2.Changes of transcutaneous oxygen pressure and transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure during altitude training
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(20):2985-2991
BACKGROUND:Generaly, higher transcutaneous oxygen pressure indicates stronger aerobic fitness. Decreased transcutaneous oxygen pressure and increased transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure reflect severe fatigue, muscle hypoxia, and poor function state.
OBJECTIVE:To observe changes in transcutaneous oxygen pressure and transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure in biceps brachi of excelent male rowing athletes during 6-week altitude training, and analyze relationship of the changes to training load.
METHODS:The training containsthreestages,i.e., before, during and after altitude training. Transcutaneous oxygen pressure and transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure were determined using PeriFlux System 5000 laser Doppler flowmetryin athletesintheresting-fasting state in the morning. Lactic acid level in athletes was determined using 6-grade load test 1 week before altitude training and 2 weeks after the end of altitude training.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Transcutaneous oxygen pressure and theratio of transcutaneous oxygen pressure to transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure showed the W-shape change, and transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure showed the V-shape change. These results suggest that the arrangement of the altitude training program is suitable, namely“reserve physical fitness at the plain stage, add amount and enhance degrees of altitude training load at the early and late stages”,andit can provide a better training load structure model for the post-altitude training. Transcutaneous oxygen pressure and transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure, in particular the ratio of them, canbeused to evaluate the degree of exercise load that athletes receive. At the same time, capilaries oxygen can be quantified by testing transcutaneous oxygen pressure.Transcutaneous oxygen pressureis recommendedas a noninvasive index to monitor changes in aerobic capacity of athletes.
3.Immunotolerance following intermingled skin transplantation
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(18):-
PUBMED Database and Vip Database were undertaken to identify relevant articles on intermingled skin transplantation. Skin cuticular layer consists of keratinocytes and dendritic cells (DCs), so the researches on intermingled skin transplantation includes the chimerism of allo-keratinocyte and the chimerism of allo-DCs. There is no study about the chimerism of allo-DCs at present. The investigations on skin microchimerism are limited to the immunotolerance induced by exogenous stem cell transplantation, and the microchimerism phenomenon has not been found in allo-skin transplantation and intermingled skin transplantation. Regulating T cells, Th3 cells and NKT cells play important roles in the induction of the immunotolerance after intermingled skin transplantation.

Objective To investigate the indication and timing of surgery for acute necrotizing pancreatitis. Methods 82 cases of acute necrotizing pancreatitis were analyzed retrospectively. 10 cases were treated non-operatively. Early operation was performed on 44 cases, while 28 cases underwent surgery on late stage. Results The overall morbidity and mortality was 24% and 18%, respectively. All 10 patients in the non-operative group were cured with a morbidity of 10%. The morbidity and mortality in the early operation group was 14% and 11%, respectively, compared with 46% and 36% of those receiving surgery on late stage(P<0.01, P<0.05). Among those in late surgery group, patients not complicating infection had significant lower morbidity and mortality rate than those suffering from severe infection or organ dysfunction(P<0.01, P<0.05). Conclusions Early operation is necessary for some severe cases. In patients with severe pancreatic necrosis surgery should be performed before severe infection occurs.

Objective To observe the effects of rapid decompression on serum level of IL-1?,IL- 6 and IL-10 in mice and investigate the role of cytokines in the pathogenesis of decompression sickness. Methods Twenty-one mice were randomly divided into rapid decompression group (14 mice) and normal control group (7 mice). Mice in the rapid decompression group were exposed to 600kPa compressed air for 60 minute, which was then rapidly decompressed to normal pressure in one minute. The serum level of IL-1?,IL- 6 and IL-10 was measured by enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay in mice in rapid decompression group after decompression and in normal control group. Results There were no significant changes in the serum level of IL-1?,IL- 6 at the 1st hour after decompression in the rapid decompression group when compared to that of and the normal control group. The serum level of IL-1?,IL- 6 in rapid decompression group at the 3rd hour after decompression was significantly higher than that of the normal control group(P

OBJECTIVETo observe the intervention effects of electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) on rats with type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), so as to provide experiment references for acupuncture to treat T2DM.
METHODSAmong seventy male Wistar clean-grade rats, 8 rats were randomly selected into a control group; the rest rats were made T2DM model. Fifty-two rats which were successfully made T2DM model, according to randomized block method, were divided into a model group (10 rats), a medication group (10 rats), an electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (11 rats), an electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group (10 rats) and an electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group (11 rats). Seven days after successful establishment of model, the rats in the model group were fixed in the self-made rat bag without receiving any treatment; the rats in the medication group, according to body mass (10 mL/kg), were treated with intragastric administration of glimepiride; the rats in all the electroacupuncture groups were treated with electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23), "Pishu" (BL 20) and "Yishu" (EX-B 3), respectively. The continuous wave was selected with a frequency of 15 Hz and a current intensity of 4 to 6 mA. The treatment was given 20 min per treatment, once a day, 5 treatments per week for continuous 4 weeks. Before the establishment of model and continuous 4 weeks after the intervention, blood samples were collected from rats' caudal vein, and fasting blood glucose (FBG) was measured with FBG device each week. After the last intervention, the rats were killed and hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal gland were collected. The colorimetric method was applied to measure the contents of triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C); radioimmunoassay was used to test the contents of glycated serum protein (GSP), fasting insulin (FINS), corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortin (CORT).
RESULTSFour weeks after the intervention, except that the rat's body mass in the normal group continued to increase, body mass in the model group, medication group and each electroacupuncture group were significantly reduced (P<0.01, P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the FBG in the electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group and electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group were obviously reduced (P<0.05, P<0.01); FBG in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group was lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (both P<0.05). The contents of TG, HDL-C and LDL-C in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group were reduced (P<0.05, P<0.01), the content of TG was significantly lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (both P<0.05), the content of LDL-C was significantly lower than that in electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (P<0.05). Insulin sensitivity index (ISI) in the medication group, electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group and electroacupuncture at "Yishu (EX-B 3)" group were evidently increased (P<0.05, P<0.01); ISI in the medication group was lower than that in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group (P<0.05). The content of CRH in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group was lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (P<0.05, P<0.01); the content of CORT in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group was lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group (both P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONElectroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) could reduce the level of CORT to improve the insulin resistance in rats with T2DM, improve insulin sensitivity index, regulate blood lipid metabolism and relieve the hyperactivity of the HPA axis.
