Objective To detect Ureaplasma urealyticum (Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis (Mh) in urogenital tract of healthy elementary and high school students, and to determine the biovars and serotypes of Uu isolates. Methods Urine specimens were collected from 957 healthy school children, including 404 elementary school students,260 junior high school students and 293 senior high school students, and submitted for Uu and Mh culture in selective liquid medium.Thc specimens positive for Uu and (or) Mh culture were subsequently subjected to PCR.The biovars and serotypes of Uu were determined. Results Uu was detected in 4.81% (46/957) of the school children.Among the 46 Uu positive specimens,32 (69.57%) harbored Ureaplasma Parvum (biovar 1 ),14 (30.43%) Ureaplasma urealytieum (biovar 2); 12 (2.97%) were from elementary school students, including 9(75.00%) cases of Ureaplasma Parvum and 3(25.00%) Ureaplasma urealytieum,8(3.08%) were from junior high school students, including 5 cases of Ureaplasma Parvum and 3 Ureaplasma urealytieum,26 (8.87%) were from senior high school students, including 18 (69.23%) cases of Ureaplasma Parvum and 8 (30.77%)Ureaplasma urealytieum.Mh was positive in 9 (0.94%) school students, including 1 elementary school student,1 junior school student and 7 senior high school students. The detection rate of Uu was significantly higher in females than in males in all the 3 groups (elementary school, junior and senior high school) of students. Conclusions Mh and Uu are commensals in urogenital tract of elementary and high school students without symptoms.Ureaplasma Parvum is the predominant biovar in this population, though Ureaplasma urealytieum accounts for a significant proportion, which implies that Uu is commensal in healthy elementary and high school students, and females are more liable to be colonized than males.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2010;26(6):465-467
Objective To investigate the levels of mieropartieles originated from platelet (PMP),endothelium (EMP),and tissue factor-bearing microparticles (TF+ MP) in diabetes mellitus and to analyze its relationship with diabetic angiopathy. Methods PMP,EMP or TF+ MP were measured in 106 cases of diabetes mellitus and 50 controls by flow eytometry. The differences of EMP between groups of diabetic macrovascular disease and diabetic microvascular disease were determined. Results The levels of EMP in diabetic patients were higher than that in the control(164.20±128.88 vs 63.81±40.84,P<0.05).Diabetic cases with complication showed higher expression level of EMP than those without complications(184.12±152.77,188.21±149.55 vs 138.53±99.87,both P<0.05).However,no distinct increase was observed in PMP and TF+ MP level in diabetes groups compared with control group. Conclusions Endothelial dysfunction, may contribute to the increased level of EMP in patients with diabetes, especially those complicated with vascular diseases.EMP level may be used to evaluate the status of endothelial function and the development of diabetic angiopathy.

Objective To provide reference for clinical pharmacists participating in pharmacotherapy of low molecular weight heparin calium-induced thrombocytopenia. Methods Clinical pharmacists carried out pharmaceutical care for a patient with chronic cor pulmonale with acute exacerbation of chronic asthmatic bronchitis in the use of low molecular weight heparin calium, who developed progressive thrombocytopenia, and helped clinicians to manage adverse reaction and select subsequent treatment drug. Results The suggestions were adopted by clinicians. The platelets of patients gradually recovercd without thrombosis events.Condusion Participation of clinical pharmacists in the treatment of low molecular weight heparin calium induced-thrombocytopenia can effectively improve the prognosis of patients and ensure the safety in drug use.

Objective To establish a method of primary culture of human preadipocyte in a serum-free medium. Methods Collangenase digestion was used to dispart preadipocyte. The cells were identified by microscopy stained by oil red O and determination of the activity of Glycerol-3-phosphate dehydronase(G-3-PDH). Results The primary cultured human preadipocyte proliferated in the aserum-free medium successfully. In the differential serum-free medium the cells turned to be round on the 4 th day.The adipose drops began to cumulate in the cells, and to the most quantity until the 21 st day. Conclusion The human preadipocyte can be primarily cultured and induced to differentiate in serum-free medium, which is the base for researching the effects of hormones and factors to the proliferation and differentiation of preadipocyte.

Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(08):-
Langerhans cell histiocytosis is an uncommon disease, involvement of the thyroid by langerhans cell histiocytosis is rare. Two cases of Langerhans cell histiocytosis of the thyroid confirmed by pathology were reported in this paper. The main clinical feature was enlargement of the thyroids. One patient had hypothyroidism. Meanwhile, the lungs and pituitaries of the two patients were affected. Langerhans cell histiocytosis of the thyroid had no typical symptoms and specific laboratory examination, and might be clinically diagnosed as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, benign or malignant thyroid tumors. Thyroid fine needle aspiration cytology might be useful in confirming the diagnosis. The effective treatments include systemic chemotherapy, local radiation therapy and surgical excision. The chemotherapy is still the major technological approach. Most patients can relieve partially after receiving the systemic chemotherapy.

AIM: To investigate the differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) into chondrocytes in vitro and determine factors involving in the differentiation process. METHODS: MSC were separated from iliac bone marrow with lymphocyte separating medium using density centrifugation. Cells were cultured and expanded in medium until reaching required number. MSC was induced to differentiate into chondrocytes by adopting high cell density, supplying growth factor and using micromass culture. Cells were observed by HE staining. Matrix of cartilage was detected by alcian blue and toludine blue and cartilage specific collagen II was detected by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: The structure of the micromass assumed that of cellular cartilage, alcian blue staining were uniformly positive and toludine blue detected diffuse metachromasia substance, cells uniformly expressed collagen Ⅱ. CONCLUSION: High cell density, growth factor and appropriate culture conditions are critical to induce differentiation of MSC into chondrocytes. [
