1.Application of Persistent Good Preparation Practice in Hospital Manufacturing Department
China Pharmacy 1991;0(04):-
OBJECTIVE:To implement GPP persistently and consolidate the authentication result of GPP.METHODS:We introduced the specific ways for the strengthened management of production & quality in manufacturing department of our hospital after the introduction of GPP authentication.RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:Due to the improvement and practice of GPP file system, the production & quality management level was perfected and transition from human-oriented management to text management was achieved.On-line monitoring of production and quality management of preparations were strengthened by means of internal microcomputer network.Staff's enhanced cognition level on GPP facilitated the effective and comprehensive implementation of GPP throughout production, management, storage and distribution of preparations.Hence, effective and persistent GPP management has been realized in manufacturing department of our hospital.

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the necessity of clearing the pharmaceutical butyl rubber stoppers for infusion bottles before use.METHODS:Pharmaceutical butyl rubber stoppers for infusion bottles produced by manufacturer A and B were se-lected and washed at least once before a preliminary test was performed. Then product A was chosen for further test. The stoppers of two different batch numbers by manufacturer A were selected, one washed with injecting water and another not washed, all of which were used in the production of all kinds of transfusions in the hospital where the authors worked, then infusible motes in these products were measured.RESULTS:The infusible motes in the products with unwashed stoppers was not in accordance with the requirements in China Pharmacopoeia, while those with washed ones was in accordance.CONCLU_ SION:The pharmaceutical butyl rubber stoppers for infusion bottles must be washed by injecting water at least once before use to ensure the quality of the products.

OBJECTIVE:To study the cost-effectiveness of4dose regimens in treating chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic cavity pain syndrome(CP/CPPS).METHODS:A total of140patients with CP/CPPS were randomly divided into4groups:Baiyanjing tablets and tamsulosin hydrochloride modified release capsules were administered for Group A;minocycline micro pills and alfuzosin retard tablets for Group B;rexithromycin tablets and doxazosin mesylate controlled release tablets for Group C;and levofloxacin tablets and terazosin tablets for Group D.The cost-effectiveness analysis was performed using pharma?coeconomics.RESULTS:The costs for the Group A,B,C and D were268.8yuan,641.8yuan,660.8yuan and666.4yuan,respectively.The effective rates were71.4%,91.4%,88.6%and91.4%,respectively.The cost-effectiveness ratios were3.76,7.02,7.46and7.29,respectively.The incremental cost-effectiveness ratios of Group B,C and D were18.65,22.79and19.88,respectively as against Group A.CONCLUSION:The treatment cost of CP/CPPS was composed of2parts:an?tibiotics? 1 -receptor blockers.Doctors should make an optimum choice based on patients'previous medication, economic status and physical condition, etc.

OBJECTIVE: To provide the latest medicinal information for medical workers. METHODS: The drug instructions were managed using computer technology, and the inquiry service for drug information was provided in the hospital network. RESULTS & CONCLUSION: The established network bridged the communication between doctors and pharmacists, and enabled them to better understand medicinal information and prescribe medicines, and therefore serve the patients better.

Objective To investigate the effect of enteral microecopharmaceutics nutrition supplement (EMN) on incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia complications, inflammatory responses, and prognoses in patients with severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI) undergoing ventilator therapy. Methods From January 2016 to September 2017,70 patients with sTBI were randomly divided into an experimental group (EMN supplement,n=35) and a control group (n=35).Early enteral nutrition was given to patients from both groups, and bifidobacterium viable capsule was given to patients from the experimental group.Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) scores, acute physiological and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) II scores, number of white blood cells (WBC),proportion of neutrophil (N),and serum levels of procalcitonin (PCT) and C-reactive protein (CRP) were compared between the two groups on admission and 14 d after treatment. The incidence of VAP and clinical pulmonary infection scale (CPIS) scores, pulmonary function, mechanical ventilation time and hospital stays were compared 14 d after treatment. Results The incidence of VAP in the experimental group (n=17,51%) 14 d after EMN supplement was significantly lower as compared with that in the control group (n=22,63%,P<0.05).Meanwhile,VAP patients from the experimental group had significantly lower CPIS scores as compared with patients from control group (P<0.05).Ventilator weaning was achieved in 29 patients from experimental group (83%) and 24 patients from control group (69%),with significant difference (P<0.05);ventilator weaning patients from the experimental group had significantly improved lung function as compared with ventilator weaning patients from control group (P<0.05).WBC number,N proportion, and serum PCT and CRP levels in the experimental group were significantly smaller/decreased as compared with those in the control group (P<0.05).As compared with patients from control group, patients from the experimental group had significantly higher GCS scores (8.35±0.51 vs.9.48±0.48,P<0.05) and significantly lower APACHE II scores (12.58±0.78 vs.14.68±0.97,P<0.05).Conclusion EMN supplement can effectively reduce the VAP incidence, alleviate the degree of infection and inflammatory response in patients with sTBI undergoing ventilator therapy, therefore, improve the prognosis;this method is worth of promotion.
