1.Coats disease-like retinopathy and inherited metabolic disorders or syndromes

Coats disease is a relatively rare and idiopathic disorder characterized by retinal telangiectasia and massive intra-retinal and (or) sub-retinal lipid accumulation, resulting in complications including retinal detachment and neovascular glaucoma. Previous reports have revealed that Coats disease can be associated with other disorders, especially some inherited diseases, such as retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). Coats disease associated with other inherited disorders is generally called Coats-like retinopathy, which has some unique features that differs from the classic Coats disease, for example there is no sex and age preference, more bilateral cases, more severe cases and more genetic factors involved. Patients of Coats-like retinopathy with RP and FSHD may have mutations in Crumbs homologue gene 1 and D4Z4 genes.
2.Content Determination of Related Substances in Oxaliplatin by HPLC

OBJECTIVE:To establish the HPLC method for the determination of the related substances in oxaliplatin.METHODS:The chromatographic separation was performed on C18,and the mobile phase consisted of methyl alcohol and water(5∶95)with a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1.The column temperature was 25 ℃;the detection wavelength was 250 nm and the sample size was 20 ?L.RESULTS:A good linear relationship was obtained for oxaliplatin within the concentration range of 5~17.5 ?g?mL-1(r=0.999 9)with a limit of quantitation of 3 ng(S/N=3).The average content in 3 batches of crude drug vs.their preparations was 0.081% vs.0.15%.CONCLUSION:This method is accurate,reliable and available,and suitable for the content determination of the related substances in oxaliplatin.
3.Markov Decision Model:An Optimized Markov Model in Pharmacoeconomics

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the pros and cons of Markov decision model, an optimized Markov model and to facilitate its application in pharmacoeconomics. METHODS: The basic characteristics of Markov model were introduced and the advantage of the Markov decision model in pharmacoeconomics was analyzed by comparing it with Markov model. RESULTS & CONCLUSION: Markov decision model can evaluate the economics of drugs and treatment methods more effectively than Markov model; moreover, it can alter medication or treatment methods according to patients' specific health status.
4.Effect and mechanism of Querecetin treatment of transplanted hepatic cancer in nude mice

Objective To study the role of 1,4,5-trisphosphate inositol(IP3) and bax gene expression in inhibiting transplanted hepatocellular carcinoma of nude mice by quercetin.Methods After animals with hepatocellular carcinoma were treated with quercetin 1mg/kg/d(ip)for 3 weeks,the volume and weight of tumor was measured,and IP3,Bax mRNA,and Bax protein were assayed by IP3- Birtrak assay,RT-PCR,and Western blotting,respectively;and compard with coutrol group.Results The tumor volume and weight of animals treated with quercetin were lower than those of control[(15.8?10.1) mm3 vs.(52.3?26.5 mm3;(44.8?10.4) mg vs.(91.3?31.4) mg],IP3 content was lower than that of control[(15.9?2.8)pmol/mg protein vs(35.3?6.6)pmol/mg protein],Bax mRNA expression was not significantly different between the 2 groups[RI which was the gray degree multiply area of bax / the gray degree multiply area of ?-actin(0.64?0.12) vs.(0.56?0.15)],Bax mRNA expression was higher in group treated with quercetin than that of control[(3.16?0.95) vs.(1.37?0.48)].Conclusions Quercetin can inhibit growth of transplanted hepatocellular carcinoma of nude mice by reducing IP3 production and bax protein expression.

9.The Value of CTFC in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction Undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Effect of Adenosine Interference on CTFC

Objective To assess the value of corrected TIMI frame count(CTFC) in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) and the change of CTFC before and after adenosine interference. 10.Therapeutic effect of tripterysium glycosides combined with isotretinoin in cysticacne and its effect on related indicators

Objective To investigate the effect of tripterysium glycosides combined with isotretinoin in cysticacne and its effect on serum inflammatory factors, insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA).Methods 118 cases of cysticacne patients were divided into observation group (n=59) and control group (n=59) according to the random number table method.Patients in the control group were treated with isotretinoin capsule, while the observation group were treated with tripterysium glycosides tablets on the basis of the control group.The course of treatment was 8 weeks in two groups.Results The total efficiency of the observation group (89.83%) was higher than the control group (71.19%) (P<0.05); the number of cyst after treatment in the observation group were less than the control group (P<0.05);the serum IL-2 and IL-4 levels in the observation group after treatment reduced, and lower than the control group (P<0.05);the serum IGF-1 and DHEA levels in the observation group after treatment reduced, and lower than the control group (P <0.05); the recurrence rate of the observation group (11.86%) was lower than the control group (30.51%) (P<0.05);the adverse reactions in two groups had no statistically significant.Conclusion Tripterysium glycosides combined with isotretinoin capsule has obvious curative effect in the treatment of cysticacne patients, and can reduce the serum IL-2, IL-4 levels and IGF-1 and DHEA levels, with lower recurrence rate, fewer adverse reactions.
