ObjectiveThe investigate the action of self-care in geriatric type 2 diabetes patients.Methods96 geriatric type 2 patients were investigated through questionnaire. Results47 patients determined their blood sugar once or twice a week. 68 cases took medicine strictly.56 cases were good on alimentary control. 52 patients did exercise more than 1.5 h every day. The patients below 75 age old understood more about diabetes than that upward of 75.ConclusionTo improve the level of self-care on geriatric type 2 patients, the health care education must be done.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(11):-
Gene targeted mutagenesis and replacement can be used to modify gene sequence in genomic background without position effect or insertion inactivation in transgenic plants. Targeted mutagenesis organism has little biosafety concerns free of transgenes or marker genes. Gene targeted mutagenesis and replacement in high plants now appears to be a potential tool for gene functional analysis in situ, crops genetic improvement and molecular design. Zinc finger nuclease(ZFN)is most important and would be widely used in gene targeted mutagenesis and replacement through introducing double-strand breaks in genome. Strategies for gene targeted mutagenesis and replacement in plants is discussed. ZFN is described in detail from its structure, operation model and application in plants. Developmental prospect of ZFN in plant gene targeted mutagenesis and replacement is also discussed.

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of high-dose methotrexate (MTX) and L-asparaginase (L-Asp) for the treatment of adult patients with high risk Ph acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).Methods Five adult patients with high risk Ph-ALL were treated with several courses of MTX (3-5 g/m2 by continually intravenous drip for 24 h) and L-Asp (8 000-10 000 U/time, once a day, 10 times for one cycle). Results Five patients were disease-free survival, their survival time was 60-96 months and the median survival time was 73 months. The chemotherapy-related bone marrow depression was mild.No obvious liver and kidney damage, severe allergic reaction and pancreatitis were observed. Conclusion Highdose MTX and L-Asp are effective and well tolerated, and may contribute to long-term survival of adult patients with high risk Ph-ALL.

Objective To compare the Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) of patients with sys temic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with other common chronic diseases (coronary heart disease, diabetes and hypertension). Methods Responses from Short Form-36 (SF-36) questionnaires from outpatients, inpatients with SLE,other common chronic diseases and healthy controls were analyzed in all domains. Results The mean age of patients with SLE was 39+13 years old, while those of patients with coronary heart disease, dia betes and hypertension were 65±16,60±13,59±14 years respectively. All SLE patients were significantly worse in all domains of SF-36 questionnaire, compared with the healthy controls. The responses of inactive patients with SLE,were not significantly worse than those with other chronic diseases in all domains (P>0.05).On the contrary, the responses of patients with active SLE were significantly worse than those of patients with inactive SLE,as well as patients with other chronic diseases (P<0.05).Conclusion HRQOL of patients with active SLE is significantly worse when compared to patients with other common chronic diseases.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2015;(1):40-43
AIM:To study the effect of remifentanil on monophasic action potential and transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR) in the 3-layer myocardium of isolated rabbit hearts .METHODS:Adult rabbits (n=18, 2.0 ~2.5 kg) were used to isolate the hearts for preparing Langendorff perfusion model .The hearts were randomly divided into 3 groups after perfusion with K-H solution for 15 min: the perfusion in control group ( C group ) continued for 60 min; the hearts in remifentanil group ( R group ) were perfused with 12 μg/L remifentanil K-H solution for 60 min; the hearts in remifentanil+aminophylline group ( RA group ) were given 60-min perfusion of 12 μg/L K-H remifentanil +30 mg/L aminophylline .The HR and 3 layers of myocardial monophasic action potential ( MAP) in the left ventricular anterior wall were recorded at time points after balanced infusion for 15 min ( T0 ) , and continued perfusion for 15 min ( T1 ) , 30 min ( T2 ) and 60 min ( T3 ) .The monophasic action potential duration of repolarization at 90%( MAPD90 ) and the transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR) were calculated. The early afterdepolarization, delay afterdepolarization and arrhythmia were also observed.RESULTS:In R group, slower HR and prolonger MAPD90 and TDR at T1 ~T3 were observed as com-pared with those at T0(P<0.05).R group showed slower HR and longer MAPD 90 and TDR than C group and RA group (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Remifentanil slows the HR, extends the MAPD90 and increases the TDR, thus being prone to induce reentry.Aminophylline makes HR faster and MAPD90 shorter, thereby reducing the TDR.

Objective To evaluate the effect of aminophylline on monophasic action potential (MAP) during remifentanil-induced negative chronotropic effect in the isolated rabbit hearts. Methods Eighteen healthy adult rabbits, weighing 2.0-2.5 kg,wereused in the study.Their hearts were excised and retrogradely perfused in a Langendorff apparatus. After 15 min of stabilization with K-H solution, the isolated hearts were randomly divided into 3 groups (n =6 each) using a random number table:control group (group C),remifentanil group (R group),and remifentanil + aminophylline group (RA group).Group C was perfused with 37 ℃ K-H solution for 60 min.Group R was perfused with K-H solution containing remifentanil 12 ng/ml for 60 min.Group RA was perfused with K-H solution containing remifentanil 12 ng/ml and aminophylline 30 μg/ml for 60 min.At 15 min of stabilization and 15,30 and 60 min of perfusion,HR and MAP in the myardium of left ventricle were recorded:MAP duration at 90% and 50% repolarization (MAPD90,MAPD50) was calculated. The early after depolarization, delay after depolarization and arrhythmia were recorded. Results Compared with group C,HR was significantly decreased at 15,30 and 60 min of perfusion, and MAPD50 and MAPD90 were prolonged in goup R,and HR was increased in group RA.HR was significantly higher, and MAPD50 and MAPD90 were shorter in RA group than in group R.No early after depolarization, delay after depolarization or arrhythmia developed in each group. Conclusion Aminophylline antagonizes remifentanil-induced negative chronotropic effect through shortening monophasic action potential duration in the myocardium of left ventricle of the isolated rabbit hearts.
