Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2003;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the roles of the cytokine and chemokine in protective immunity of tuberculosis(TB) patient. Methods The RANTES( CCL5) and MIP1-?( CCL3) content of the Supernatant from PBMC stimulated with IL-4、TNF-?、MIP1-?and LPS in TB patients and normal control subjects was assessed using commercially available ELISA kit. Results The RANTES secretion was increased significantly in both TNF-?plus LPS groups[ (1 731. 86?925. 60) ng/L ] and IFN-?plus LPS [(2 120.78?1 120.72)ng/L] compared with LPS group[ (1 102. 56?873. 44) ng/L] in TB patients (P 0. 05). The MIP1-?secretion in response to IL-4、TNF-?、IFN-?was unchanged significantly in PBMC of TB patients and normal subjects. Conclusion TNF-?、IFN-?and RANTES may play important roles in protective immunity of TB patient

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2001;0(08):-
Objective To evaluate the feasibility, safety, and outcome of hepatectomy by hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery (Lapdisc system) in patients with hepatic hemangioma. Methods Eight patients with hepatic hemangioma underwent hand-assisted laparoscopic hepatectomy. Procedures included introduction of Lapdisc system, isolation of the liver from the ligments, occlusion of the hepatic porta, dissection of the hepatic parenchyma by harmonic scaple and removal of the samples. ResultsIn all patients, the hand-assisted laparoscopic hepatectomy were successfully performed. The operation time was(196.3?81.2)min. Blood loss was (307.5?224.7)ml, and postoperative hospital stay was (7.9?2.9)d. There was no significant postoperative complication such as bile leakage, bleeding or infection. ConclusionsLapdisc system could be safely used for hepatectomy in cases of hepatic hemangioma.

Objective To document and analyze thepeak force and work during isokinetic pedaling at different linear speeds and the flexion-extension peak force ratio. Methods Thirty healthy adults were tested using the Legpress system of the IsoMED 2000 apparatus.Peak force, work and the flexion-extension peak force ratio were recorded and analyzed during isokinetic pedalingat 5 and 50 cm/s.Results The peak force applied and work done by the lower limbs were both significantly lowerwhen pedaling at 50 cm/s than at 5 cm/s.There was no significant difference in peak force or work between the left and right legs at 50 cm/s.The peak force ratio at 50 cm/s was significantly higher than at 5 cm/s.Conclusion The mechanical characteristics of the leg muscles during isokinetic pedaling vary greatly. It is advisable to choose different linear speeds or training modes accordingly.

Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1995;0(02):-
Objective: To study the effect of angiogenesis inhibitor TNP-470 combination with 5-FU on liver metastasis of human colon cancer. Methods: Human colon cancer cell line, LOVO cells, were injected intrasplenically into BALB/c nude mice to produce diffuse liver metastases. Mice were randomly divied into four groups; TNP-470 treated group, 5-FU treated group, TNP-470 +5-FU treated group and control group. Animals were sacrificed after 4 weeks, and their livers were processed for histological examination. Liver metastatic rate and tumor foci in liver were counted. Tumor microvessel density (MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were determined by immunohistochemistry SABC method with image analyse system. Results: TNP-470 in combination with 5-FU and TNP-470 alone display a significant inhibitory effect on liver metastasis compared to the control ( P

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2015;(9):133-134,143
The daily management of medical equipment in the shelter hospital of CAPF was explored, and some measures were put forward including completing administration, determining responsibilities, improving supervising system, creating management tools, strengthening application for military and civilian uses, enhancing professional awareness and etc. The problems were solved in the discrepancies between construction and management, application and maintenance as well as training and daily service, so that the equipment was improved in efficiency, service life, metrology and stability. References may be provided for the shelter hospital or other medical units of CAPF for daily management of medical devices.

Objective Analyze the amino acids and acylcarnitines in the blood of patients first diagnosed with uremia using tandem mass spectrometry in order to provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods 30 patients with uremia were selected as the research objects, while 15 cases of healthy person were served as the control. The values of 11 kinds of amino acids and 2 kinds of acylcarnitines in the two groups were detected using tandem mass spectrometry, and the data were analyzed and compared. Results The levels of alanine(Ala)and tyrosine(Tyr)in uremia group were significantly lower than those in control group(P < 0.05),while the levels of citrulline(Cit),glycine(Gly)and proline(Pro)were significantly higher in uremia group than in control group (P < 0.05). The differences were mainly in non-essential amino acids between the two groups. The levels of free carnitines and total carnitines in uremia group were significantly higher than those in normal group(P < 0.05). Conclusion For the patients first diagnosed with uremia(not treated with replacement therapy),the disturbance of amino acid metabolism mainly in non-essential amino acids were found in their blood, and the carnitine levels were higher than normal levels. The results could provide the basis for clinical nutrition therapy for patients with uremia.

Objective To investigate the outcome of problem-based learning applied in neurophysiology therapy (NPT) teaching. Methods73 students were divided into trial group (n=37, with PBL) and control group (n=36, with routine teaching). They were surveyed withself-designed questionnaire and the test. Results The achievement was not significantly different between both groups in the objective questions (P>0.05), but was better in the case analysis questions in trial group (P<0.05). The trial group satisfied in PBL. Conclusion PBL canimprove the ability of solving problems in the students.

Objective To explore the correlation between characteristics of surface electromyography (sEMG) from biceps brachii (BB)and triceps brachii (TB) and the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) during a passive movement of the spastic elbow in patients with hemiplegiaafter brain lesion. Methods 37 hemiplegics were assessed the elbow spasticity with MAS by a same therapist. Their sEMG of BB andTB were recorded synchronously. Results The Spearman analysis showed that the root mean square (RMS) of sEMG from BB (r=0.651),TB (r=0.912), TB+BB (r=0.905), TB-BB (r=0.903) correlated with MAS (P<0.001) when elbows were flexed, as well as elbows were extended(r=0.848, r=0.518, r=0.850, r=0.711, P<0.001). Conclusion sEMG can present the electrical activities of agonist and antagonist duringpassive movements of both elbow flexion and extension, which may help for the spasticity assessment.
