Objective To investigate the efficacy of microsurgery treatment with small craniotomy lateral fissure approach for hyperten-sive basal ganglia intracranial hemorrhage. Methods From December 2013 to February 2015, 30 patients with hypertensive basal ganglia intracranial hemorrhage ( blood loss within 30~60 mL) were analyzed respectively. Summarized the methods and techniques of this microsur-gery treatment and analyzed its advantages and disadvantages compared with the traditional operation. Results The hematomas were excluded more than 90% which were proved by reexamination after opreation. There was one case of temporal lobe infarction, but there was no re-bleed case and death case. The recovery of consciousness is good, and the limb function and language function were improved by early rehabilitation treatment. Conclusion Microsurgery treatment with small craniotomy lateral fissure approach for hypertensive basal ganglia intracerebral hemorrhage has the advantages of minimal invasion, complete hematoma removal and low complication and disability rates, which is worthy of promotion and application.

Objective To investigate the expression of neuron-specific enolase(NSE) and bone morphogenic protein 4(BMP4) in different hippocampal areas of pentylenetetrazol(PTZ) kindled epilepsy rats and explore their relationship with the pathogenesis of epilepsy and brain injury. Methods Fifty male SD rats were divided into experimental group(n=40) and control group(n=10).The rats in experimental group were kindled into epilepsy by chemical method, and according to the kindling process, subdivided into four groups(grade Ⅰ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ).Immunohistochemistry,in situ hybridization labeled with Dig-oligonucleotide probe and the image analyzing system were used to observe the expressions of NSE and BMP4 in rat hippocampus. Results In PTZ kindled epilepsy rats, the number of cells positive for NSE and BMP4 was increased in many regions of hippocampal formation.Compared with control group, the expressions of NSE and BMP4 in CA3 and DG was elevated obviously in the grade Ⅲ group and grade Ⅳ group(P

Objective To explore the application value of dipstick dye immuno-assay (DDIA) for screening the schistosomiasis chemotherapy targets in the low endemic areas of Xiaogan City. Methods The residents aged 6-65 years in a village in the low endemic areas of schistosomiasis of Xiaogan City were selected and tested by the methods of fecal examination,DDIA,indirect hemagghitination (IHA),enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and inquiry, and the results of fecal examination were determined as the gold standard. Results The Youden' s indices of IHA,DDIA,ELISA and inquiry were 0.74,0.72,0.62 and 0.30,respectively,and the consistency rates of them were 93.38%,91.99%,81.53% and 70.03%,respectively.It took 16.70,4.95,4.12,5.63 and 2.44 Yuan screening one patient with the fecal examination,IHA,DDIA,ELISA and inquiry, respectively. Conclusion The validity of DDIA with simple operation and low cost for screening the schistosomiasis chemotherapy targets is satisfying, and the method is suitable for large scale screening in low endemic areas.

Objective To construct a predictive model for the severity of depression based on the expression of circular RNAs(circRNAs)in peripheral blood. Methods Selecting 80 patients with depression who visited our hospital from August 2022 to August 2023,they were divided into a mild to moderate group of 49 cases and a severe group of 31 cases.Forty healthy individuals were selected as the healthy group, and after gene chip screening, five circRNAs with significant differences were selected.Further analysis was conducted on the relationship between circRNAs and the severity of depression, and independent risk factors affecting the severity of depression were analyzed, based on the analysis results, construct a depression severity prediction model using a column chart based on the expression of circRNAs in peripheral blood. Results Compared with the healthy group and mild to moderate group, the severe group had circRNA_100679,circRNA_1 03636 relative expression level decreased,circRNA_102802,circRNA_103964,The relative expression level of circRNA_002143 increased(P<0.05).CircRNA_100679,circRNA_103636 is negatively correlated with the severity of depression(r=-0.594,-0.512,P<0.05),circRNA_102802,circRNA_103964,circRNA_002143 is positively correlated with the severity of depression(r=0.603,0.425,0.412,P<0.05).CircRNA_100679,circRNA_102802,circRNA_103636,circRNA_103964,circRNA_002143,family history of mental illness, and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)are all risk factors for the severity of depression(P<0.05).The predicted area under the curve of the column chart prediction model based on risk factors such as peripheral blood circRNAs is 0.900,with a 95%CI:0.811-0.945.The model has good discrimination and high internal validation consistency. Conclusion The construction of a column chart model based on circRNAs expression for predicting the severity of depression has good predictive value and can provide reference for the diagnosis and treatment of depression severity in clinical practice.
