ACCOMPANIED BY RECONSTRUCTION WITH MYOCUTANEOUS FLAP FOR RESTORATION OF LARYNGEAL FUNCTIONS:REPORT OF 13 CASES
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(06):-
Thirteen cases of supraglottic cancer extending to various contiguous parts of the glottic region treated with horizontal laterovertical or horizontal anterovertical subtotal laryngectomy and repaired by the use of cervical myocutaneous flap are reported. All 13 patients were living and well up to the date of reporting, among whom. 11 cases had the laryngeal functions (phonation. deglutition and respiration) completely restored following the extraction of the tracheostomic tube while 2 cases had partially restored (phonation and deglutition) with the tracheostomy tube retained. The advantages of the cervical myocutaneous flap for reconstruction of post-operative laryngeal defects were discussed. Its use seems to have widened the indication for subtotal laryngectomy.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the treatment of senile chronic superficial gastritis with the treatment of the elderly patients. Methods Collected in our hospital diagnosed by endoscopy in 80 elderly patients with chronic superficial gastritis were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, 40 cases in each group, the control group using ranitidine therapy, treatment group with teprenone treatment, evaluation of 2 groups of drugs on chronic superficial gastritis and therapeutic effect safety. Results The total effective rate of treatment group was 92.5%, control group total effective rate was 75%;the treatment of two patients with total efficiency, the total effective rate in treatment group was significantly higher than the control group(x2=4.50, P<0.05);the average time for improvement of symptoms in the treatment group was(8.32 ±2.06)days, the average time to improve the symptoms of the control group(11.69 ± 2.12)days, there was significant difference between the two groups(t=7.21, P<0.05), the treatment group the incidence of adverse reaction was 5%, the control group adverse reaction rate was 10%, the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(x2=0.18, P>0.05).Conclusion It is safe and effective for the treatment of chronic superficial gastritis in elderly patients.

OBJECTIVETo develop a method for elucidating " chromatography-efficacy" relation of the extract of Zanthoxylum nitidum on the gastric cancer cells.
METHODAfter obtaining the tumor inhibition rate and fingerprint peak data through MTT and HPLC, "chromatography-efficacy" relation was established by an appropriate statistical method.
RESULTThe gastric cancer "chromatography-efficacy" relation of Z. nitidum was established by step-back technique.
CONCLUSIONThe "chromatography-efficacy" relation has statistically significant and practical significance, so it has reference value in some way.
