2.Alginate combined with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells for repair of spinal tuberculosis:biocompatibility and mechanical properties
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2017;21(10):1565-1570
BACKGROUND: Although considerable progress has been made in spinal tuberculosis surgery, considering the particularity of the spine position, the surgical treatment is limited by the body stress and secondary injury due to removal of the internal fixation. Tissue engineering provides a new insight into the treatment of various diseases.Ideal biomaterials instead of traditional internal fixation materials are characterized by non-toxic and non-immune rejections.OBJECTIVE: To explore the biocompatibility and mechanical properties of alginate combined with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells for repair of spinal tuberculosis.METHODS: Forty New Zealand rabbits were divided into four groups, 10 rats in each group: control group, spinal tuberculosis group, alginate group and titanium alloy group. The control group received no treatment, and in the other groups, boreholes were drilled in the fifth lumbar intervertebral disc and filled with gelatin sponge, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis suspension 0.1 mL (the amount of bacteria, 5 g/L)was then injected to make spinal tuberculosis models. Two months after modeling, simulated L4-5 spinal tuberculosis surgery was performed in the latter two groups, and alginate combined with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and titanium alloy internal fixation material were implanted, respectively.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: One rabbit in the titanium alloy group had local infection and swelling. No rabbit in the alginate group had adverse reactions, such as swelling and local infection. Anteflexion, rear protraction, lateral bending distance and maximum axial pullout force in the alginate group and titanium alloy group were superior to those in the spinal tuberculosis group (P < 0.05), which were close to normal levels (P > 0.05). The above results showed that the alginate gel combined bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells has good biocompatibility with the body after implantation, and the post-implantation spinal stability is good and close to that after implantation of the titanium alloy.

Objective To analyze the effect of X-irradiation on the proteins expression of p57kip2 and TGF-β1 in lung cancer cell stain A549 and its clinical significance. Methods Lung cancer cell stain A549 was cultivated and cell, protein was extracted at 6,12,24,36 and 48 hours after X-irradiation by differenl doses(2,4, 8 and 12 Gy).The expression of p57kip2 and TGF-β1 proteins were examined by Western blot. Results The expression of p57kip2 in lung cancer cell stain A549 was very low before X-irradiation.and increased significantly after irradiation with difierent doses and reached the peak level at 12 hours after irradiation(P<0.05).TGF-β1 reached its peak 1evel at 6 hours after irradiation(P<0.05).Conclusions X-irradiation can up-regulate the expression of p57kip2 and TGF-β1 proteins which increased with certain doses.p57kip2 and TGF-β1 could be usedto predict the damage degree of cancer cells by X-ray.

China Medical Equipment 2016;13(7):31-33,34
Objective:is toTo detect a new type of micro-injection pump, its flow rate of quality control testing and syringe pump through the comparative analysis, and study its accuracy and stability. Methods:A certain brand of injection flow rate accuracy and stability of drug pumps and syringe pumps were detected by the use of professional Fluke infusion device analyzer and a dedicated infusion line. Results:Compared the injection pump with syringe pump flow rate of errors, a flow rate was 1 ml/h, t. The errordeviation range of micro-injection pump flow rate is larger than the syringe pump, and a flow rate was 25 ml/h and 50 ml/h, both the same, . Wwith drug detection time went on, a flow rate of injection pump has tended to stabilize. After the flow rate is stable, the longer the detection time is, the overall error is smaller. At the time of 15 min, test data are in line with national testing standards. Conclusion:The combination of injection pump and infusion pump, the micro-injection pump can meet the growing demand for clinical departments, and its stability and accuracy can meet the national standards.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(07):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of holmium laser lithotripsy for the treatment of urinary calculi. Methods A total of 1216 cases of urinary calculi underwent ureteropyeloscopic and cyctocopic holmium laser lithotripsy. There were 1 006 cases of ureteral stones(302 cases of upper ureteral stones,364 cases of middle ureteral stones, and 340 cases of lower ureteral stones) and 210 cases of bladder stones. Results In 1 case of upper ureteral stones, failure to access the ureteral orifice due to enlarged prostate was encountered, and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL) was employed. In 1006 cases of ureteral stones, the rate of successful fragmentation on single session was 95.5%(961/1 006),with 89.4%(270/302),96.4%(351/364),and 100%(340/340) for upper, middle, and lower ureteral stones, respectively.Ureteral perforation was encountered during lithotripsy in 6 cases. In 210 cases of bladder stones, the rate of successful fragmentation on one session was 100%(210/210).No bleeding or bladder perforation was observed during lithotripsy.Follow-up checkups for 0.5~40 months(mean,18.6 months) in 881 cases of ureteral stones showed that the stone-free rates were 91.1%(224/246),98.5%(318/323),and 100%(312/312) for upper, middle, and lower ureteral stones, respectively. The overall stone-free rate for all levels of ureteral stones achieved 96.9%((854/881)).Ureteral stenosis was found in 6 cases.Follow-up checkups for 0.5~31 months(mean,12.4 months) in 187 cases of bladder stones revealed a stone-free rate of 98.4%(184/187). Conclusions Holmium laser lithotripsy is a highly effective, minimally invasive, and safe therapy for urinary calculi. It is indicated as the first choice of treatment for patients with ureteral stones and bladder stones.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2010;16(9):805-806
Spasticity can influence the outcome of the patients with cerebral injury. Most traditional physical therapies often focused on the spastic muscle. The recent development has showed that stimulating the antagonistic muscle can relieve the spasticity, which based on the reciprocal inhibition theory. This paper reviewed these approaches on its theory and application.
