OBJECTIVE: To discuss the clinical characteristics and early diagnosis and treatment of relapsing polychondritis(RP). METHOD: Twenty-six RP patients received the therapies of antibiotics, glucocorticosteroid, immunosuppressive agent,tracheotomy, tracheal sent implantation or non-invasive ventilation. RESULT: Twenty-six cases (88.5%) had auricle involvement, 20 cases (76.9%) had respiratory tract involvement, 18 cases (69.2%) had joints involvement, 10 cases (38.5%) had nose involvement, 6 cases (23.1%) had eyes involvement, 4 cases (15.4%) had cochlea and (or) vestibular involvement. Some patients with cardiac, vascular, kidney damage as well. One case died of severe pulmonary infection. One case died of respiratory failure. The symptoms of other 24 cases were stable or improved in different degrees. CONCLUSION The clinical manifestations are diverse in RP patients, mainly in department of Otolaryngology, the prognoses of patients with airway involvement are worse, and it may improve the curative effect by an early diagnosis and a timely treatment.

Objective To investigate pulmonary function of tidal respiration in late premature infants with non-mechanical ventilation treatment at corrected gestational age of full term. Methods A total of 26 late premature infants with non-mechanical ventilation treatment at corrected gestational age of full term were collected from Qingdao Women and Children′s Hospital between April and December 2013,and saved as the late premature infant group. Also, a total of 31 full term infants with hyperbilirubinemia or neonatal ABO hemolytic disease were recruited and treated as the full term group. Then the parameters of pulmonary func-tion of tidal respiration were compared between the two groups. The late premature infant group was equally allocated into extrauterine growth retardation and non-extrauterine growth retardation groups according to the increase in weight and the ratio of time to peak tidal expiratory flow and total expiratory time(TPEF/TE) and the ratio of expiratory volume at peak tidal expiratory flow and total expiratory volume( VPEF/VE) were respectively compared in these two groups. Another correlation analysis between body weight and TPEF/TE was carried out in the non-extrauterine growth retardation group. Results (1)Gestational age difference had no significant significance between late premature infant group and full term group ( P <0. 05 ) . The body weight[(2. 39 ± 0. 44)kg vs. (3. 21 ± 0. 43) kg] and height[(46. 51 ± 3. 22) cm vs. (50. 16 ± 2. 14) cm] in late premature infant group were still lag behind that in full term group and the difference had significant significance(P<0. 05,respectively). (2)The comparison of parameters of pulmonary function of tidal respi-ration:the TPEF/TE [ ( 41. 74 ± 10. 94 )% vs. ( 48. 17 ± 11. 79 )%] , VPEF/VE [ ( 42. 66 ± 9. 66 )% vs. (48. 31 ± 9. 94)%],VPEF[(8. 02 ± 2. 85) ml vs. (10. 23 ± 3. 56) ml] and minute ventilation[(0. 76 ± 0. 23) L/min vs. (1. 00 ± 0. 44) L/min] in late premature infant group were significantly lower than those in full term group(P<0. 05,respectively). (3)The TPEF/TE and VPEF/VE all had significant significance in both late premature infant group and full term group(late premature infant group:r=0. 958,P=0. 000; full term group:r=0. 950,P=0. 000). (4)The TPEF/TE and VPEF/VE in non-extrauterine growth retardation group were closer to those in full term group. The TPEF/TE and VPEF/VE in extrauterine growth retardation group were lower than those in non-extrauterine growth retardation group(t= -2. 775,-2. 109,P=0. 011, 0. 047). Conclusion Airway(especially small airway) resistance of late preterm infant group is higher than that of term infants. Extrauterine growth retardation influences the airway(especially small airway) resist-ance.

To evaluate the association of ealpain-10 gene UCSNP-43 polyorphism with type 2 diabetes in Chinese Han population.Meta-analysis showed that calpain-10 gene UCSNP-43 polymorphism may be associated with type 2 diabetes in Chinese Han population.Allele G and genotypo GG may be risk factors for type 2 diabetes,while allele A and genotype GA may be the protective factors.

Objective To investigate the expression of long intergenic non-protein coding RNA-regulator of reprogramming (Linc-ROR) in high-grade ovarian serous cancer, and explore the relationship between Linc-ROR expression and biological function of high-grade ovarian serous cancer. Methods A total of 34 high-grade ovarian serous cancer tissue samples and 19 normal fallopian tube tissue samples were collected between June 2014 and February 2016. Real-time reverse transcription (RT)-PCR was used to detect the Linc-ROR mRNA expression in different samples. The relationship between Linc-ROR expression level and ovarian cancer International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage, lymph node metastasis was analyzed. Constructed Linc-ROR small interference RNA (siRNA) and pIRES2-EGFP-Linc-ROR plasmid, then Linc-ROR siRNA and pIRES2-EGFP-Linc-ROR plasmid were respectively transfected into SKOV3 cells. Cell proliferation, migration and invasion ability were assessed by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), wound healing assay and transwell invasion assay. Results (1) The expression level of Linc-ROR mRNA was significantly higher in high-grade ovarian serous cancer than normal fallopian tube tissues (4.31± 0.38 vs 1.03 ± 0.21; t=25.842, P<0.01). With the progression of FIGO stages, the expression of Linc-ROR was increased (F=95.702, P<0.01), and it was associated with lymph node metastasis (t=7.397, P<0.01). (2) The results of RT-PCR showed that the expression level of linc-ROR in Linc-ROR-i group was significantly lower than that in Linc-ROR-NC-i group (0.30 ± 0.11 vs 1.02 ± 0.10; t=15.269, P<0.01). The expression level in Linc-ROR-p group was significantly higher than that in Linc-ROR-NC-p group (8.90 ± 0.45 vs 1.03 ± 0.17;t=21.934, P<0.01). The CCK-8 assay showed that when the cells were cultured for 3, 4, 5 and 6 days, the A value in Linc-ROR-i group was significantly lower than that in Linc-ROR-NC-i group (P<0.05). And the A value in Linc-ROR-p group was significantly higher than that in Linc-ROR-NC-p group (P<0.05). Wound healing assay showed that, after 48 hours incubation, migration rate of cells in Linc-ROR-i group was significantly less than that in the Linc-ROR-NC-i group [(52±4)%vs(67±5)%;t=5.720,P<0.01]. The migration of cells in Linc-ROR-p group was significantly greater than that in the Linc-ROR-NC-p group [(84±4)%vs(66±4)%;t=7.330,P<0.01]. Cell transwell invasion assay showed that, after 48 hours of incubation, the number of invasive cells in Linc-ROR-i group was lower than that in Linc-ROR-NC-i group (74 ± 3 vs 104 ± 3; t=15.810,P<0.01). And the number of invasive cells in Linc-ROR-p group was higher than that in Linc-ROR-NC-p group (217 ± 4 vs 108 ± 5; t=38.060, P<0.01). Conclusion Highly expressed Linc-ROR could enhance the proliferation, migration and invasion ability of high-grade ovarian serous cancer cells, which may be one of the important molecules in the occurrence and development, invasion and metastasis of high-grade ovarian serous cancer.

Objective To investigate the correlation between auditory steady-state response (ASSR)and behavioral audiometry threshold in deaf children.Methods A total of 63 cases (126 ears)of severely and profoundly hearing impaired children from 0.5 years to 6 years were divided to Group A of 0.5~1.0 years,Group B of 1.1~3.0 years and Group C of 3.1~6.0 years old.ASSR and behavioral hearing tests were conducted in the sound field. 0.5~1.0 years old children were tested with the behavior observation Audiometry (BOA),1~2 years old children with visual reinforcement audiometry (VRA),while those of 3 ~6 with play audiometry (PA).Results For the ASSR response thresholds and pure tone hearing thresholds at 0.5,1,2 and 4 kHz,the correlation coefficients were 0.75,0.76,0.76,and 0.83,respectively.There was a significant correlation (P <0.01 ).The hearing thresholds were generally lower than the ASSR response thresholds,and with increasing frequency,the gaps were narrowed between the two.For Group A at each frequency the response thresholds and behavioral audiometry correlations were lower than those of Group B and C with the lowest at 0.5 kHz.Conclusion For the children of 0.5~6 years, ASSR and behavioral audiometric thresholds have good correlations.ASSR can provide information about the behav-ior thresholds for young children and those high risk children and for fitting hearing aids.

Objective To investigate the effect of complementary dynamic scalp acupuncture on motor function in stroke. Methods 36 stroke patients were randomly allocated to control group (n=19) and treatment group (n=17). The control group received traditional scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation training, while the treatment group received scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation training in the same time,for one month. Their motor function and activities of daily living (ADL) were assessed with the Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT) and modified Barthel Index (MBI) before and after treatment, respectively. Results The scores of FMA, WMFT and MBI increased significantly in both groups after treatment (P<0.01). The difference of scores of FMA of the lower extremities and MBI was statistically significant between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05), while the difference of scores of FMA of the upper extremities and WMFT was not (P>0.05). Conclusion Complementary dynamic scalp acupuncture is more effective on lower limbs motor function and activities of daily living in stroke patients.

Objective To evaluate the effect of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats.Methods Fifteen male Sprague-Dawley rats, aged 8-10 weeks, weighing 250-300 g, were randomly divided into 3 groups (n =5 each) using a random number table: sham operation group (group S), hepatic I/R group (group I/R) , and group DHA.Hepatic I/R was induced by clamping the hepatic pedicle supplying the left and middle lobes of the liver for 60 min, followed by 24 h reperfusion in anesthetized rats.DHA 4 mg/kg was injected intravenously at 30 min before ischemia and 10 min of reperfusion in group DHA.The equal volume of solvent was given instead in S and I/R groups.Blood samples were taken from the inferior vena cava at 24 h of reperfusion for determination of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activities, and resolvin D1 concentrations.The rats were then sacrificed, and the livers were removed for determination of myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity (by spectrophotometry), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) mRNA expression (by quantitative real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction).The livers were cut into sections which were stained with haematoxylin and eosin, and examined under light microscope.Results Compared to group S, the serum ALT and AST activities, serum resolvin D1 concentrations, and MPO activity, and IL-6 and TNF-α mRNA expression in liver tissues were significantly increased in I/R and DHA groups (P＜0.05).Compared to group Ⅰ/R, the serum resolvin 1D1 concentrations, and MPO activity and TNF-α mRNA expression in liver tissues were significantly decreased (P＜0.05) , and no significant difference was found in the serum ALT and AST activities in group DHA (P＞0.05).There was no significant difference in pathological changes of the liver between group DHA and group I/R.Conclusion DHA can attenuate inflammatory responses during hepatic I/R, but it is not sufficient to mitigate liver injury in rats.

Objective To Btudy effect of standardized acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy (function training)on improvement of comprehensive function among patients with stroke in communities,Changning District of Shanghai.Methods One hundred and seventy-six stroke patients were divided into rehabilitation therapy group(88 cases)and control group(88 cages)with block randomization.Patients in rehabilitation therapy group were treated with standardized acupuncture combined with function training in addition to regular medical treatment,and patients in control group regular medical treatment only.All the patients were evaluated with functional comprehensive assessment(FCA)scale by the end of 2-and 5-month of treatment,respectively.Results By the end of 5-month of treatment,scores of FCA in both groups increased significantly (P＜0.01),as compared to those before treatment,more in rehabilitation therapy group than that in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions Effect of standardized acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy Can obviously improve their comprehensive function among stroke patients in communities.

Objective To compare the clinical efficacy between absolute fixation and bridging fixation in plate osteosynthesis for simple distal tibia fracture.Methods A retrospective case control study was conducted to analyze 41 patients with simple distal tibia fracture admitted to the Chongqing People's Hospital from January 2013 to November 2016.There were 24 males and 17 females,aged 24-70 years [(46.3 ± 13.1)years].According to AO/OTA classification,fractures weres was AO/OTA type 42A1 in 29 cases,type 42A2 in nine cases,type 42A3 in two cases,and type 43A1 in one case.All patients were treated with plate and screw fixation.According to the method of plate fixation,the patients were divided into the locking compression plate (LCP) absolute fixation group (14 patients),the LCP bridge fixation group (12 patients) and the LCP + dynamic double thread locking screw (DDTL) bridge fixation group (15 patients).The patients were followed up by taking anteroposterior and lateral radiographs of tibia and fibula during outpatient visits 1,2,3,6 months and 1 year after operation.The operation time,time to radiological fracture union,time to full weight bearing,callus index and complications were analyzed.Results All the patients were followed up for 12-18 months [(14.5 ± 2.0)months].In the LCP absolute fixation,LCP and LCP + DDTL groups,the operation time was (74.3 ± 15.6) minutes,(78.6 ± 20.1) minutes and (82.5 ± 24.6) minutes,respectively;the time to radiological fracture union was (4.3 ± 1.5) months,(4.5 ± 1.3) months and (4.6 ± 1.4) months,respectively;the time to full weight bearing were (3.4 ± 0.7) months,(3.5 ± 0.6) months and (3.6 ±1.1) months,respectively (all P ＞ 0.05).There was no significant difference in complication incidence among the three groups (P ＞ 0.05).However,the callus index in the LCP + DDTL group (1.19 ±0.13) was significantly higher than that of the LCP absolute fixation group (1.08 ±0.06) and that of the LCP group (1.09 ± 0.09) (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion For simple distal tibia fracture,both absolute and bridging fixation can attain good fracture union,and LCP combined with DDTL can better promote the formation of callus and facilitate the union.

Objective　To understand the impact of early and timely treatment and initial antiviral treatment regimen on mortality and attrition of antiretroviral therapy. Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted using download data on antiretroviral therapy for HIV-infected patients in Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, from the database of the Basic Information System for AIDS Control and Prevention (BISAC) from 2010 to 2020. The Cox proportional risk regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of mortality and attrition. Results A total of 15 713 infected patients were included, including 53.4% aged 18-<50 years, 69.4% male, 61.0% farmer, 75.1% CD4 count <350 cells /μL before initial antiviral treatment, the overall mortality rate was 4.30/100 person-years, and the overall attrition was 2.42/100 person-years. The results of Cox regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of mortality were pretreatment CD4 counts of 350-<500 cells/μL(AHR=0.72, 95%CI: 0.63-0.81) and ≥500 cells/μL (AHR= 0.64, 95%CI: 0.55-0.76); duration from diagnosis to initial antiviral treatment 91-180 days (AHR=1.25, 95%CI: 1.08-1.45), 181-365 days (AHR=1.26, 95%CI: 1.08-1.47), and ≥365 days (AHR=1.26, 95%CI: 1.11-1.44); initial antiviral treatment regimens of D4T+3TC+EFV/NVP (AHR=1.47, 95%CI: 1.32-1.63) and AZT/D4T/TDF+3TC+LPV/r (AHR=1.73, 95%CI: 1.50-1.99). Factors affecting attrition were pretreatment CD4 counts of 350-499 cells/μL (AHR=1.32, 95%CI: 1.16-1.50) and ≥500 cells/μL (AHR=1.28, 95%CI: 1.10-1.50); interval from HIV positivity confirmation to initial dosing ≥365 days (AHR=1.21, 95%CI: 1.04-1.40), initial antiviral treatment regimens of TDF+3TC+NVP (AHR=1.32, 95%CI: 1.13-1.55), AZT+3TC+EFV/NVP (AHR=1.43, 95%CI: 1.26-1.62) and AZT/D4T/TDF+3TC+LPV/r (AHR=1.33, 95CI%: 1.06-1.67). Conclusions　Early and timely treatment and the initial antiviral treatment regimen of TDF+3TC+EFV have good efficacy, but attention should be paid to the high risk of attrition of HIV-infected people with high CD4 count before treatment.
