The pathogenesis of migraine is not fully understood as yet. Recently, with the development of ultrasonography, some stud-ies indicated that the prevalence of right-to-left shunt (RLS) seemed to be higher in migraine, especially in migraine with aura. The progress in the relationship between migraine and RLS was reviewed.

Angiogenic factors possess the function of angiogenesis.The relationship between the angiogenic factors and the treatment of ischemic diseases is attracting increasing attention.The present article reviewed the progresses of angiogenic factors in the treatment of cerebral ischemia.

Aspirin is widely used for the prophylaxis of ischemic events in patients with atherothrombotic complications or in populations with high risk of thrombotic events.However,despite the treatment of aspirin some patients experience thrombotic events,such as stroke.So the concept of "aspirin resistance" has been put forward.The mechanism of aspirin resistance is discussed in this article.
