Primary liver cancer is a common malignant tumor in the digestive system. Most patients are in the advanced stage when a con-firmed diagnosis has been made, and prognosis is often unfavorable.Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)has unique advantages in the pre-vention and treatment of primary liver cancer. This article briefly introduces the etiology and pathogenesis of primary liver cancer,as well as syndrome differentiation and treatment of liver cancer with TCM,and summarizes the advances in multimodality therapies including TCM combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization, radical surgery for liver cancer, chemoradiotherapy, and molecular-targeted thera-py,in order to provide a reference for the clinical treatment and improvement in the prognosis of primary liver cancer.

AIM:To investigate the correlation between cerebral glucose metabolism and paediatric epilepsy or seizure type and seizure frequency.METHODS:To observe the cerebral glucose metabolism in epileptogenic focus,18F-FDG positron emission computed tomography(PET) brain imaging tests were carried out in 86 cases of paediatric epilepsy diagnosed by EEG and MRI.RESULTS:Compared to control group, significantly statistical differences between children epilepsy group and control group in PET brain imaging were observed(P0.05) was observed.CONCLUSION:Cerebral glucose metabolism of paediatric epilepsy is abnormal. The abnormal PET with varieties of epilepsy is found in different brain district. There is positive correlation between the abnormal intensity of PET imaging and the severity or seizure frequency of epilepsy.

Dynamic ~(13)N-NH_3 positron emission tomography (PET) imaging was performed in 8 normal subjects and 6 cases of hypopituitarism. The pituitary images were small and delayed, and blood perfusion and radioactive uptake were decreased in hypopituitarism. ~(13)N-NH_3 PET imaging shows diagnostic value in hypopituitarism.

Cancer therapy with accelerated proton or heavy ion beam is the most advanced radiotherapy technology, which is recognized by the international community at present. It is of great practical significance to study the medical proton and heavy ion accelerators and the radiotherapy technology, in order to promote the development of the advanced medical radiotherapy equipments and improve the quality of life of cancer patients in China. After a brief overview of cancer therapy with proton and heavy ion beam, this paper summarized and analyzed the application status of medical proton accelerators and medical heavy ion accelerators at home and abroad, and finally put forward the future development trends of medical proton and heavy ion accelerators and the radiotherapy technology, it can provide a reference for the progress and development strategies of the advanced radiotherapy equipments in China.
