OBJECTIVE To investigate the appropriate time of replacing urine-collecting bags in allogenic kidney transplantation recipient with indwelling catheter.METHODS A total of 52 patients, accepted allogenic kidney transplantation from Jan to Dec 2006,were investigated. At 2 to 8 days after operation, the urine was collected for bacterial culture and then the urine-collecting bags changed.RESULTS There was no pathogen detected at 2 to 5 days after operation. There were 1,3 and 4 strains detected at 6,7 and 8 days after operation, respectively.Among the patients detected with pathogen, there were 5 males and 3 females. And there was 1 case of 18 to 30 years old,2 cases of 31 to 40 years old,3 cases of 41 to 50 years old,and 2 cases of 51 to 60 years old.CONCLUSIONS The appropriate time of replacing urine-collecting bags of allogenic kidney transplantation recipient is the fifth day after operation. There is no correlation between the results of urine culture and age or sex.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)combined with per-cutaneous microwave ablation(MWA)in treatment of large-sized hepatic carcinoma. Methods A total of 84 patients with large-sized hepatic carcinoma were randomly and equally divided into the study group(n=42)and control group(n=42).TACE combined with MWA was carried out in the patients of the study group, while only TACE was performed in the patients of the control group. Results The effective rate of the study group and the control group was 71.4% and 42.8% respectively, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).In the study group, the survival rates at 6,12,18,24 months after the treatment were 88.1%,73.8%,52.3% and 33.3% respectively, while in the control group the survival rates were 76.2%,57.1%,30.9% and 9.5%respectively.There was no statistically significant differences in the postoperative complications between the two groups. Conclusion TACE combined with MWA appears to be an effective approach for the treatment of large-sized hepatic carcinoma. The effect of combined therapy is obviously superior to the only TACE.

ObjectiveTo reveal status in quo of rehabilitation research according to rehabilitation periodical literature.MethodsMEDLINE and CBM are the retrieval databases during 1995—2002. ICD-10 is the main classification tool of central nervous diseases.ResultsThe percentage of rehabilitation literature is 1.32% on MEDLINE, 1.53% on CBM during 1995—2002. The ratio of rehabilitation literature is 1.67 between MEDLINE and CBM. The common study fields include stroke, paraplegia, hypertension, cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, Parkinson disease, epilepsy, and cerebral infarction, etc.The foreign study takes advantage in multiple sclerosis, and tetraplegia, etc. The fewer fields are neuromyelitis optica, arachnoiditis, and Huntington's disease, etc.ConclusionsThe study of central nervous disease rehabilitation is generally similar on some common CNS diseases, some foreign studies taking advantage.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effects of different CO(2) pneumoperitoneum conditions on renal function in rats and provide experimental evidence for improving renal graft function after transplantation.
METHODSSD rats were randomized into 10 groups (n=12) and subject to CO(2) pneumoperitoneum at different pressures (0.67, 1.33 and 2.0 kPa) for 60 or 120 min. Serum urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr) and N-acetyl-β-D-glocosaminidase (NAG) levels were detected after pneumoperitoneum.
RESULTSAs the pressure and time of pneumoperitoneum increased, the renal function deteriorated gradually, showing significant differences between the groups (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONIncreased pressure and prolonged duration of CO(2) pneumoperitoneum causes impairment of the renal function, suggesting the necessity of reducing the operative time and lowering the pressure of pneumoperitoneum when harvesting renal graft in living donors.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2005;22(6):1259-1263
Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals of different mental tasks were preprocessed using Independent Component Analysis (ICA). Auto-Regressive (AR) model was used to extract the feature, and Back-Propagation (BP) network as the classifier. When features were extracted from 20-100 Hz high frequency range, the classification accuracy was the same as that taken from the whole frequency range and was more higher than the result of 2-35 Hz normal EEG rhythm. The explanation of this phenomenon is: brain displays different rhythm assimilation during different mental task under the effect of 60 Hz power frequency, so the high frequency components of EEG include more mental modulated information which is useful for improving the classification accuracy. The result presents a new evidence for the brain rhythm assimilation phenomenon and gives a novel feature extraction method for realizing high accuracy real-time BCI based on mental task.

Objective:
To understand the current status of follow up of people living with HIV/AIDS by health service at grass root in rural area of Jiangxi province and related factors, and provide references for the promotion of the follow up by grass root health service.
Methods:
People living HIV/AIDS aged ≥18 years and diagnosed before 31 December 2017 in 6 townships of Xinjian, Yushan counties and Guixi city were included in the study in Jiangxi province. They had been followed up for more than one time after the first epidemiologic survey. The information about their demographic characteristics and HIV infection status were collected by using self-designed questionnaire. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were conducted to identify the factors that influencing the acceptance of follow up by grass root health service.
Results:
Of the 373 surveyed HIV infected subjects aged (53.06±16.15) years, 261 were males (70.0

The HIV-infected people were investigated for their satisfactory situation towards the follow-up management of primary medical and health care institutions in Xinjian County, Yushan County and Guixi City of Jiangxi Province from January to July 2018 and related factors were also analyzed. The total score of the Infected Patients′ Follow-up Management Satisfaction Scale higher than 59 was defined as the satisfactory. 75.68% of 259 infected patients were satisfied with the follow-up management. Compared to farmers and other follow-up modes, non-farmers (

Osteoporosis (OP) is a systemic skeletal disease that primarily affects the elderly population, which greatly increases the risk of fractures. Here we report that Kindlin-2 expression in adipose tissue increases during aging and high-fat diet fed and is accompanied by decreased bone mass. Kindlin-2 specific deletion (K2KO) controlled by Adipoq-Cre mice or adipose tissue-targeting AAV (AAV-Rec2-CasRx-sgK2) significantly increases bone mass. Mechanistically, Kindlin-2 promotes peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) activation and downstream fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) expression through stabilizing fatty acid synthase (FAS), and increased FABP4 inhibits insulin expression and decreases bone mass. Kindlin-2 inhibition results in accelerated FAS degradation, decreased PPARγ activation and FABP4 expression, and therefore increased insulin expression and bone mass. Interestingly, we find that FABP4 is increased while insulin is decreased in serum of OP patients. Increased FABP4 expression through PPARγ activation by rosiglitazone reverses the high bone mass phenotype of K2KO mice. Inhibition of FAS by C75 phenocopies the high bone mass phenotype of K2KO mice. Collectively, our study establishes a novel Kindlin-2/FAS/PPARγ/FABP4/insulin axis in adipose tissue modulating bone mass and strongly indicates that FAS and Kindlin-2 are new potential targets and C75 or AAV-Rec2-CasRx-sgK2 treatment are potential strategies for OP treatment.
