Method Thirty-six patients with DCM were recruited as DCM group and thirty healthy people as the control. Serum levels of CRP in all subjects were determined by immunoturbidimetry. Results Compared with control group, the serum levels of CRP in patients with DCM were singnificantly increased by about 3.7 folds[(6.95?1.37)mg/dL vs.(1.89?0.38) mg/dL, P
3.Clinical assessment of policosanol-a new vegetal drug for regulating serum lipid
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2003;0(01):-
Policosanol is a new drug for regulating lipid, which can inhibit cholesterin synthesis and increase blood clearance of low-density lipoprotein(LDL).It has similar effect as statins and its clinical efficiency, safety and tolerance for special people such as the old and those with hepatopath have been confirmed by many clinical studies.Policosanol combined with statins or fibrates is also safe, which can be used as primary prevention for the patients with hypercholesterinemia, high low-density lipoprotein-cholesterolor low high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and as secondary prevention for the patients who could not tolerate other lipid-regulating drugs. The long-term clinical effect of Policosanol on the risk factors of atherosclerosis need further researches.

Objective To study the changes of cytokines in aqueous humor of patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR)after intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) and the correlation of these cytokines. Methods Fifty-six patients(63 eyes) with severe PDR underwent pars piana vitrectomy (PPV) with IVB pretreatment in our hospital from April,2014 to February,2015 were collected. All the patients received IVB therapy from 3 days to 7 days before PPV.Aqueous humor samples were collected at the time of IVB and PPV treatment. The concentrations of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),interleukin-6 (IL-6),interleukin-8 (IL-8) and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) were measured by cytoinetric bead array (CBA).The changes of these cyto-kines after IVB were analyzed by using Wilcoxon rank sum test for paired data. The correlation between these cytokines was analyzed by using Spearman rank test. Results From 3 days to 7 days after IVB,the concentration of VEGF in aqueous humor was (6.57 ± 12.29)pg · mL-1,lower than the pre-operation of (278.71 ±340.20)pg · mL-1,the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).The concentration of IL-8 was (385.60 ± 1099.47) pg · mL-1,higher than pre-operation of(298.87 ± 1005.79) pg ·mL-1,the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).IL-6 and MCP-1 were increased after IVB,but the difference was not statistically significant (all P > 0.05).VEGF,IL-6,IL-8 and MCP-1 had an obviously relationship between each two factors(all P < 0.05).Conclusion Angiogenesis in patients with PDR are regulated by a variety of cytokines, and targeted reduction of VEGF may compensatory increase the concentration of other inflammatory cytokines.

Journal of Practical Radiology 1991;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of the early slope value of enhancement in differentiating benign from malignant musculoskeletal masses. Methods Dynamic contrast-enhanced gradient-recalled acquisition in the steady state imaging(GRASS) was performed to evaluate 36 musculoskeletal masses(18 malignant,18 benign). The difference of the early slope value of enhancement was analysed and compared between benign lesions and malignant ones.Using ROC curve plotting obtained the best decisive threshold.Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to determine the relation between slope and microvessel density of tumor tissues. Results The average early slope value of enhancement was (4.33?2.70)% per second (range 0.97%~10.50% per second)for malignant lesions, and was (1.46?0.97)% per second(range 0.37%~3.86% per second)for benign ones. There was an apparent statistical significance between benign and malignant tumors(?

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(05):-
[Objective]To study the relationship between trauma and the lumbar disc degeneration and to detect the expression of the fibronectin splicing variants in the degenerated lumbar intervertebral disc, and study the expression of EDA.[Method]The human lumbar intervertebral disc tissues were collected to extract total RNA which was then amplified by RT-PCR technique.[Result]EDA~+ Fn of normal lumbar intervertebral disc were not expressed, whereas EDA~+ Fn of degenerated lumbar intervertebral disc were expressed abundantly. The defference between different groups has statistical significance.[Conclusion]EDA~+ Fn has very strongly expression in the lumbar degenerated intervertebral disc, and the trauma is one of prerequisite factors in the disc degenerated process probablely.

ObjectiveTo investigate whether miR-25 targets KLF4 to regulate the growth of gastric cancer cells and lucidate the mechanism of miR-25 producing functional effects in gastric cancer cells. Methods The expression levels of miR-25 and KLF4 were detected by qRT-PCR in 35 pairs of gastric cancer tissues of patients. Target genes of miR-25 were predicted using Targetscan and verified though dual luciferase activity assay and west-ern blot. MTT assay and clone formation assay were detected after downregulated miR-25 and overexpressed KLF4 respectively. Results miR-25 was highly expressed in gastric cancer tissues with KLF4 downexpresstion. Downreg-ulated miR-25 and overexpressed KLF4 respectively can significantly reduce the proliferation of gastric cancer cells, the results were opposite when overexpression of KLF4. Conclusion miR-25 promotes gastric cancer cells proliferation by targeting KLF4.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2000;0(11):-
Objective To study the value of three dimensional contrast enhanced subtraction MRA (3D CES MRA) in the diagnosis of extremity musculoskeletal diseases. Methods Fifteen cases of extremity musculoskeletal diseases proved by operation and pathology were studied, including upper extremity ( n =5), lower extremity ( n =10), soft tissue and vascular lesions ( n =8), and skeletal lesions ( n =7). All examinations were performed with GE 1.5 T MRI scanner. Sagittal scout images were obtained by 2D FMPSPGR sequences. Before and after contrast enhancement, coronal 3D FSPGR sequence was performed in the same parameters within 32 seconds. The plain source images were subtracted by enhanced source images in the workstation. The subtracted images were processed by MIP technique, such method is so called 3D CES MRA. Results All lesions were demonstrated accurately by 3D CES MRA, including vascular lesions ( n =6), tumors in the soft tissue ( n =3), benign skeletal tumors ( n =1), and malignant skeletal tumors ( n =3). Compared with pathology, the diagnosing accuracy rate of 3D CES MRA was more than 90%. Conclusion 3D CES MRA is an advanced, safe, and noninvasive method in diagnosing extremity musculoskeletal diseases, further more, it can save time and resources. In general, 3D CES MRA has a great value in clinical application.

AIM: To explore if metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs) i nduces neuroprotection against 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) neurotoxicity in PC1 2 cells. METHODS: The alteration of the glutamate in extracellul ar fluid of PC12 cells was detected by high performance liquid chromatography (H PLC) with a fluorescent detector. The cytotoxic activity of PC12 cells was assay ed by means of MTT colorimetric method. RESULTS: 6-OHDA dose-d ependently increased glutamate release and decreased cell activity of PC12 cells , and the mGluRs ligands had no significant effect on that. CONCLUSION: The mGluR3 ligands has no protective effect on neurotoxicity of PC12 cel ls induced by 6-OHDA.
