Objective To impove the cognition of allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis by analyzing its clinical characteristics. Methods 22 patients diagnosed as having allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis in our hospital were studied in their clinical characteristics, imaging findings, laboratory inspections, pathologies, therapies and follow-up results. Results (1)The patients consisted of 13males and 9 femailes.Asthma was present in 16 patients, and absent in 6 cases, some of which had no wheezing heard in lung auscultation.(2)Central bronchiectasis was present in 19 cases, with the upper lobe bronchial mainly involved.(3)Simple glucocorticoid therapy was used in 2 cases, the joint anti-fungal therapy in 19 cases(one case improved combined with itraconazole therapy after recurrence and one case improved with the joint itraconazole treatment, followed by recurrence of the symptoms after discontinued antifungal therapy and by the combination therapy again). Conclusion Clinical asthma is the most common symptom of ABPA.However, there are one-third of cases without history of asthma.Central bronchiectasis with formation of mucus suppository is a characteristic feature of ABPA which can prompt diagnosis and help in the prognosis. The combination of antifungal treatment can lead to improvement and reduce or eliminate the need of glucocorticoid therapy.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
Type 2 diabetic patients were divided to 3 groups according to their urinary albumin excretion rate: simple diabetic group (n=30), early diabetic nephropathy group (n=24) and clinical diabetic nephropathy (n=20). Endothelium-dependent dilation function of brachial artery was measured by high resolving power colour Doppler echography and circulating endothelial cells in blood were counted. The results showed that endothelium-dependent dilation function of brachial artery in 3 groups declined progressively in the order of simple diabetic group, early diabetic nephropathy group and clinical diabetic nephropathy group, suggesting that this measurement may serve as one parameter reflecting the status of vascular endothelial function and the extent of vascular lesion.

Schaudinn solution was used to fix the Blastocystis hominis specimen and an improved Harris hematoxylin staining was applied to stain it.The method shows clearer internal structure of the parasite, simpler and less timeconsuming than the traditional iron hematoxylin solution.

Objective To observe the effect of preoperative stellate ganglion block (SGB)on gastrointestinal function in rats undergoing gastrointestinal and non-gastrointestinal abdominal surgery. Methods Fifty-four male SD rats, weighing (200 ± 10 )g,were randomly divided into 5 groups:control group (n =6,group C),gastrointesinal abdominal surgery group (n =12,group G), SGB+gastrointesinal abdominal surgery group (n = 12,group SG),non-gastrointestinal abdominal surgery group (n = 12,group NG),SGB+ non-gastrointestinal abdominal surgery group (n = 12, group SNG).Group C was given no treatment.Venous blood samples were taken for determination of the levels of serum NE,TNF-αand IL-6 at the time before stellate ganglion block (T1 ),the end of operation (T2 ),12 h (T3 )and 24 h after operation (T4 ).Six rats were randomly chosen from each group to test bowel propulsion rate at T3 and T4 ,then sacrificed to measure motilin (MTL)and vaso-active intestinal peptide (VIP)in antrum and proximal colon. Results Compared with T1 and group C,the serum concentrations of NE,TNF-αand IL-6 significantly increased at T2-T4 in groups G,SG, NG and SNG (P <0.05).The NE,TNF-α and IL-6 levels in group G were significantly higher than those in group SG (P <0.05),and the serum NE,TNF-αand IL-6 levels in group NG were signifi-cantly higher than those in group SNG (P <0.05).Compared with T3 and group C,the bowel pro-pulsion rate and MTL levels significantly increased at T4 in groups G,SG,NG and SNG (P <0.05). The bowel propulsion rate and MTL levels in group SG and group SNG were significantly higher than those in group G and group NG,respectively (P <0.05 ).The VIP levels significantly decreased in groups G,SG,NG and SNG than that in group C (P <0.05).The VIP levels in group SG were sig-nificantly lower than those in group G (P < 0.05 ), and the VIP levels in group SNG were significantly lower than those in group NG (P < 0.05 ).Conclusion Preoperative stellate ganglion block can premote the recovery of gastrointestinal function in rats after abdominal surgery, attenuated stress response and inflammatory reaction, and regulation of gastrointestinal hormone level may be involved in the mechanism.

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2013;(6):488-491
Objective To investigate the impact of overweight and obesity on left atrial (LA) function in healthy subjects with excess body weight. Methods Conventional echocardiography and tissue Doppler imaging were performed in 30 obese subjects (BMI≥28 kg/m2),30 overweight subjects (BMI,24to 28 kg/m2) and 30 age-matched normal subjects (BMI<24kg/m2).Strain (S),peak systolic strain rate (SSR),peak early diastolic strain rate (ESR) and peak late diastolic strain rate (ASR) values were used to evaluating LA function. Results Compared with controls, mean S,SSR and ESR were decreased in obese subjects, while mean SSR,ESR and ASR were decreased in overweight subjects.Compared with overweight subjects, mean ESR was decreased in obese subjects. Conclusions An impaired LA function is found in overweight and obese subjects who has no other clinically appreciable cause of heart disease by using strain and SR imaging.

Objective To establish the preparation techniques for preparing the reference substance of platycodin-D.Methods Raw material of platycodi radix was extracted with 70 %MeOH.The concentrated extract passed through D101 macroporous resin column, then the 40 %alcohol eluate was separated by silica gel column chromatography with chloroform-methanol gradient elution. The fractions contained platycodin-D were collected and purified by HPLC.Results HPLC analysis and normalization of peak areas showed the purity of the platycodin-D was 98.8 %.Conclusions The preparation techniques are simple and high yield, can be used for preparing the reference substance of platycodin-D.

Objective To study renal involvement in hepatic glycogen storage disease(GSD) in childhood. Methods One hundred and eight patients aged less than 21 years old with type Ⅰa GSD (54 cases), type Ⅲ (29 cases) and uncertain type hepatic GSD (25 cases). Urine analysis, urine albumin, urine protein of 24 h, urine ?_2-MG, BUN, creatinine, Ccr were evaluated. Results Of 108 patients with hepatic GSD, 16 patients (20.8%) had proteinuria proven by urine albumin or urine protein of 24 h, their ages first found proteinuria were 8~15 years. Two 15-year-old patients had proteinuria over 1.0g/24h. Among 72 patients, urine ?_2-MG of 51 cases (70.8%) increased (175~10 623mg/L), and the mean urine ?_2-MG of type Ⅰ a GSD was much higher than that of type Ⅲ GSD, 4138.2 and 1790.1mg/L respectively. Of 91 patients, 10 had renal insufficiency, 1/10 (15-year-old girl) had heavy proteinuria (3.5g/24h), elevated BUN (9.3mmol/L) and Scr(1061 ?mol/L). Five elder patients (11~21 years old) had hematuria with renal colic caused by renal calculus. Conclusions Persistent protenuria, increased urine ?_2-MG, decreased Ccr, and renal stones are common complications of hepatic GSD in childhood. Renal function should be thoroughly evaluated during follow-up.
