According to the requirements of the ‘three guidance’ talent-cultivation model pro-posed by our university, humanistic spirit was permeated from multi angels during the process of phys-iology. Students'occupation quality was cultivated; physiology knowledge and clinical practice was combined for students; early contacting with clinical knowledge was conducted and teacher-student role reversal method was applied to train students' communication skills. Teaching practice showed that the reformed teaching model not only can ensure the quality of teaching but also can improve the comprehensive quality of students.

Objective To investigate the possibility of immune tole rance induced by bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells in allogeneic organ transplantation. Methods Allogeneic bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells and syngeneic bone marrow cells were cotransplanted to lethally irradiated female C57BL/6 recipient mice. FACS was used to analyze the chimerism 150 days later. Mixed lymphocyte reaction and ConA induced proliferation test were performed to evaluate proliferative activity of mice spleen cells in cell-transplanted group. Skin transplantation test was done to observe immune response of cell-transplanted group mice against organ graft from donor mice. Results About 5 97% donor T cells were detected in splenocytes of cell-transplanted group mice. MLR showed that mean SI of cell-transplanted group mice was 1.79, and that of untreated group mice was 7 28. ConA induced proliferation test showed that mean SI of cell-transplanted group mice was 31 92; and that of untreated group mice was 34 99. Mean survival time of donor-derived skin graft in cell-transplanted group mice was more than 90 days; and that in untreated group mice was 8 days. Conclusion Our results showed for the first time that induction of stable mixed hematopoietic chimerism after allogeneic bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells transplantation lead to stable donor-specific tolerance in allogeneic host and skin graft survival from donor mice.

Objective:To explore the status of depression symptoms and related factors of depressive symptoms in middle-aged and elderly disabled people in China and provide references on the preventive cares of depression. Methods:Research data were obtained from the 2018 follow-up data of China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS).Disabled people were selected as the research object. The scores of center for epidemiological studies depression scale(CES-D) were used to evaluate depressive symptoms. Fourteen variables derived from the 3 dimensions of demographic characteristics, health status, and health related behaviors were utilized in this study.SAS 9.4 were used for descriptive analysis, univariate analysis and Logistic regression analysis. Results:A total of 1 708 middle-aged and elderly disabled people were included, among whom 932(54.5%)were diagnosed with depressive symptoms, and the score of CES-D was (11.45±7.19).Self-rated poor health, self-rated poor memory, life dissatisfaction, physical pain were the risk factors of depressive symptoms ( OR=1.87, 4.22, 1.83, 5.30, 1.75). Male, educational level (middle-high school, high school or above), sleeping duration (6-9 h) were the protective factors of depressive symptoms( OR=0.74, 0.72, 0.10, 0.56). Conclusion:Middle-aged and elderly disabled people in China have a high detection rate of depressive symptoms. Female, lower education background, inadequate amount of sleep, self-rated unsatisfactory healthy, self-rated poor memory, dissatisfaction towards life and suffering from physical pain may be more likely to have depressive symptoms in middle-aged and elderly people with disabilities.

To observe the influence of the placental apoptosis on the expression of Bax,Bcl-2, Fas, FasLand TNF-α during the second trimester of pregnancy, mice of experimental group were intraperitoneal injected with 100 purified Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoites added in 0.2mL of PBS, while those of the control group were injected with 0.2 mL of sterile PBS (0.01 mol/L, pH 7.4) in the 8-th day of pregnancy. During the 12, 14, 16 and 18-th days of pregnancy, 5 mice both in experimental and control group were randomly killed and the expression levels of the apoptosis-related proteins Bax, Bcl-2, Fas, FasL and TNF-α in the placental tissues were determined by means of immunohistochemical methods. It was showed that the apoptosis-related protein expressed both in villus and decidua of the placenta, most of which were expressed in syneytiotrophoblast (ST). The positive cells with expression of Bax, Fas, FasL and TNF-α increased along with the increase of the pregnant days in both the experimental group and the control group, and the positive cells with expression of Bcl-2 decreased along with the increase of the pregnant days. It was also demonstrated that the positive cells with expression of Bax, Fas, FasL and TNF-α of the experimental group showed a higher percentage of expression than that of the control group on the same pregnant days, but the positive cells with Bcl-2 expression of the experimental group were fewer than that of the control group. It is concluded that the expression of apoptosis-related protein Bax, Bcl-2, Fas, FasL and TNF-α in the placenta were altered when the pregnant mice were infected with Toxoplasma gondii during the second trimester, which may induce the apoptosis through the endogenic and ectogenic pathway.

Objective:To explore the value of morphometric analysis program (MAP) in detecting focus of pediatric epilepsy related to focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) II.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed; 42 epilepsy children with FCD II and postoperative Engel grading I in Department of Neurosurgery, He'nan Provincial People's Hospital from June 2020 to January 2023 were enrolled. Preoperative MRI data were analyzed by MAP. Difference in general data and focus detection rate by MRI and MAP were compared between the positive MAP group and negative MAP group, and consistency of MAP positive areas (true positive MAP and false positive MAP by postoperative CT) with interictal PET low metabolism positive areas was analyzed. Results:Of the 42 children, 28 had positive MAP and 14 had negative MAP in the epileptogenic focus. Gender was statistically different between positive MAP group and negative MAP group ( P<0.05). MAP had significantly better performance in focus detection compared with MRI (28/42 vs. 19/42, P<0.05). Significant difference was noted between consistency of true positive MAP area with interictal PET low metabolism positive areas (40/43) and that of false positive MAP area with interictal PET low metabolism positive areas (4/33, P<0.05). Conclusion:MAP can improve the focus detection rate of pediatric epilepsy related to FCD II effectively, and PET contributes to rule out false positive results.
