1.Roles of anti-angiogenic therapy combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of malignant tumors
Cancer Research and Clinic 2011;23(6):430-432
The growth and metastasis of tumor relies on oxygen and nutrients provided by neonatal blood vessel. When no angiogenesis, the tumor growth will be obviously inhibited. At present, anti-tumor angiogenesis strategies are increasingly becoming a focus of attention and study at home and abroad. However, because of the complexity of the antiangiogenesis, the clinical effects of antiangiogenesis alone is not so satisfied, while this is reversed when combined with radiotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2013;36(31):33-35
Objective To investigate the risk factors and prognosis of pneumonia in elderly patients of cerebral stroke sequelae period. Methods Eighty-eight cases of pneumonia in elderly patients with cerebral stroke sequelae period were selected as stroke group, with non-stroke patients of the same period suffering from pneumonia 1 ∶ 1 matched as control group. The risk factors and prognosis of pneumonia in elderly patients of cerebral stroke sequelae period were analyzed. Results Pneumonia in stroke group was related with hypertension, diabetes, conscious disturbance, bucking or nasogastric feeding, dyscinesia, incision of trachea, multiple organ disfunction syndrome (MODS),hospitalizations, hospital stay and abandon treatment or death (P < 0.05),and not related with smoking, coronary heart disease, kindey dysfunction, malignant tumor, phlegm bacterial culture, hypoxemia and mechanical ventilation was tested by conditioned Logistic regression quantitatively(P> 0.05).The independent risk factors for pneumonia in elderly patients of cerebral stroke sequelae period were bucking or nasogastric feeding, and MODS by two-way unconditional Logistic regression. Conclusions Hypertension, diabetes, conscious disturbance, bucking or nasogastric feeding, dyscinesia, incision of trachea,MODS,hospitalizations are risk factors for pneumonia in elderly patients of cerebral stroke sequelae period, and lead to relatively poor prognosis.Three-grade prevention and control of risk factors can improve prognosis.
5.Application of RNA interference in xenografted tumor of nude mice in vivo
Cancer Research and Clinic 2009;21(12):862-864
RNA interference (RNAi) is a post-transcriptional suppression method of introduction of double-stranded RNA molecules by artificially induced. Recently RNAi has been widely used in xenografted tumors of nude mice in vivo. In order to inhibit the growth of tumor, some genes related with tumor such as anti -apoptosis gene, proliferation promoting gene, metastasis-associated gene are depressed via RNAi. Additionally, in the nude mice test, RNAi is utilized as assisting methed of radiotherapy and chemotherapy of human tumors.
6.Nemo-like kinase reduces neuronal apoptosis in inflammatory diseases of central nervous system
Chinese Journal of Neurology 2010;43(12):878-882
Objective The effects of nemo-like kinase(NLK)in inflammation of central nervous system were explored. Methods An animal model with central nervous system inflammation disease induced by intracerebroventricular infusion of lipopolysaccharide was constructed. A model of neuronal apoptosis induced by glutamate in PC12 cells was constructed. A pcdna 3.1-NLK over-expression plasmid and a pSilencer 4. 1-CMV-NLK small interfering plasmid were also constructed. The expression and location of NLK were detected using western blot analysis, double immunofluorescent staining, and cell counting kit-8 assay. Results The protein level of NLK was reduced after induction of inflammation in the brain(t =2. 718-3. 106, all P <0. 01), and NLK was only expressed in both cortical and hippocampal neurons. At the cellular level, NLK expression was gradually reduced along with neuronal apoptosis induced by glutamate in PC12(t =4. 032, P <0. 01). Over-expression of NLK would reduce the apoptosis of neurons induced by glutamate(t =3. 930, P < 0. 01). Conversely, interfering the expression of NLK would enhance neuronal apoptosis(t = 2. 845, P < 0. 01). Conclusion NLK can protect neurons by inhibiting apoptosis in the process of central nervous system inflammation.
7.Clinical analysis of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis complicated by serum hypoproteinemia in 30 patients
Clinical Medicine of China 2010;26(11):1183-1185
Objective To test the serum albumin level in patients having the peritoneal dialysis, and investigate its relationship with C-reactive protein(CRP)level or other inflammatory complications. Methods Sixty patients having peritoneal dialysis treatment were divided into two groups based on the serum albumin(ALB)level, patients had normal ALB level were included into group A,while the patients with serum hypoproteinemia were included into group B. The serum level of CRP,transferin(TF)and nutritional status were compared between two groups, and their relationship with clinical complications were evaluated. Results The serum CRP level in patients of group B(8.40 ± 1.32)mg/L was significantly higher than group A(2. 14 ±0.87)mg/L(P <0. 01). Patients from group B had more inflammation complications, such as peritonitis(6. 7%),pneumonia(13. 3%),cardiovascular disease(16.7%). Conclusions The continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients accompanied with hypoproteinemia are more likely to have inflammation complications and cardiovascular diseases, which should cause more attention on their malnutrition-inflammation- CVD(MIA)syndrome diagnosis and treatment.
