Objective To investigate the nursing knowledge of rural patients with rectal carcinoma after permanent colostomy. Methods Data were collected on 54 patients with rectal carcinoma after permanent colostomy using the self-designed questionnaire and analyzed by statistical methods. Results The rural patients with permanent colostomy showed low level of nursing knowledge.Scores of patients with different sexes and family income showed significant difference. Conclusions Medical security system and medical staff should provide with more welfare policy and specialty support for the patients in rural areas to promote their knowledge of self-care.

Objective To clarify great benefit to prevention of wound infection as well as reduction of economic expenditures by a new method of connecting latex gloves and cigarettes in peritoneal drainage. Methods We randomly selected 121 cases of patients with peritoneal pyogenic infection, divided them into the latex gloves group (64 eases)and the common dressing group (57 cases). The incision infection rate and eco-nomic cost in two groups were comparately studied. Results The latex gloves group's incision infection rate was 10.94% (7 / 64), the common dressing was 31.58% (18/57). Each patient of the latex gloves group spent less cost about 15.70 yuan, changed dressing 5.3 times less than the common dressing group. Conclusions Connecting latex gloves and cigarettes in peritoneal drainage is a new method of reducing economic expandi-tures and the chances of incision infection. Clinical application of this method should be fully prospected.

Objective:To investigate the effects of serum from smoking individuals with periodontitis in the process of Fusobocterium.Nucleatum(Fn)invading KB cells and the expression of matrixmetalloproteinase1(MMP1)of KB cells. Methods:Serum was prepared from 10 smokers with periodontitis(group Y),10 nonsmokers with periodontitis(group N)and 5 periodontal healthy nonsmokers(group H).Serum of 200,400 and 800 μl from the subjects was added to the model of Fn invading KB cells respectively and cultured for 24 hours, the cfu of cellinvaded bacteria was estimated by colony counting.MMP1 protein level in culture supernatant wasmeasured by ELISA.Results:In the 800 μl serum groups, the percentage of invaded cfu was 12.59 ±1.27,8.03 ±0.075 and 7.99±0.14 in group Y,N and H(P <0.05)respectively,the concentration(μg/L)of MMP1 in the cultrue supernatant of group Y,Nand H was 400.04 ±21.02,252.57 ±18.89 and 262.47 ±35.29(P <0.05)respectively.In the 200 μl and 400 μl serum groups,no significant difference was detected in invasion cfu of Fn in KB cells and MMP1 secrition of KB cells among Y,N and H groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Higher doses of smokingserum might play a role in the course of Fn invading KB cells and promote the expression of MMP1 secretion from KB cells.

Objective To investigate the current situations and analyse the influencing factors of self-compassion in patients 3 months after colorectal cancer surgery,so as to provide a basis for clinical interventions. Methods This cross-sectional survey was conducted from August 2020 to January 2022 among 190 patients who were at 3 months after colorectal cancer surgery in a tertiary hospital in sichuan.General information questionnaire,self-compassion scale,Connor-Davidson resilience scale and meaning in life questionnaire were used in the survey. Results Total scores of self-compassion,mental toughness and meaning of life after colorectal cancer surgery were 76.69±9.68,58.01±12.54 and 36.02±12.22,respectively.With analysis of multiple linear regression, the influencing factors of self-compassion were found as comorbid chronic diseases, postoperative stoma, postoperative radiotherapy, mental toughness and meaning of life(all P<0.05),toally explaining 58.4%its varience. Conclusions The self-compassion of patients with colorectal cancer is at a moderately lower level and the influencing factors of it include comorbid chronic diseases, postoperative stoma, postoperative radiotherapy, mental toughness and meaning of life.Medical staff should assess the psychological status of the patients, strengthen a psychological care and help patients to gain correct cognitive views for the purpose to improve the self-compassion of patients.
