1.An argument about 'restraint subsequent to disorders caused by unrestrained excess'
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(01):-
The theory of 'restraint subsequent to disorders caused by unrestrained excess' is the essence of the doctrine on yunqi(five successive evolutive phases corresponding to five elements) as well as an important part of the theory of Chinese medicine. It reveals a phenomenon about growth, transformation and restriction that commonly exists in the natural world.Interpromotion and interrestraint of the five elements, opposition and mutual basement of Yinyang, system science, natural phenomena and cultural phenomena are all governed by this theory. This article approaches the theory of 'restraint subsequent to disorders caused by unrestrained excess' from the viewpoint of nature, physiology, pathogenesis, therapeutics and practice, pointing out its significance in the development and clinical modernization of Chinese medicine.

3.Pathogens from 1 151 cases of urine culture and their antibiotic resistance profile
Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy 2015;(1):38-42
Objective To analyze the pathogens and antibiotic resistance profile in patients with urinary tract infections who were treated from 2011 to 2013 to provide evidence for rational use of antimicrobial agents. Methods SIEMENS MicroScan WalkAway 96 Plus system or API system was used for identification of bacteria and fungi.Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was conducted by disk diffusion method.WHONET 5.6 software was used for data analysis. Results A total of 344 (29.9%) strains of pathogens were detected from 1 151 midstream urine culture specimens,of which 76.5% (263/344)were gram negative bacteria, including E.coli (53.2%,183/344),K.pneumoniae (9.6%,33/344),Proteus (6.1%,21/344),and P . aeruginosa (3.5%,12/344).About 23.5% (81/344)of the isolates were gram-positive bacteria, including Enterococcus faecalis (4.9%,17/344)and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (4.4%,15/344).ESBLs were produced in 51.9% of the E. coli isolates and 63.6% of the K.pneumoniae isolates.ESBLs-producing strains showed significantly higher resistance rates to cephalosporins, quinolones, tetracyclines, sulfonamides and other antimicrobial agents than non-ESBLs-producing strains (P <0.05).Enterobacteriaceae isolates were highly sensitive to carbapenems (90.5%-100% sensitive).P .aeruginosa strains were relatively sensitive to ciprofloxacin, amikacin and meropenem (83.3%).Gram-positive cocci remained highly sensitive to antimicrobial agents.Regular monitoring and timely analysis of the pathogens of urinary tract infections and their resistance profile are of great importance to rational use of antimicrobial agents.
4.Clinical application of solution focused approach in the functional gastrointestinal disorders
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(34):8-11
Objective To application of solution focused approach in the functional gastrointestinal disorders. Methods 64 hospitalized clients with functional gastrointestinal disorders were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 32 cases in each group. We applied the normal nursing intervention to the control group, while applied the solution focused approach to the observation group. The anxiety and depression score, score of coping way and gastrointestinal symptoms were evaluated using t test. Results The scores of anxiety and depression, coping way and gastrointestinal symptoms were better in the observation group than those in the control group. Conclusions Adoption of solution focused approach can relieve FGID sufferers'negative emotion, such as anxiety and depression, increase sufferers' coping capacity and symptoms, which demonstrate pivotal significance for rehabilitation of functional gastrointestinal disorders.
5.Efficacy of comparing furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide in chronic kidney disease at advanced stage and hypertension
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2016;36(6):94-96
Objective To explore the antihypertensive, diuretic and natriuretic effects of furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide alone or combination in chronic kidney disease ( CKD) at advanced stage and hypertension. Methods 126 cases of chronic kidney disease at advanced stage and hypertension in our hospital were randomized divided into 3 groups (A, B and C).Each group had 42 cases.Patients of group A and B received furosemide single drug and hydrochlorothiazide single drug, respectively.Patients of group C received furosemide combined with hydrochlorothiazide. The filtration sodium excretion fraction ( FENa) , the filtration chlorine excretion fraction( FECI) , blood pressure and renal functional indexes were measured. Results There was no significant difference in FENa and FECI between pre-treatment and post-treatment in group A and B.The FENa and FECI in group C post-treatment were significant higher than pre-treatment ( P<0.05 ) .There was no significant difference in blood pressure between group A and B post-treatment.The blood pressure in group C post-treatment was significant higher than group A, group B,respectively(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in GFR between pre-treatment and post-treatment in group A and B.The GFR in group C post-treatment was significant higher than pre-treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in RPF and RVR between pre-treatment and post-treatment in three groups. The GFF in three groups post-treatment were significant higher than pre-treatment( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion The antihypertensive, diuretic and natriuretic effects of single furosemide and single hydrochlorothiazide are good and have no significant difference, while the combination treatment is better.
6.EFFECTS OF INFLAMMATION ON PROGNOSIS FOLLOWING VITRECTOMY
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
Vitrectomy is helpful in the management of ocular trauma, but prolonged inflammation following vitrec tomy may be associated with a high incidence of traction retinal detachment. To test this hypothesis! ma-crophages.the main cellular component of vitreous inflammation, were injected into the vitreous cavity of rabbit eyes following vitrectorny. Fibrovascular proliferation over the medullary rays and optic disc and traction retinal detachment occurred in 13 of 15 vitrectomized eyes injected with macrophages, while in only three of 15 vitrectomized eyes injected with culture medium (controls). These results demonstrate that macrophages are capable of stimulating intraocular cellular proliferation. It is therefore suggested that anti-inflammation drugs and minimization of surgical intervention may improve the prognosis following vitrectomy.
7.Roles of integrin and vascular endothelial growth factor in angiogenesis
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(08):-
Integrin is a main factor that mediates adhesive attraction between the cell and the extracellular matrix, and it participates in the formation of new vessel lumens and the construction of the rete vasculosum by regulating endothelial cell adhesion and migration. The extracellular matrix is the ligand of integrin.Collagen and laminin's deposition form new vessel lumens. The vascular endothelial growth factor promotes the proliferation of endothelial cells, accelerates angiogenesis and increases the permeability of blood vessels. This review focuses on the roles and correlation of integrin and VEGF in angiogenesis.
8.Lysophosphatidic acid and ischemic heart disease
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(02):-
Lysophosphatidic acid(LPA) is a potent bioactive lipid that has multiple specific effects on vessel wall cells, blood cells, cardiac myocytes and cardiac fibroblasts.Activated platelets are the primary source of LPA in circulation, which in turn stimulate platelet aggregation. It has shown that LPA can promote the formation of atherosclerosis and thrombus under certain conditions that might aggravate cardiovascular diseases, especially ischemic heart disease.LPA can enhance endothelial permeability and cause barrier dysfunction in the early phase of coronary atherosclerosis,as well as in the late phase trigger platlet activation and lead to intra-arterial thrombus formation upon rupture of the atherosclerotic plaque, finally cause myocardial ischemia and infarction.Furthermore,LPA can stimulate cardiac myocyte hypertrophy and fibroblasts proliferation, which aggravate myocardial hypertrophy after infarction. So,LPA plays an important role in the development of ischemic heart disease.
