Objective:To observe the change of CD4 + T cells of SARS patients in early stage of disease and determine its clinical significance on the progress of disease and therapy selection.Methods:Detection the absolute counts of T cell subset from the peripheral blood samples of 52 SARS patients in initial 10 days' duration by Flow cytometry.Serial frontal chest radiographs had done and the progression of disease was observed during the treatment of all patients.Results:The 34 cases among the 52 patients were in normal range of CD4 + cell absolute count.At the same time,their pulmonary lesions were in limited degree and the states of an illness were stabilization and the pulmonary lesions were absorbed quickly.Therefore they reuired the treatment without corticosteroids.The other 18 patients were with low CD4 + cell absolute count, of which 13 cases showed progressive deterioation of radiographic change and were treated with corticosteroids additional.The other 5 cases with the mild low of absolute count of CD4 + cells were also static during the period of observation,and no treatment with coticosteroids.There was statistically significant relation between two groups(P=0 000).The results of Pearson correlate analysis between absolute count of CD4 + cells and pulmonary lesions were r=-0 737;P=0 000;The result between absolute count of CD4 + cells and corticosteroids treatment were r=-0 573;P=0 000.Conclusion:Peripheral blood CD4 + cell absolute counts of SARS patients on early stage of onset were negatively related to the degree of pulmonary lesions.The patients with remarkable decrease of CD4 + cell were in need of treatment with corticosteroids.

This study is undertaken to modify the chitosan nanoparticles (CS-NPs) with wheat germ agglutinin (WGA), and investigate the conjugation between WGA-CS-NPs and N-acetylglucosamine (NAG). CS-NPs were prepared by ionotropic gelation process and then conjugated with WGA under the activation of glutaricdialdehyde. The mean diameter of the CS-NPs was approximately 113.5 nm and the poly-dispersity index (PDI) was 0.18. The binding yield of WGA to CS-NPs was comprised between 27.8% and 87.9% depending mostly on the addition of 0.3% (w/v) glutaraldehyde solution. A competitive inhibition experiment of WGA-CS-NPs to bovine submaxillary gland mucin (BSM) was taken to illuminate the binding activity of WGA-CS-NPs to the sugar of N-acetylglucosamine. After the addition of NAG, the binding rates between CS-NPs and BSM almost didn't change, while the binding rates between WGA-CS-NPs and BSM dropped down significantly, which confirmed the specific binding characteristics of WGA to NAG.

Objective To evaluate the utility of flow cytometry (FCM) in diagnosis and subclassification of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Methods The samples of lymph nodes biopsy from 59 cases clinically suspected of NHL were detected by flow cytometry; and clonal lymphocytes and their immunophenotypes were identified analyzed. The concordance between the results of flow cytometry and histopathology was analyzed. Results Among the 59 cases, flow cytometry was able to identify aberrant clonal lymphocytes in 24 of 28 NHL cases identified by histopathology, the neoplastic lymphocytes ranged from 4.28 % to 89.10 %; 23 cases were diagnosed as B-NHL and 1 case was diagnosed as T-NHL. Compared with histopathology, the accuracy of FCM was 85.71% in diagnosis of NHL. The specificity and sensitivity of FCM was 100 % and 92% in diagnosis of B-NHL. The accuracy of flow cytometry immunophenotyping in classification of 24 cases of NHL was consistent with that of histopathology. Conclusion Flow cytometry could be an ancillary technique in diagnosis of NHL by identifying aberrant clonal lymphocytes, and enable identification of B-NHL subtype.

AIM: To investigate the preoperative binocular visual function of intermittent exotropia and the rebuilding and recovery of the postoperative binocular visual function, and analyze the effect of binocular visual function on orthophoria after surgery.
METHODS:From January 2011 to January 2014, 47 basic intermittent exotropia patients caming for treatment were collected in the clinical data. The changes in their near stereopsis, binocular visual function, binocular fusion and distance stereopsis after operations were recorded in the form of data. The preoperative binocular vision and the postoperative rebuilding were analyzed and contrasted with each other. In addition, the effect on the postoperative maintaining of orthophoria due to the existence, recovery and rebuilding of binocular visual function were observed.
RESULTS:Intermittent exotropia patients got damage in different levels on their binocular visual functions, especially on distance stereopsis, which was the heaviest and earliest. After the operation, all functions were obviously recovered and reconstructed and the improvements were statistically significant compared against those before the operation (P<0. 01). Patients having binocular visual function or part of it before the operation had a higher ratio of orthophoria compared against the patients who had lost binocular visual function before the operation and the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 01). The recovery and reconstruction of the postoperative binocular visual function played an important role in maintaining the orthophoria.
CONCLUSION: The intermittent exotropia cause damage to the stereopsis which happened the earliest. Obvious recovery and reconstruction of binocular visual function can be observed after the surgery. A relatively good preoperative binocular visual function may lead to the increase in the ratio of orthophoria or cure the intermittent exotropia. Performing an operation when distance stereopsis is damaged can increase the success rate for the surgery and reduce the recurrence rate.

Objective To investigate the relationship between thyroid hormone levels and the attack of arrhythmia after thoracic surgery.Methods Information of 44 patients after thoracic surgery form September 2012 to February 2015 in General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University was collected, and divided in to the arrhythmia group and non-arrhythmia group.A retrospective analysis was carried on their ECG, thyroid hormone levels, and physical health, and the parameters were then compared between the two groups.The correlation of triiodothyronine (T3) level and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE Ⅱ) was analyzed.Results The arrhymia patients' serum T3 and free triiodothyronine (FT3) levels were below normal levels, while the serum T3 and FT3 levels of the non-arrhythmia patients were within normal range, and the differences between the two groups were significant (P＜0.05).No notable change of other thyroid hormones levels and correlation of T3, FT3 and APACHE Ⅱ score were found.Conclusions There is a significant difference between the arrhythmia and non-arrhythmia groups in serum T3 and FT3 levels.Perioperative thyroid hormone replacement therapy is worthy of consideration and trial in the clinical prevention and treatment of arrhythmia and prognostic improvement of patients.

Objective To analyse the clinical efficacy of methotrexate (MTX) combined with intrauterine embryo sac garrotte injection in the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP), and discuss its clinical significance. Methods A total of 77 patients with CSP treated in our hospital during June 2013 to December 2016 were selected in this study. Forty patients treated with embryo sac destruction and methotrexate injection were included in the observation group, while 37 cases treated by uterine artery embolization combined with curettage were used as the control group. The time of vaginal bleeding, the time of postoperative blood level of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) returned to the normal level, average hospitalization cost and the curative rate were recorded in two groups. All patients were followed up by the outpatient visit. Results In the observation group, the vaginal bleeding time [(22.1±6.7) days vs. (29.5±10.8) days] and treatment cost [(8774.2 ± 714.5) yuan vs. (15258.3 ± 1084.2) yuan] were less than those of the control group (P<0.001). There were no significant differences in the recovery time of HCG [(26.4±9.0) days vs. (25.1±10.4) days] and treatment success rate (87.5%vs. 91.9%) between the two groups (P>0.05). No bleeding or threatened rupture of scar were found in two groups of patients. Conclusion In this study, we take the embryo sac puncture combined with methotrexate injection in the treatment of scar pregnancy. Objective To observe the effect of ultrashort wave diathermy on collagen type I expression in early stage of hormon-induced avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH) in rabbit.Methods A total of 40 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into two groups:a control group (n=10) and a treatment group (n =30).All the animals in the treatment group were injected with horse serum and methylprednisolone to establish the ANFH model,and then divided into 2 subgroups:a model group and a ultrashort wave diathermy group,which were treated accordingly.After 12 weeks of treatment,all the animals were sacrificed and collagen type I expression in the femoral head was observed.Results It was shown that the expression of the collagen type I was significantly lower in the model animals than that in the controls as indicated by the stronger immunohistochemistry staining for rabbit collagen type,while that of the ultrashort wave diathermy group was significant higher than the control group ( P

Objective To definite the interactions between the human gastric carcinoma cell and the human vascular endothelial cell during the establishment and maintenance of the tumor vascular system and the tumor hematogenous metastasis.Methods We prepared the conditioned mediums of each cell so as to study the effect of the conditioned medium on itself or others by MTT colorimetry. The comprehensive effect of interactions between two cells was determined by stratified transfilter co-culture or direct contact co-culture.Results The conditioned medium of human gastric carcinoma cell can stimulate the proliferation of the human vascular endothelial cell, but the CM of HVEC can inhibit the growth of HGCC. Both kinds of cells can inhibit the growth of itself. The ultimate comprehensive effect of the interactions between two kinds of cells was increase of total cell numbers.Conclusion There exist the complicated interactions between the human gastric carcinoma cell and the human vascular endothelial cell during the tumor angiogenesis and the tumor hematogenous metastasis. The ultimate comprehensive effect of the interactions is increase of total cells numbers and tumor volume.

OBJECTIVE To observe prenatal nicotine exposure (PNE) induced high sensitivity of hypo?thalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis in offspring rats which were fed with a high-fat diet, and to explore the mechanism. METHODS Nicotine (2 mg·kg-1 per day) was injected subcutaneously to preg?nant Wistar rats from gestational day (GD) 9 to GD20,and then the young rats were naturally delivered. After weaning, half of the offspring was fed with a high-fat diet until postnatal weeks (PW) 20. The others were exposed to unpredictable chronic stress (UCS) from PW17 to PW20. The pathological changes in the hippocampus were analyzed by HE staining. The blood concentration of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and corticosterone (CORT) was detected by RIA kits and ELISA kits, respectively. Meanwhile, real-time PCR was used to detect the mRNA expression of ACTH releasing hormone (CRH), arginine vasopressin (AVP), vesicular glutamate transporter 2 (VGluT2), glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65), mineralocorticoid receptor (MR),glucocorticoid receptor (GR) and glutamic acid decarboxylase 67 (GAD67). RESULTS In the normal control group,UCS treatment increased the level of serum ACTH and CORT 1.96 and 3.24 times in female rats,but 1.63 and 3.54 times in male rats. In the PNE group, UCS treatment increased the level of serum ACTH and CORT 3.96 and 5.98 times in female rats, but 3.04 and 5.22 times male rats. PNE increased the mRNA expression of AVP in the female and male rats 2.04 and 1.13 times in UCS treatment control group, and the mRNA expression of hypothalamus CRH and the ratio of VGLuT2/ GAD65 were increased 2.49 and 1.14 times in female rats, respectively. Furthermore, the nicotine group exhibited histological changes to different degrees in the hippocampus and dentate gyrus area of the hippocampus. In the female and male nicotine groups, the mRNA ratio of hippocampal MR/GR decreased by 88.0% and 86.0% in comparison with the normal control group without UCS, and the mRNA expression of GAD67 was enhanced 1.38 and 1.97 times in female and male rats without UCS. In the female UCS treatment nicotine groups, the mRNA expression of GAD67 was increased 2.17 times compared with the UCS treatment control group. CONCLUSION PNE can induce a high sensibility of HPA axis in offspring rats fed with a high-fat diet. The imbalance of hippo?campus MR/GR and the enhanced expression of GAD67 mRNA may be involved.
