1.Mediating effect of locus of control between career adaptability and vocational selection anxiety in ;practice nurses
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(26):2001-2004
Objective To explore the relationship among vocational selection anxiety, career adaptability and locus of control in practice nurses. Methods Totally 408 practice nurses from five Tertiary A Hospitals in Liaoning Province were assessed with the Career Adaptability Scale, Locus of Control Scale and Vocational Selection Anxiety Questionnaire. All data were analyzed using the software SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. Results Career adaptability was negatively correlated with vocational selection anxiety (r=-0.44, P<0.01), chance and powerful others (r=-0.21,-0.21,P<0.01). Chance and powerful others were positively correlated with vocation selection anxiety (r=0.45, 0.44,P < 0.01). The career adaptability could negatively predict the vocational selection anxiety directly and indirectly via the mediating role of chance and powerful others. Conclusions Career adaptability and locus of control could influence the vocational selection anxiety. Chance and powerful others played a role of part-mediating variable in the relationship of career adaptability and vocational selection anxiety.
2.Relationship among contract nurses′ perceptions of organizational climate, job burnout and turnover tendency
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2017;33(13):1023-1026
Objective To explore the influence of organizational climate and job burnout on turnover tendency among contract nurses, and establish a model of this influence. Methods Totally 450 nurses were selected and investigated with Organizational Climate Questionnaire(OCQ), Maslach job burnout inventory(MBI) and Turnover Intention Scale(TIS). Results The total score of OCQ was 2.71 ± 0.58, the emotional exhaustion was 25.99 ± 13.89, the depersonalization was 10.21 ± 5.37,the personal accomplishment was 21.92 ± 9.27, and the score of TIS was 2.66 ± 0.94. Emotional exhaustion and depersonalization were significantly and negatively correlated to OCQ(r=-0.26,-0.22 ,P<0.01),and positively correlated to TIS(r=0.27,0.25,P<0.01). The personal accomplishment was positively correlated to OCQ(r=0.26,P<0.01), and negatively correlated to TIS(r=- 0.26,P<0.01).OCQ was negatively correlated to TIS(r=-0.37,P<0.01).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that OCQ and personal accomplishment could negatively predict nurses′ turnover tendency(β=-0.43,-0.14,P<0.01), and emotional exhaustion could negatively predict nurses′ turnover tendency(β=-0.10,P<0.01). The path analysis showed organizational climate negatively influenced nurses′ turnover tendency via job burnout, and the value of mediating effect was 23.8%(-0.10/-0.42). Conclusions Turnover tendency is significantly correlated with organizational climate and job burnout among contract nurses. The relationship between organizational climate and nurses′ turnover tendency among contract nurses is mediated in part by job burnout.

Objective To observe the effects of dexmedetomidine on inflammatory responses and insulin resistance during cardiac operations with cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).Methods Fifty patients scheduled for elective cardiac valve replacement with CPB were equally and randomly divided into two groups using a random number table:observation group and control group(n =25).A loading dose of dexmedetomidine 1.0 μg/kg was injected intravenously over 1 5 min after induction, followed by continuous infusion at 0.4 μg·kg-1 ·h-1 until the end of CPB in doservation group. While the e-qual volume of normal saline was given in control group. After induction(T1 ),at 30 min after the be-ginning of CPB(T2 ),at the end of CPB(T3 ),and at 2 h after the end of CPB(T4 ),the jugular venous blood samples were taken for determination of serum concentrations of TNF-a,IL-6,insulin and blood glucose. The insulin sensitivity index (ISI ) = 1/(glucose × insulin )was obtained. Results Compared with control group, the serum TNF-a and IL-6 concentrations at T2-T4 were sig-nificantly decreased in observation group(P <0.05),the serum insulin and blood glucose concentra-tions at T2 ,T3 were significantly decreased in observation group(P <0.05 ),the ISI at T2 ,T3 were significantly increased in observation group(P <0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine can reduce in-flammatory responses, thus reducing insulin resistance and blood glucose during cardiac operations with CPB.

Objective:To explore the relationship between non-dipper heart rate (HR)and severity of cerebral em- bolism from atrial fibrillation in aged patients. Methods:A total of 95 aged patients with persistent atrial fibrillation complicated cerebral embolism received 24h Holter monitoring within 24h after hospitalization.According to 24h Holter monitoring results, patients were divided into dipper HR group (n=21),non-dipper HR group (n=56) and reverse dipper HR group (n=18).United States national institutes of health stroke score (NIHSS)was used to evaluate neurological deficit severity of three groups, and the relationship between HR and NIHSS score was retro- spectively analyzed. Results:Compared with dipper HR group, there were significant rise in mean HR [(83.09± 8.06)beats/min vs.(89.09±7.83)beats/min vs.(95.50±8.06)beats/min]and NIHSS score [(5.14±2.65) scores vs.(7.95±5.30)scores vs.(11.11±7.41)scores]in non-dipper HR group and reverse dipper HR group, and those of reverse dipper HR group were significantly higher than those of non-dipper HR group,P<0.05 or<0.01.Conclusion:Abnormal circadian changes of heart rate can aggravate patient's condition in aged patients with atrial fibrillation complicated cerebral embolism. So based on routine treatment, regulation of circadian rhythm of heart rate should also be noticed.

Side population (SP) cells are highly enriched for stem cell activity and characterized by their ability to efflux the vital dye Hoechst 33342,because they express the ATP binding cassette (ABC)-dependent transporter ABCG2.SP cells can be selected from main population using flow cytometric analysis.Currently SP cells have been isolated from many tissues and organs.SP cells of different origins have some common characteristics. This article introduces the classifications, surface marker, and characteristics of SP cells.

Objective To optimize microwave-assisted extraction of polyphenols from Enteromorpha prolifra. Methods Based on single-factor tests,an efficient microwave-assisted extraction(MAE)technique was developed to extract bioactive polyphenols from E.prolifra through orthogonal L16(4)5 test. Results The highest yield(0.923±0.013)mg/g was obtained when microwave power, solvent to raw material ratio, irradiation time, ethanol concentration, and extraction cycles were 500 W,25 mL/g,25 min,40%,and 3,respectively,which was higher than that of Soxhlet extraction with methanol for 6 h,ultrasound-assisted extraction with 40% ethanol for 1 h twice and heat reflux extraction with 40%ethanol for 2 h twice. Conclusion This finding indicates that MAE is a superior technique for the extraction of polyphenols due to less impurity, higher time efficiency and yield.
