Objective] The pathogenesis of HuangQin Tang is discussed little in six meridians syndrome differentiation, and which meridian syndrome does it belong to isn’t clear. So this article tries to discuss the belonging and pathogenesis of it. And the key point of using it in clinic will also be involved.[Method] Combining the observation of efficacy of XiaoChaiHu Tang and HuangQin Tang and the elaboration articles are related to that two prescriptions to analyze the difference of that two prescriptions in pathogenesis.[Result]It’s found that HuangQin Tang and XiaoChaiHu Tang all belong to ShaoYin in six meridian syndrome. But their pathogenesis is different. HuangQin Tang should be used in heat syndrome of ShaoYang disease which caused by heat pathogen of ShaoYang meridian and diarrhea will appear because belly is shocked. However, XiaoChaiHu Tang is used to drive cold pathogen of ShaoYang meridian. [Conclusion]Both of HuangQin Tang and XiaoChaiHu Tang belong to ShaoYang Meridian, but it’s known that HuangQin Tang is used less. And less discussion of HuangQin Tang should be blamed. The more we know on pathogenesis of HuangQin Tang, the better we use it.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2006;26(4):408-10
A persistent infection model was established after human hepatoma cells infected by Japanese encephalitis viruses were subcultured for several times. Viral titers of mutant viruses in persistently infected cells were examined by plaque methods using BHK cells. Nucleotides of the E coding region of two wild and two mutant viruses were amplified by RT-PCR. PCR products were sequenced by ABI-PRSM 310 sequencing system. Compared to JaGAr-01 wild strains, four amino acids were replaced (E61Tyr --> Asp, E219His --> Tyr, E384Val --> Glu, E418Pro --> Ala) in the E sequence of JaGAr-01 persistently-infected mutant strains. Eleven amino acid replacement (E51Arg --> Ser, E61Tyr --> Asp, E83Lys --> Glu, E123Ser --> Arg, E209Arg --> Lys, E227Pro --> Ser, E276Asp --> Ser, E290Arg --> Lys, E387Lys --> Arg, E418Leu --> Pro, E454Arg --> Gly) was also noted when we compared the E sequence between persistently infected Nakayama and its wild strains. A lot of similarities of amino acid sequence between mutant strains JaGAr-01 and Nakayama were also noted. It was concluded that geno-variation existed in E region of mutant viruses and the mutant protein encoded by E region, especially the mutation of E61 (Tyr --> Asp) may contribute to the maintenance of the persistent infection of Japanese encephalitis virus.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(33):5341-5345
BACKGROUND:The diagnosis of osteoporosis depends upon the bone mineral density T-score of ≤ -2.5 standard deviation or brittle fractures. Bone mineral density measurement combined with vertebral fracture assessment might prevent the missed diagnosis of osteoporosis due to bone mineral density evaluation alone, and improve the diagnosis rate of osteoporosis.
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of bone mineral density measurements combined with vertebral fracture assessment for the diagnosis of osteoporosis.
METHODS:Bone mineral density measurements of proximal femur and vertebral fracture assessment for lateral thoraco-lumbar images were consecutively done for 217 postmenopausal women who aged ≥ 50 years. The rate of osteoporosis diagnosed with bone mineral density T score was compared with that diagnosed with bone mineral density combined with vertebral fracture assessment. The effects of bone mineral density on the vertebral fracture were analyzed.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:92 (42.4%) patients had bone mineral density T score ≤ -2.5, which met the threshold for diagnosis of osteoporosis. 102 (47.0%) patients had osteopanic (-1>T>-2.5) and 23 (10.6%) had normal range of bone mineral density. 158 patients had no vertebral fractures and 59 (27.2%) patients had 101 vertebral fractures. The vertebral fracture rate was 21.6%in the patients with bone mineral density T> -2.5 and 34.8%in the patients with bone mineral density T ≤ -2.5, with significant differences (P<0.05). Bone mineral density in combination with vertebral fracture assessment for the diagnosis rate of osteoporosis was up to 54.8%, which was significantly higher than the rate diagnosed with only bone mineral density (12.4%;P=0.01). Bone mineral density measurement combined with vertebral fracture assessment improves the diagnosis of osteoporosis for postmenopausal women.

Objective To investigate the effect of cyclosporine A (CsA) on autophagylysosomal pathway in tubular epithelial cells. Methods Human renal tubular epithelial cell line (HK-2 cell) was treated with different concentrations (3,5 and 10 μmol/L) of CsA for 24 h.Then the viability and apoptosis of cells were measured by MTT assay or AnnexinV-PI staining followed by flow cytometry analysis,respectively.Autophagy-related protein LC3-Ⅱ and p62 were detected by immunofluorescence assay.Autophagic flux was analyzed in HK-2 cells transfected with a tandem mRFP-GFP fluorescent-tagged LC3 (ffLC3) plasmid by laser confocal microscope. The lysosomal degradation was evaluated by DQ-ovalbumin staining followed by flow cytometry analysis. Results The viability of HK-2 cells was significantly decreased with CsA stimulation when compared with control group (P < 0.01),but the number of apoptotic cells was markedly increased by CsA treatment (P < 0.05).Compared with the control group, different doses of CsA dramatically increased the expressions of LC3-Ⅱ (P < 0.01) and p62 (P < 0.05) in HK-2 cells.Moreover,HK-2 cells treated with CsA displayed a significant increase in autophagosomes but a marked decrease in autolysosomes. In HK-2 cells, exposured to CsA caused a decrease in lysosomal degradation by DQ-ovalbumin staining when compared with control group (P < 0.01).Conclusion Blockade of autophagy via disrupting lysosome degradation may represent a novel mechanism of CsA-induced tubular epithelial cells injury.
