Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the effects of Tongmai Tang on the production of nitric oxide(NO) and the balance of fibrinolysis system in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC) injured by oxidized low density lipoprotein(oxLDL). Methods The herbage-contained serum of Tongmai Tang and oxLDL were prepared, then the human HUVEC-304 cells were divided into 4 groups: ⑴control group; ⑵bovine serum control group; ⑶oxLDL group: 100mg/L oxLDL, and ⑷Tongmai Tang group: 5% herbage-contained serum of Tongmai Tang and 100mg/L oxLDL. After 24h incubation, the morphology of the endothelial cells was observed under the inversion microscope, while the concentrations of NO, t-PA and PAI-1 in the culture medium were measured. Results ⑴The endothelial cells in oxLDL group were seriously injured, while those in Tongmai Tang group got better; ⑵the concentrations of NO and t-PA in the oxLDL group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P

OBJECTIVEThis study aims to determine the awareness oral medical interns about occupation safety protection of knowledge and to present a scientific basis for perfecting the occupation safety education system and standard protection behavior.
METHODSA self-designed questionnaire that used a retrospective questionnaire survey on 425 stomatological interns, scoring, and statistical analysis of the survey were performed. The questionnaire included occupation safety prevention knowledge, behavior cognitive, and protective behavior, among others.
RESULTSThe questionnaire recovery rate was 100%, and the average scores of the prevention knowledge and behavior cognitive were 4.55 ± 0.91 and 4.40 ± 1.05, respectively. More than 90% interns can conduct the conventional protection, and less than 40% can perform special protection. For the item "occupation safety protection knowledge", the scores of three grade III hospitals were higher than that of stomatological hospitals and second level of first-class hospitals; the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.001). For the items "behavior cognition" and "protective behavior", the scores of the second level of first-class hospitals were lower than those of grade III hospitals and stomatolgical hospitals (P < 0.001). The second level of first-class hospitals was relatively poor in safety protection knowledge, behavioral cognitive, and protection behavior. The average score was higher for than for boys in the three contents, and the average score of interns accepting pre-job training was higher than those rejected; the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.001).
CONCLUSIONThe occupation safety knowledge of oral medical interns is not sufficient, and the protective behavior is poor. Schools and hospitals should strengthen the intern occupation safety and protection education and improve the status of occupation safety behavior.

Objective To investigate the effect of angiotensin-(1-7) on the expression of cellular c-fos in angiotensin II -induced proliferative glomerular mesangial cells (GMC). Methods GMC were treated with angiotensin II and different dose of angiotensin-(1-7). GMC number were evaluated by crystal violet staining and the expression of c-foe were detected by western blot. Results Angiotensin-(1-7) inhibit angiotensin II -induced GMC proliferation as well as the expression c-foe in a concentration dependent manner. Conclusion c-fos is involved in the inhibiting effects of angiotensin-(1-7) on angiotensin II -induced GMC proliferation.

Objective To explore the effect of angiotensin-(1-7) [Ang-(1-7)] on proliferation and secretion in cultured rat's glo-merular mesangial cells(GMC) induced by transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1). Methods GMC in logarithmic growth phase were in-cubated, and then were divided into 4 groups: control, Ang-(1-7), TGF-β1,and TGF-β1 + Ang-(1-7) group. Cell numbers of rat's GMC were detected by WST-1. Laminin(LN) and collagenlV (ColⅣ) mRNA expressions in GMC were analyzed by RT-PCR. The secretion of LN and ColⅣ in culture medium of rat's GMC was measured by radioimmunoassay. Results Ang-(1-7) significantly inhibited basal and TGF-β1-induced proliferation of cultured glomerular mesangial cells. Ang-(1-7) significantly down-regulated LN and Col Ⅳ mRNA expressions in glomerular mesangial cells and also inhibited the secretion of LN and ColⅣ induced by TGF-β1(P <0. 05). Conclusions Ang-(1-7) can inhibit basal and TGF-β1-induced proliferation, and inhibit ECM secretion of cultured rats glomerular mesangial cells.

ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence and distributing feature of atrial fibrillation (AF) in Xinjiang Kazaks adult population.MethodsFour-stage selected random samples aged 30-89 years from Tacheng,Yili and Aletai were analyzed. An epidemical study of AF was performed including inquiring medical history, recording electrocardiogram and auscultation. ResultsA total of 22 514 adults were surveyed. The prevalence of AF in Xinjiang Kazaks adult population was 0.37%,which was increasing with aging. The prevalence was higher in men than in women (0.5% vs 0.2%,P <0.01 ).In AF patients,23 was valvular AF.Ischemic stroke was the most frequent type and the stroke rate in the patients with AF was significantly higher than that without AF (6.0% vs 1.2%,P < 0.01 ).ConclusionsThe prevalence of AF in Xinjiang Kazaks adult population is lower than the reported national prevalence but patients with AF in this population would not like to take the necessary medicine. Therefore, the control of AF need to be reinforced.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(44):7809-7814
BACKGROUND:Many articles concerned novel al eles reported in China and outside China, but some al eles were detected lately. After that, these al eles were tested again. Because frequencies of these al eles are very low, few relevant articles are reported, so these al eles are ignored easily. OBJECTIVE:To test and identify four human leukocyte antigen rare al eles that patients and donors carries. METHODS:Genomic DNA was extracted automatical y from blood samples using quick DNA purified kit, typed by human leukocyte antigen locus commercial sequence-based typing kits and confirmed by sequence-specific primers high-resolution kits. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Four detected rare al eles are B*27:15, B*51:39, C*07:66 and C*08:22. The four above-mentioned human leukocyte antigen rare al eles defined by National Marrow Donor Program are not rare in China. The facts prove that C*08:22 which was defined a rare al ele by National Marrow Donor Program before is a common al ele in Chinese Han nationality.

Objective To determine the effects of curcumin microemulsion on proliferation and apoptosis of the human leukemia cell line K562 cells. Methods The curcumin microemulsion was prepared with the routine procedure.MTT assay was used to determine cell proliferation in cultured K562 cells, flow cytometry analysis was applied to examine cell apoptosis, and WT1 mRNA was determined with RT-PCR.The results about curcumin microemulsion were compared with these on curcumin. Results The prepared curcumin microemulsion was a stable clear solution with diameter of 10-100 nm.Curcumin microemulsion inhibited K562 cell proliferation by 24%,46%,68%with a 24 h incubation at dose of 2.5 μg/ml,5.0 μg/ml,and 10.0 μg/ml respectively, whereas curcumin reduced the proliferation by 6%,14%,25%at equal concentrations.WT1 mRNA level of curcumin microemulsion group(0.190±0.036)was reduced stronger than that of curcusin group(0.456±0.047).Conclusions Microemulsion is a great carrier for curcumin.Curcumin microemulsion is more effective in inhibiting proliferation,pro-apoptosis,and reducing WT1 gene expression than curcumin.A strong basis of medical value for the use of curcumin microemulsion to treat tumors is provided.
