Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of narirutin, limonin, honokiol and mag-nolol in Zhishi Xiaopi pills. Methods:The separation was performed on a Shim-pack VP-ODS C18(250 mm ×4.6 mm,5 μm)column with the mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile–methanol(1 ∶2) (A) and water (B) with gradient elution. The flow rate was 1. 0 ml ·min-1 . The column temperature was 30℃. All the injection volume was 20 μl. Narirutin, limonin, honokiol and magnolol was de-tected at 283 nm, 210 nm, 294 nm and 294 nm, respectively. Results:Narirutin, limonin, honokiol and magnolol had good linearity within the concentration range of 5. 26-105. 20 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 8), 7. 65-153. 00 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 4), 6. 21-124. 20 μg· ml-1(r=0.999 3)and 6.45-129.00 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 6), respectively; the average recovery was 99.00%(RSD=0.77%), 98. 17%(RSD=1. 19%), 98. 78%(RSD=0. 86%) and 97. 90%(RSD=0. 99%), respectively. Conclusion: The method is sim-ple, rapid and reliable, which can be used for the quality control of Zhishi Xiaopi pills.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of spiral stone dislodger combined with pneumatic lithotriptor under ureteroscopy for managing upper ureteral stones. Methods 106 patients with upper ureteral stones with spiral stone dislodger combined with pneumatic lithotriptor under ureteroscopy were treated. The transverse diameter of the stones was 4～12mm and the vertical length 6～15mm. Results 87.7% (93/106) stones were fragmented for one session of treatment. 8 cases were pushed upward then undergoing extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL) after surgical operations. Operations in 5 cases had to be changed to open surgery,and ureteral perforations happened in 1 case. Conclusion Successful entrance of the uretersocop is a prerequisite for crushing the stone,appropriate fixation of the stone is the key to their crushing,spiral stone dislodger is an effective means of fixing ureteral stones.

Plant growth retardant as one of plant growth regulator can inhibit the cell division, elongation and growth rate in shoot apical meristem (SAM), which can be reversed by gibberellin regulate the product of photosynthesis transfer to the root and rhizome part. As commonly used plant growth retardant, paclobutrazol, uniconazole, chlorocholine chloride, mepiquat chloride, choline chloride and daminozide are used to promote the growth of root and rhizome, call as "zhuanggenling", "pengdasu", "pengdaji" etc. Single or recombination of plant growth regulator is registered as pesticide, and called as pesticide "zhuanggenling" in this paper. Growth regulator which registered as a foliar fertilizer or fertilization was called agricultural fertilizer "zhuanggenling" in this paper. The author investigate the usage of "zhuanggenling" in the root and rhizome of medicinal plants cultivation from 2012 to 2014 in Sichuan province, Huangyuan town, Mianyang (Ophiopogonis Radix); Pengzhou Aoping town (Chuanxiong Rhizoma); Pengshan Xiejia town (Alismatis Rhizoma); Jiangyou Taiping town and Zhangming town (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata); Yunnan Wenshan (Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma); Henan province, Wuzhidafeng Town (Rehmanniae Radix, Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, Dioscoreae Rhizoma); Gansu Min county (Codonopsis Radix, Angelicae Sinensis Radix); Gansu Li county (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma). The result showed that "zhuanggenling" were applied in the most medicinal plant cultivation except Rhei Radix et Rhizoma. It has been applied widespreadly in Ophiopogonis Radix, Alismatis Rhizoma, Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, Codonopsis Radix; Rehmanniae Radix, commonly in Angelicae Sinensis Radix application, and occasionally in Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma and Dioscoreae Rhizoma. In 53 collected sample from plantation areas, fifteen (28%) were pesticide "zhuanggenling", thirty-eight (72%) were pesticide "zhuanggenling". UPLC analysis results showed that 38 farmers fertilizer "zhuanggenling" content of 6 kinds of plant growth retardant. It is regarded that fertilizer "zhuanggenling" was dominant in medicinal plant cultivation, and that the plant growth retardant is added widespreadly in farm fertilizer "zhuanggenling". All evidence proves conclusively that "zhuanggenling" have been used in the proper way, whereas some others have been misused or even abused in the use regarding to type, number, use frequency. The root or rhizoma are increased to 20%-200%. But there is lack of evaluation to appraise the quality of medicinal materials from the aspects of research or industry. AIM To establish the UPLC fingerprints of Bushen Qiangshen Tablets (Epimedii Folium,Cuscutae Semen,Rosae Laevigatae Fructus,etc.).METHODS The analysis of 50％ ethanol extract of this drug was performed on a 40 ℃ thermostatic Agilent SB-C18 column (100 mm ×4.6 mm,2.7 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of acetonitrile-0.1％ phosphoric acid flowing at 0.5 mL/min in a gradient elution manner,and the detection wavelength was set at 215 nm.Then the fringerprints were evaluated by cluster analysis,principal components analysis and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis.RESULTS There were twenty common peaks in the UPLC fingerprints of twelve batches of samples,nine of which (protocatechuic acid,salidroside,chlorogenic acid,hyperin,specnuezhenide,epimedin C,icariin,kaempferide and baohuoside Ⅰ) were identified,with the similarities of 0.843-0.970.Twelve batches of samples could be divided into three types,and four differential markers,including specnuezhenide and chlorogenic acid,were found out.CONCLUSION This simple and reliable method can be used for the quality control of Bushen Qiangshen Tablets.

Objective To prepare the flurbiprofen orally disintegrating tablets and establish the procedures of controlling the quality.Methods Flurbiprofen orally disintegrating tablets was prepared by wet granulation and it content was determined by HPLC.Results The obtained tablets were fine in the shape and smooth in the surface.Their hardness was 2 kg,the disintegrating time was about 30 s.The linear correlation was in a range of 1.0-10.0 ?g/ml,r=0.999 9.The average recovery was 99.32%,RSD=1.09%(n=7).Conclusion Our methods of flurbiprofen orally disintegrating tablets are simple and feasible in preparation and quality control.

BACKGROUND:In oral warm and moisture circumstance, al oy which contains Be is easily to be eroded to release Be2+. But there is stil no research focusing on beryl ium influence on genotype of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. OBJECTIVE:To investigate Be 2+effect on genotype of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. METHODS:The revived Porphyromonas gingivalis was resuscitated for 48 hours in the anaerobic culture medium with different concentration of Be 2+(10×10-6, 5×10-6, 1.25×10-6). Through PCR amplification and sequencing, we investigated the effects of Be2+RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) When Be on genotypes of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. 2+concentration was 5×10-6, we found the peak of 217 and 257 sites on DNA sequence expressing G/A overlap peak, different from G single peak of the other groups, suggesting the suspicious bases changes, part of the single base G mutated into A. (2) On al concentrations, we found a base group composed of seven A bases was inserted into the 101 site of DNA sequence. Up to now, there is no direct contacts of the mutations occurring to Be2+concentration. Changes of gene may lead to the shifting of the reading frame, the abnormal synthesis of proteins, the change of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimA gene toxicity, and lastly the unbalance of the micro-ecological environment.

Objective To analyze the hospitalization expenses of cancer patients covered with byitem payment and quota payment packages,and probe into the impacts on such expenses for the two payment packages.Methods Inpatient records of 600 cancer patients were sampled by random from the medical insurance databases of Zhengzhou and Fuzhou to learn their hospitalization expenses and impact factors.Results Under the by-item payment package,the expenses of urban workers’ medical insurance were found higher than those of urban residents' medical insurance,with a per capita expense of RMB 32747.70 ± 32035.01 and 23035.83 ± 22875.65 respectively.Under the quota payment package however,there were no significant differences between expenses of the two kinds of inpatients,with a per capita expense of RMB 66043.41±47562.09 and 66576.54±73417.29 respectively.Conclusion There are gaps of reimbursement level between the two basic insurance schemes,which may not disappear in a short time.Under the by-item payment package,the gap exists in the difference of perreimbursement amount; under the quota payment package,the gap is negligible between the two populations under different insurance schemes.It is recommended to make reasonable use of these different payment schemes to minimize the relative gaps in medical service accessibility caused by the difference in reimbursement level.

AIM: To study the effects of WT1 peptide-loaded dendritic cells (DC) stimulating the cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) on K562 cells in vitro. METHODS: DC were generated from normal human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) in the presence of granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF), interleukin-4 (IL-4) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-?) , DC were cultured with WT1 peptides , and then triggered T cells into specific CTL. RESULTS: Most suspended cells exhibited distinctive morphological features of DCs and they stimulated proliferation of allogenic lymphocytes. Under the effector : target ratio of ~20∶1 , CTLs derived from cultures with DC and WT1 peptides were showed 86.1%?26.8% cytotoxicity against K562 cells, cytotoxicity by CTLs derived from cultures with unloaded DC against K562 cells were 47.1%?20.8% and cytotoxicity by lymphocytes were 27.7%?15.3%. AIM: To observe the activity and distribution of astrocytes and glial fibrillary acid protein(GFAP) after middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). METHODS: The rat MCAO model was made by two-kidney, tow clip renovascular hypertensive rat stroke prone(RHRSP). Rats were killed and brain samples were collected at the end of 1,3,6 and 9 weeks after MCAO, respectively. The ultrastructure of astrocytes was determined at broder of infarct (A area); distant of infarct (B area) and opposite of hemisphere (C area) by electron microscope. The number and optical density of GFAP-positive cells were also observed. RESULTS: The astrocyte proliferation distributed in the whole brain after MCAO. The highest numbers of GFAP-positive cells were observed at A area, then B area. The lowest numbers of GFAP positive cells were found in C area. The time course of GFAP-positive cell change was that the highest number was observed at 1 week after MCAO, then decreased by time from 3, 6 weeks to 9 weeks. The optical density of GFAP-positive cells showed the same patterns. CONCLUSION: The correlation between astrocyte proliferation and tissue damage after MCAO can be estimated by GFAP expression. The astrocyte proliferation plays an important role in healing process after MCAO.

Objective To review the treatment of repair gastroschisis with autogenous umbilical cord and evaluate its effect. Methods Thirty newborns who underwent the repair gastroschisis with autogenous umbilical cord between August 1992 to October 2007, 26 cases survived under observed and followed-up, observing physical growth, intelligence measuring and whether the area of operated in abdomen need staged repair or not. Compared with 15 cases who underwent traditional operation method at the same time. Results Two cases died, 2 cases abandoned, and 26 ease received survive (survive rate 86.7%)and their growth was well in 26 cases. But in those 15 cases who underwent traditional operation method, 5 cases survived (survive rate 33.3%). There were significant difference in the survive rate, the mean operative time and postoperative hospital stay time between the two operation methods (P <0.05).Conclusion The material is adopted easily in the operation, autogenous umbilical cord is elastic tissue and no toxicity, it can relax the abdominal press effectively after the operation, the survive rate is high.
