Objective To observe the performance of two-dimensional echocardiography and CDFI of metastatic cervical lymph nodes in nasopharyngeal carcinoma before and after induction chemotherapy, and to predict the short-term effect of the lymph nodes after sequential chemoradiotherapy. Methods Forty patients with sixty-five metastatic cervical lymph nodes which were confirmed as nasopharyngeal carcinoma by biopsy and CT were studied.CDFI was used to observe its size, the peak systolic velocity (PSV),resistivity index (RI),and record its classification of blood flow before and after induction chemotherapy, after radiotherapy 1 to 2 months for ultrasound, respectively, and the measured values and short-term effect in cervical lymph node metastasized were compared. Results According to the changes of blood supply after induction chemotherapy, lymph nodes were divided into three groups, the group of improve blood supply was given priority (55 %),blood supply to reduce and no change groups were 23 %,22%,respectively.After induction chemotherapy and sequential radiotherapy, all lymph nodes were narrow, regression rate after induction chemotherapy in blood supply to reduce, improve and no change groups were 52%,36%,25%,respectively,the regression rates of sequential chemoradiotherapy were 90%,81%,70%,respectively,among three groups are in degressive tendency, differences were significant (P < 0.05).The blood supply changes after induction chemotherapy related well with the regression rate of chemotherapy(r =0.572,P =0.000) and sequential radiotherapy(r =0.553,P =0.000).The regression rate of chemotherapy related well with the regression rate of sequential chemoradiotherapy(r =0.621,P =0.000).After chemotherapy three groups of lymph node RI decreased, the difference was significant compared with that before treatment (P < 0.05).After chemotherapy the groups to reduce and improve of PSV had significant differences compare with that before treatment (P < 0.05),the group of blood supply no change of PSV had no significant difference (P > 0.05).Conclusion Application of CDFI can clearly and accurately observe changes of metastatic cervical lymph nodes from nasopharyngeal carcinoma before and after induction chemotherapy, and the changes of blood supply and size after induction chemotherapy can predict the short-term effect after chemoradiotherapy.

Objective To observe the PML protein expression of hepatocellar carcinoma tissue and cells lines and As 2 O3 regulate its expression .Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the PML protein expression of hepatocellar carcinoma tissue . Western blot analysis were used to observe PML protein expression of hepatocellar carcinoma tissue of 12 cases ,5 hepatocellar car-cinoma cell lines ,such as HuH7 ,HepG2 ,Hep3B ,SMMC-7721 ,MHC97H .Western blot analysis was used to detected the PML pro-tein expression of these hepatocellar carcinoma cell lines after 72-96 h treated with 0 .25 μg/mL of As2 O3 .Results Immunohisch-enmical staining showed that the PML protein was expressed in both cytoplasm and nucleus ,did not well-distributed in hepatocellar carcinoma cells .There was no significant differences of PML protein expressed among differently differentiated stages of hepatocel-lar carcinoma cells .Western blot analysis found that hepatocellar carcinoma tissues of 12 cases with hepatocellar carcinoma ex-pressed PML protein ,and there was significant difference of PML protein expressed among 12 cases suffer with hepatocellar carci-noma .hepatocellar carcinoma cell lines ,such as HuH7 ,HepG2 ,Hep3B ,SMMC-7721 and MHC97H all expressed PML protein ,and there was little difference of PML protein expressed among hepatocellar carcinoma cell lines .The PML protein expression of HuH7 ,HepG2 ,Hep3B ,SMMC-7721 and MHC97H cell after 72-96 h treated with 0 .25 μg/mL of As2O3 significant decreased . Conclusion Hepatocellar carcinoma tissue and cells may express PML protein ,and As2 O3 may regulate this protein expression as well .PML protein may be the target molecule of As2 O3 treating HCC .

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of six-slice coronal reformations in patients with acute midepigastric pain. Methods A total of 974 patients with acute midepigastric pain were included in this study and divided into group A(coronal reformation)and group B(non-coronal reformation). For group A,reconstructed coronal and oblique-coronal images were acquired.A comprehensive diagnosis was made based on coronal reformations and axial planes.Anatomical nomenclature was adopted, including kidney-ureter plane, abdominal aorta plane, superior mesenteric artery plane, ascending colon-appendix plane,stomach-cholecyst plane and colon-small intestine plane. For group B,the diagnosis was made based on axial planes. Finally,a comprehensive analysis was made, missed cases in these two groups were counted and compared, and statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS software(version SPSS V17).Results For group A,the missed diagnosis was made in 12 cases(1.23%)and it was 53 cases(6.58%)for group B.There was a statistically significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Combined with axial planes or oblique coronal reformations,six-sclice coronal reformation can reduce the the rate of missed diagnosis of acute midepigastric pain.

Objective:To establish a HPLC characteristic spectrum method of Centipeda minima based on standard decoction; To evaluate the correlation of materia medica, decoction pieces, standard decoction, intermediates and formula granule; To provide a reference for the quality standard research of Centipeda minima formula granules. Methods:The materia medica, decoction pieces, standard decoction, intermediates and formula granules of Centipeda minima were analyzed by a HPLC characteristic spectrum method, and the software "Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of TCM" was employed to conform the common peaks. The clustering analysis (CA), principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) were adopted to find out the correlation of materia medica, decoction pieces, standard decoction, intermediates and formula granules of Centipeda minima. The Iconic components which can make differences was screened at the same time. Results:The characteristic chromatogram of materia medica, decoction pieces, standard decoction, intermediates and formula granules of Centipeda minima shared high similarity with the respective control chromatogram. Fourteen common peaks were confirmed, and eleven chromatographic peaks were identified. The results of CA and PCA were consistent, and the standard decoction, intermediates and formula granules of Centipeda minima were closer. Six differential components with VIP values greater than 1 were screened by OPLS-DA.Conclusions:The method is stable, accurate and characteristic. The study can provide a reference for the quality standard research of Centipeda minima Formula Granules by analyzing the correlation of characteristic spectrum of materia medica, decoction pieces, standard decoction, intermediates and formula granules.

Dirofilaria immitis (heartworm) infections affect domestic dogs, cats, and various wild mammals with increasing incidence in temperate and tropical areas. More sensitive antibody detection methodologies are required to diagnose asymptomatic dirofilariasis with low worm burdens. Applying current transcriptomic technologies would be useful to discover potential diagnostic markers for D. immitis infection. A filarial homologue of the mammalian translationally controlled tumor protein (TCTP) was initially identified by screening the assembled transcriptome of D. immitis (DiTCTP). A BLAST analysis suggested that the DiTCTP gene shared the highest similarity with TCTP from Loa loa at protein level (97%). A histidine-tagged recombinant DiTCTP protein (rDiTCTP) of 40 kDa expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) showed immunoreactivity with serum from a dog experimentally infected with heartworms. Localization studies illustrated the ubiquitous presence of rDiTCTP protein in the lateral hypodermal chords, dorsal hypodermal chord, muscle, intestine, and uterus in female adult worms. Further studies on D. immitis-derived TCTP are warranted to assess whether this filarial protein could be used for a diagnostic purpose.
