Objective To compare the planning quality and acute toxicity between RapidArc and fixed gantry angle dynamic intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) in the postoperative radiotherapy for cervical cancer patients. Methods All 35 patients with cervical cancer who had received postoperative radiotherapy were studied, including 17 patients with RapidArc and 18 patients with IMRT.All plans were prescribed 50 Gy in 25 fractions. The dose-volume histogram data, the conformity index and homogeneity index of the targets, the monitor units (MUs) and delivery time were compared.During the treatment, the incidence of acute intestinal and bladder side effects were also compared. Results Compared to IMRT,the conformity index of RapidArc was better(t =3.13,P < 0.05),but the homogeneity index was slightly worse (t =-4.25,P < 0.05).The V20 and V30 of femoral head planned by RapidArc was significantly lower than that by IMRT (t =2.56,2.34,P < 0.05).The mean MU for RapidArc was reduced by 52.1% compared with IMRT.The mean treatment time for RapidArc was decreased by 46.8% compared with IMRT.There was no difference in the incidence of acute intestinal and bladder toxicity between the two groups. Conclusion For patients with cervical cancer who need prophylactic postoperative radiotherapy, both RapidArc and IMRT plan can achieve equal target coverage and organs at risk(OAR) sparing. There is no significant difference in dosimetric parameters and acute toxicity between the two groups.Compared with IMRT,RapidArc plan has fewer MUs and less treatment time and significantly improves the treatment efficiency.

Objective To compare the efficacy of different models of attention rehabilitation on attention deficits after acquired brain injury. Methods According to the training models, 47 patients with attention deficits were randomly assigned to 3 groups: computer-assisted training group(n=16), face-to-face training group(n=21) and control group(n=10). The training groups were given attention training once a day which sustained 30 minutes for 6 weeks. All patients were tested with the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and the Loewenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment Battery (LOTCA) before and 6 weeks after the rehabilitation. Results The performance of both the computer-assisted training group and the face-to-face training group significantly improved (P<0.05). The various of the scores was the most in the computer-assisted training group among them (P<0.05). Conclusion The computer-assisted training is a high-effective method for attention deficits.

Contracture and spasticity of ankle joints were major sources of disability in neurological impairment including stroke and cerebral palsy, etc. The manual stretching used in physical therapy might be laborious and time-consuming to the therapists and the outcome was dependent on the experience and the subjectiveend feelingof the therapists. A device was developed that could safely stretch the an-kle joint to its extreme positions with quantitative control of the resistance torque and stretching velocity. Furthermore, it could satisfy a strong need for quantitative and objective measures of the impairment and rehabilitation outcome. This was just the meaning intelligent stretching referred to. This article described the origin of the concept of intelligent stretching and its definition, operational principle, and su-periority and weakness, as well as its application in ankle joint spasticity and contracture in patients with stroke and cerebral palsy.

Aging begins in the early stages of life and is an irreversible process in which wide-ranging and gradual functional declines occur with age in various organs of the body.Vascular aging, as a part of the overall aging process, plays an important role in the occurrence and development of vascular senescence-related diseases.Autophagy maintains homeostasis of the intracellular environment via degradation of damaged, denatured, or senescent proteins and organelles.Studies have found that basal autophagy is critical in regulating normal vascular function. However, abnormal autophagy may contribute to vascular aging and diseases associated with it.The purpose of this paper is to review recent progress on autophagy in vascular aging and its related diseases.

Objective To compare the efficacy of different rehabilitation models on acalculia after acquired brain injury. Methods 113 cases were randomly assigned to 3 groups: control group(n=37), computer-assisted training group(n=38) and face-to-face training group(n=38). The control group just received cognitive dysfunction evaluation. The training groups received cognitive rehabilitation training 5 days a week and 30 minutes a day which sustained for 6 weeks. And 33 patients were selected to prolong for 12 weeks. They were evaluated with Revised EC301Calculation and Number Processing Battery in Chinese version (EC301-CR) at the beginning, the 6th week point and the 12th week point respectively. Results 6-week after treatment, The performance of both the computer-assisted training group and face-to-face training group significantly improved(P<0.001); It showed that computer-assisted group>face-to-face group>control group(P<0.001) both 6 weeks and 12 weeks latter. Significant negative correlation was found between age and performance of EC301-CR(P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of computer-assisted training on acalculia is superior to face-to-face training; The first 6 weeks of training is the best period for rehabilitation; The younger the patient is, the better results are.
