3.Dispute and consensus about surgical approaches and lymph nodes excisional area of esophageal carcinoma.
Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2011;14(9):667-670
Surgical approaches for esophageal carcinoma are many and varied. Minimally invasive techniques are increasingly used widely in esophagectomy as they not only ensure patients' therapeutic effects, but also reduce trauma and accelerate recovery. The lymph nodes excisional area of esophageal carcinoma is still in controversy. It is necessary to carry out further researches on selective lymph nodes excision, which can decrease complication rate and improve patients' survival in the meantime.

Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2003;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the significance of anticentromere antibody(ACA)in patients with primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC).Method ACA was detected using indirect immunofluorescence(IIF)in 99 patients with PBC,and the difference was compared between patients with and without ACA.Results Fifty-three patients(53.5%)had ACA in serum. The average age of onset was elder in patients with ACA than in patients without ACA[(52.6?1.5)vs(46.2?2.0),P=0.012].There was no significant difference in sex ratio between the two groups.Incidence of gastrointestinal bleeding was higher in patients with than without ACA (13.2% vs 0,P=0.014).Difference was not significant in symptoms such as fatigue, pruritus, icterus, etc. Though it didn't reach statistically significant, the incidence of esophageal varices was higher in patients with ACA than without ACA(45.8% vs 10.0% respectively,P=0.061).There was no significant difference in diam- eter of portal vein, splenomegaly, ascites.Biochemically only serum total protein reached statistical significance between the two groups[(73.3+1.1)g/L vs(78.1+l.7)g/L respectively,P=0.017].Patients with ACA had low- er serum IgG than ACA negative patients[(15.1?0.6)g/L vs(18.4?1.0)g/L respectively,P=0.006].Nuclear envelope pattern(NE),one of the patterns of ANA,was rare in ACA positive group than ACA negative group (16.7% vs 50.0% respectively,P=0.002).Conclusion The prevalence of ACA is high in patients with PBC. Patients with ACA have high risk of oesophageal varices and gastrointestinal bleeding.Nuclear envelope pat- tern of ANA is rare in patients with ACA.
6.Safety location of bony tunnel in coraco-clavicular ligament reconstruction: a digital anatomical study
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2014;16(4):329-333
Objective To determine the safety location of the bony tunnel in reconstruction of the coracoclavicular ligaments on the basis of digital characterization of the anatomy of the clavicle and coracoid process. Methods Unilateral shoulder spiral CT scan was conducted in 30 patients without injury to the clavicle or coracoid process. They were 15 men and 15 women, aged from 20 to 71 years old (average,49.3 years).Thirty 3D digital models of the clavicle and coracoid process were constructed using the CT scan data by Mimics13.0.Half of the models were of the left shoulder and half of the right.Anatomic measurements of the clavicle and coracoid process were carried out on these models.Virtual transclavicular-transcoracoid bony tunnels were established according to the anatomy of the conoid ligament.Parameters of these bony tunnels were measured before the safety location was calculated. Results The mean clavicular length was 147.70 ± 5.34 mm in males and 133.09 ± 6.61 mm in females; the distance between the lateral edge of the clavicle and the center of the conoid tuberosity (CCD) was 35.90 ± 3.16 mm in males and 30.48 ± 0.54 mm in females; the distance between the lateral edge of the clavicle and the center of the trapezoid tuberosity (CTD) was 22.68 ± 1.23 mm in males and 18.69 ± 1.65 mm in females, with significant differences between genders (P < 0.05).There were no significant differences between male and female regarding the ratio of the CCD to the clavicular length, the ratio of CTD to the clavicular length,or the mean internal rotational angle of the coracoid process (P > 0.05).According the attachments of the conoid ligament on the clavicle and coracoid, from the superior-posterior edge of the clavicle to the anterior midpoint of the coracoid basement, the bony tunnels were established. These tunnels nearly bisected the cross section of the clavicle and coracoid basement,35.23° ± 2.36° medially inclined to the sagittal section and 5.91° ± 2.14° posteriorly inclined to the coronal section of the body. Conclusions To ensure that the bony tunnel should pass through the center of the clavicle and coracoid,it should be drilled from the superior-posterior edge of the clavicle and located at the clavicular attachment of the conoid ligament, tilting about 35° medially and 6° posteriorly to aim at the anterior midpoint of the coracoid basement.

Chinese Journal of Infectious Diseases 2001;0(03):-
Objective To study the relationship between HAI and HBsAg, HCV in HCC, pericarcinomatous tissues. Methods The patterns of HBsAg and HCV in 100 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and their surrounding liver tissues were studied on paraffin-embeded sections with immunohistochemistry technique, and pericarcinomatous tissues were scored in Knodell’s histological activity index(HAI). Results The score of HAI in the group of co-infection of HBV, HCV is the highest in the four groups(12.62?3.88). The score of HAI in the group which is not infected by HBV, HCV is the lowest in the four groups(6.67?2.58). HBV, HCV virus infection were positively correlated with HAI(rs=0.39,P=0.0001). HBsAg and HCV were detected both in HCC and pericarcinomatous tissues. The positive rate of HBsAg in Pericarcinomatous Tissues(79%) was higher than that of in HCC tissues(23%). HCV expressions in HCC(15%) and pericarcinomatous tissues(23%) had no differences. Conclusions As for the tissues of liver cancer with virus infection background, the HAI is obviously higher than that without virus infection background. HBV, HCV virus infection were correlated with HAI significantly, perennial virusemia will aggravate pathological changes of liver tissue.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Yangfei Ziyin Decoction (YZD) on symptoms, serum levels of TNF-alpha, IL-6, and aquaporin-5 (AQP-5), and pathology of Sj6gren's syndrome (SS) model mice.
METHODSTotally 60 mice were divided into 6 groups according to random digit table, i.e., the model group, the normal control group, the high, medium, low dose YZD groups (administered with YZD at 36.7, 18.4, 9.2 g/kg, 0.2 mL/10 g), the Chinese patent medicine group [CPM, administered with total glucosides of paeony at 0.6 g/kg], 10 mice in each group. All intervention was performed for six successive days in a week, with an interval of one day, a total of 50 days. Body weight, salivary secretion, food and water intake were measured at day10, 20, 30, 40, and 50, respectively. At day 50 blood was collected. Submandibular gland, thymus, and spleen were weighed. Serum levels of TNF-alpha, IL-6, and AQP-5 were detected by ELISA. Pathological changes of submandibular gland were observed. Results Compared with the normal control group, there was no change in water intake of mice in the model group, but with reduced salivary secretion (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). Thymus/spleen/submandibular gland weight and index increased in the model group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). Compared with the model group at the same time point, salivary secretion increased in the CPM group and 3 YZD groups (P < 0.01 , P < 0.05). Compared with the model group, thymus/spleen/submandibular gland weight and index decreased in the CPM group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). Thymus/submandibular gland weight and index decreased in the low dose YZD group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). Thymus/submandibular gland weight and index, and spleen index decreased in high and medium dose YZD groups (P < 0.01 , P < 0.05). Levels of TNF-alpha and IL-6 decreased, but AQP-5 level increased in the CPM group (P < 0.05). AQP-5 level increased in high and medium dose YZD groups (P < 0.01 , P < 0.05). In the model group alveoli and duct of salivary gland were destroyed, alveoli and duct were irregular, epithelial cells were degenerated, necrotic, and desquamated. Mild-to-moderate lymphocytic infiltration occurred around submandibular gland. Pathological changes were alleviated in the CPM group and 3 YZD groups.
CONCLUSIONYZD could improve clinical symptoms, serum levels of TNF-alpha, IL-6, AQP-5, and pathological changes of SS model mice.
