1.A study on the mRNA expression of the glucose transporter gene in the diabetic rats
Chinese Journal of Diabetes 1993;0(00):-
The study was proceeded on the mRNA expression of the GULT1 and GLUT4 gene in the alloxan diabetic rats by the technique of dot-blot hybridization analysis. The results showed that the levels of the GLUT4 mRNA expression were reduced in diabetic rats while increased in insulin treated diabetic rats. This suggests that the reduced GLUT4 mRNA expression which could affect the quantity of its posttranslational products may be one of the causes of the insulin resistance.

4.Study on the correlation between plasma homocysteine, folate acid and vitamin B12 levels and vascular de-mentia
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2014;(7):982-983,984
Objective To study on the correlation between plasma homocysteine (Hcy),folate acid(FA) and vitamin B12(VitB12) levels and vascular dementia (VD).Methods To measure plasma Hcy, FA and vitamin B12 in 96 patients with VD ,in 152 non-dementia cerebrovascular disease ( NDCVD ) and in 80 normal controls re-spectively,and results werw compared between each two groups by using student test .Cognitive status was evaluar by using mini mentai state examination(MMSE).The effect of Hcy,FA and VitB12 on VD and its cognitive function were analyzed. Results The levels of plasma Hcy in VD and NDCVD were higher than those in normal control grop ,and there was significantly difference (t=3.26,3.14,all P<0.01),and the best high one is VD;The levels of plasma FA and VitB12 in VD and NDCVD were lower than those in normal control grop ,and there was significantly difference ( t=3.16,2.98,3.21,2.91,all P<0.01),and the best low one is VD.The levels of plasma Hcy concentrations were in-creased and MMSE scores were decreased with severity of dementia , and there were negative correlation between MMSE scores and plasma Hcy concentrations (r=-0.69,P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of plasma Hcy corre-lated with VD.High-Hcy is one of possible rise factor for VD in senior .Both low-FA and low-VitB12 were indirect fac-tors for VD.
5.Research of procalcitonin in the inflammatory response following cardiopulmonary bypass
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(11):-
Procalcitonin (PCT) detection is a diagnostic tool for the differential diagnosis of bacterial or non-bacterial infections complicated by a systemic inflammatory response. Recent research in the cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB)suggests PCT level reflect the systemic inflammation following CPB. Measurement of PCT may help to identify the patients with high-risk who may be benefited from specific treatment administered and intensified monitoring provided, so as to reduce the surgical complications.

7.Heat shock protein and cardioprotection
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(09):-
The defense mechinism of heat shock protein(HSP)acting as moleculars chaperons requires heat shock transcription factors as the primary mediators of the heat shock response.Increased expression of HSP may protect the heart.Overexpression of HSP can inhibit cardiomyocyte apoptosis, protect the integrity of the microtubules and the actin cytoskeleton in cardiac myocytes and endothelial cells exposed to ischemia, participate in the folding and activation of protein kinases and transcription factors such as HIF-1? and HSF1,bind to endothelial nitric oxide synthase(Enos) and stimulate its activity, and downregulate cytokine production.Hence,it is of benefit to efficiently elevate HSP expression in myocardium using pharmacological and/or gene therapy procedures without any adverse effect.
8.Clinical implications of serum ferritin concentration in patients with impaired glucose tolerance
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(06):-
Objective: To investigate the relationship between the serum ferritin concentration and insulin resistance in patients with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT).Methods: The serum ferritin concentration and insulin levels were measured in 40 IGT patients(20 with normal body weight and 20 with obesity),and 40 healthy controls.Blood glucose levels,HbA1C,blood adipose and urine protein concentration were obtained simultaneously. Results: In the IGT patients, the serum ferritin concentration was correlated with Hba1c but not with any other indexes, and it was significantly higher than in the normal controls.Significant differences were observed between the two groups in all the indexes but the fasting insulin level. Conclusion: The serum ferritin concentration increases in IGT patients, which implicates some association of ferritin with glucose metabolism and insulin resistance.
9.Study on Combination of Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy in Diagnosis and Treatment of Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich Syndrome : Report of 23 Cases
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2017;17(6):498-500
Objective To explore the efficacy of hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome (HWWS).Methods The clinical data of 23 patients with HWWS from January 2009 to December 2015 treated with combination of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy were retrospectively analyzed. The patients had different degrees of dysmenorrhea (17 cases),abnormal vaginal discharge (17 cases),and infertility (4 cases) before surgery.During followup,we observed the symptom and pregnancy outcomes after surgery. Results The patients were followed up for 3-36 months (average,24 months). The vaginal irregular bleeding and abnormal secretions disappeared in 17 patients;dysmenorrhea relieved partly in 17 cases;4 patients who had fertility requirements gave birth to babies. Conclusion Combination of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy sufficiently clears genital malformation of HWWS and solves the lower genital tract obstruction.
