Objective To evaluate the curative effect of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)in the treatment of schistosomia-sis liver fibrosis portal hypertension combined with calculous cholecystitis. Methods The clinical data of 196 cases of schistoso-miasis liver fibrosis portal hypertension combined with calculous cholecystitis(Child A 160 cases,Child B 36 cases)treated with LC were collected and analyzed from June 2006 to June 2013. Results Among the 196 cases, there were 154 cases of schistoso-miasis liver fibrosis portal hypertension combined with chronic calculous cholecystitis, and 42 cases of schistosomiasis liver fibro-sis portal hypertension combined with acute calculous cholecystitis. Totally 189 patients underwent LC successfully, but 7 were transited to the general operation because of LC failure, including 3 cases of adhesion around gallbladder and ambiguous dissec-tion of gallbladder triangle, and 4 cases of intraoperative bleeding and the bleeding was difficult to stop under the laparoscopy. All the 196 patients were cured. Conclusion LC is effective and safe in the treatment of schistosomiasis liver fibrosis portal hyperten-sion combined with calculous cholecystitis.

Objective To compare the clinical value of ultrasound and X-ray guided percutaneous nephrolithotomy ( PCNL) for treat-ment of kidney calculi. Methods We searched relevant clinical controlled articles in PubMed,EMBASE/Cochrane library and CNKI data-base. The outcome indicators included stone clearance rate, complication rate, puncture time, blood loss, and hospital days. All data were ana-lyzed by Revman 5. 0 software. Results There were 9 articles involved in 1693 patients. The results suggested that there was no significant difference in stone clearance rate between ultrasound group and X-ray group[OR=1. 11,95%CI(0. 83,1. 49),P=0. 47]. However, the complication [OR=0. 43,95%CI (0. 27,0. 69),P=0. 0004],time to puncture[WMD= -4. 54,95%CI( -0. 45,-8. 62),P=0. 03], blood loss[WMD= -22. 77,95%CI( -36. 57,-8. 97),P=0. 001],and hospital days[WMD= -0. 16,95%CI( -0. 28,-0. 03),P=0. 02] were better in ultrasound group than those in X-ray group. Conclusion Ultrasound and X-ray guided PCNL had an equal stone clear-ance rate, but it seemed that ultrasound was better than X-ray in time to puncture and hospital days after operation. However, the results of this meta-analysis should be treated carefully because of limitation of data and heterogeneity.

Objective: to observe the protective effect of Swertia Punicea on experimental hepatic injury induced by CCl4 and BCG/LPS respectively. Methods: Mouse models of hepatic injury were induced by CCl4 and BCG/LPS. Serum levels of ALT and AST, MDA content and the pathological changes of hepatic tissue were observed. Results: Swertia Punicea obviously inhibited the rising levels of serum ALT and AST, improved the histological features and relieved hepatic edema induced by CCl4 in mice. However, it has no obvious action on the rising levels of ALT and AST induced by BCG/LPS. It also reduced MDA content and decreased the hepatic index and the splenic index. Conclusion: Swertia Punicea has antioxidation and a protective action on the chemical and immunological hepatic injury, especially on the chemical hepatic injury.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2017;49(3):383-387
Objective:To investigate the effect of equol on the proliferation of colom cancer cells and to explore the mechanisms. Methods: Colon cancer cells (DLD1,HCT15,COLO205,LOVO,SW480) were incubated, the cell proliferation was identified by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide cell proliferation assay.Reverse transcription PCR and Western blot were used to measure the mRNA and the protein expression of estrogen receptor and nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (Nrf2)in the colon cancer cells, respectively. Moreover, 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide cell proliferation assay was used to investigate the effect of estrogen receptor(ER) inhibitor,ERα agonist, and estrogen receptor ERβagonist on the cell proliferation. Results: ERα was faintly expressed in the DLD-1 and HCT-15 cells. However, ERβ expression in DLD1, HCT15, COLO205, LOVO, and SW480 colon cancer cells.Different concentrations of equol (0, 0.5, 1, 5, 10 μmol/L) significantly inhibited the growth of HCT-15 cell with the expression of ERα and ERβ.More-over, different concentrations of equol (0, 0.5, 1, 5, 10 μmol/L) significantly inhibited the growth of LOVO, and SW480 cells with the ERβ expression in a dose-dependent manner as demonstrated with a 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide cell proliferation assay.mRNA expressions of ERα and ERβ in HCT-15 were stimulated significantly.Western blotting proved that the protein expressions of ERα and ERβ increased with the increasing of equol dose. Moreover we found significant difference of Nrf2 protein expression in HCT-15 cell stimulated by different concentrationss of equol. After the similation of estrogen receptor inhibitor, ERα agonist, or ERβ agonist, we found that only dif-ferent concentrations of ERβ agonist(0, 1, 10, 100, 1 000, 10 000 nmol/L) significantly inhibited the growth of HCT-15, LOVO, and SW480 in adose-dependent manner.Estrogen receptor inhibitor and ERα agonistdid not present significant effect on the cell proliferation of HCT-15, LOVO, and SW480.Conclusion: Equol inhibited the colon cancer cell proliferation by its estrogenic activities and antioxidant activities.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and the curative effects of interventional therapy by spiral CT in rupture of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Methods 46 patients were checked by spiral CT and abdominal puncture of non-condensable blood. All the patients were treated by the transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) with iodinated oil and/or gelatin sponge. Results Characteristic findings were detected in 31 patients,of which 7 patients were chiefly detected by spiral CT. The bleeding of ruptured HCCs was controlled effectively in all the cases treated by TAE without serious complications. Conclusion Spiral CT is susceptive to the diagnosis of the ruptured HCC. TAE can be the chiefly treatment in ruptured HCC with fewer serious complications.
