Objective To study the expression of COP9,JAK2,HSP and NADH genes in ovarian carcinoma tissues after taxol-chemotherapy and their significance. Methods The up-regulated genes of JAK2, HSP, NADH and the down-regulated gune of COP9, which were revealed by micro-array from our previous study were examined by RT-PCR and real-time-PCR in 33 cases of ovarian cancer who previously received taxol-based chemotherapy (group 1 ), and 21 cases of ovarian cancer who never received chemotherapy before operation ( group 2 ) . Results The expression rate of COP9 gene in group 1 was detected markedly lower than that in group 2 (39% vs 95%, P < 0. 01 ) ; whereas the expression rates of JAK2, HSP and NADH in group 1 were significantly higher that those in group 2 (91%, 97% , 94% vs 29%, 48%, 43% ; all P < 0. 05). And the expression of COP9, HSP and NADH genes had no significant differences among histological grades. However, a significantly higher expression of JAK2 gene was seen in grade 3 than in grade 1 -2 (P <0. 01 ). No significant difference in the expression rates of the 4 genes was seen among various tumor types or chemotherapy courses ( P > 0. 05 ). Real-time PCR showed that the level of COP9 gene copies of group 1 was significantly lower than that of group 2 (568, 1866 respectively; P <0. 05 ). However, HSP, JAK2 and NADH genes had significantly higher copy numbers in group 1 than in group 2 (5766,7653,3200 in group 1 and 3341,3094,1522 in group 2, respectively; all P < 0. 05 ). In the subgroup that received 6 - 10 chemotherapy courses, the copy concentrations of JAK2, HSP, NADH genes were higher than those in the subgroup that received 2 - 4 chemotherapy courses ( all P < 0. 05 ). In addition,we found a higher copy concentrations of JAK2, HSP, NADH genes in grade 3 than in grade 1 - 2 ( all P <0. 05 ). Though no significant differences in gene copy concentrations of the 4 genes were seen among variable tumor types. In stage Ⅳ, the copy concentrations of HSP and NADH genes were higher than those in stage Ⅲ ( P < 0. 01, P < 0. 05 respectively ), but the copy concentrations of COP9, JAK2 genes had no significant differences( both P > 0. 05 ). There were positive correlations among JAK.2, HSP and NADH genes ( r =0. 56,0. 44,0. 57 respectively ,all P <0. 01 ). COP9 gene was found to have a negative correlation with JAK2 gene ( r = - 0. 48 ; P < 0. 01 ), but not with HSP and NADH genes ( r = - 0. 18, - 0. 06, respectively;both P > 0. 05 ). Conclusion The down-regulation of COP9 gene and up-regulation of JAK2, HSP, and NADH genes are related to the mechanism of drug-resistance in ovarian cancer.

Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS)is a clinical syndrome and the main clinical manifestation is the increase of heart rate.POTS is significantly related to position change.During the first 10 min of position change from supine to standing,if heart rate increases over a certain extent,POTS can be diagnosised.The pathogenesis of POTS has not been completely clear.The current studies show that it is closely related to the changes of central blood volume,dysautonomia,muscle pump dysfunction,vascular endothelium function disorder,etc.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical significance of Endothelin-1,Tumor necrosis factor-α and Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 in the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).MethodsThe serum samples were prepared from 80 cases with COPD and 30 healthy persons.The levels of ET-1,TNF-α and ICAM-1 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA ).Results Levels of ET-1,TNF-α and ICAM-1 in the COPD patients were higher than thosein the healthy cases ( t =4.896,4.621,4.231,all P ＜ 0.05 ).Levels of ET-1,TNF-α and ICAM-1 in the period of AECOPD were higher than those in the cases of the COPD stable time( t =3.346,3.525,3.269,all P ＜0.05 ).ConclusionET-1,TNF-αt and ICAM-1 are involved in airway inflam mation,ET-1,TNF-α and ICAM-1 not only take part in the acute inflammation in COPD,but also closely connected with clinic stages.

The gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in human. The current studies demonstrated that Helicobacter pylori(HP) is one important promotion factor in gastric cancer development. This text aims to overview three aspects including toxic factors and function mechanism of HP in gastric cancer,gene susceptibility of the host and environmental factors studying by domestic and international scholars.

A total of 100 in-hospital patients with acute stroke were randomly assigned to receive traditional Chinese medicine Radix et Rhizoma Rhei combined with abdominal massage(once daily; study group, n=50) or observation (control group, n=50 ) to prevent from constipation. After 3 days' treatment, 3 patients (6%) in the study group and 44 patients (88%) in the control group developed constipation (χ2=67.482, P<0.01). In addition, no adverse effects occurred in the study group. Our results indicated that traditional Chinese medicine Radix et Rhizoma Rhei combined with abdominal massage might help acute stroke patients to prevent from constipation, achieve earlier health recovery, and improve quality of life.

Postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS)is one common type of orthostatic intolerance (OI)in chil-dren.POTS is characterized by OI symptoms and excessively increased heart rate from supine to upright position.Main treatments for POTS are physical training,automatic function exercise and medications including α-receptor agonists,β-receptor blockers and oral rehydration salts.This review aimed to summarize the biomarkers in the diagnosis and treatment of POTS.

Objective To investigate the effect of abdominal vibration therapy on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with constipation. Methods In the respiratory department from August 2013 to July 2014, eighty-three COPD patients with constipation were divided into the experiment group (n=35) and the control group (n=48) using random digit table. The control group were treated with conventional western medicine and the experiment group received impingement abdomen vibration therapy on the basis of western medicine treatment. The two groups were compared in terms of symptoms of constipation and curative effect. Results The curative effect of the experiment groups was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The score on constipation in the experiment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The abdominal vibration therapy is effective in the treatment of COPD patients with constipation. It can improve their quality of life and be worthy of clinical application.

Objective To explore the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic resection of large uterus . Methods We performed laparoscopic hysterectomy in patients who had more than 3 months pregnant huge uterus in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2013.The mirror trocar was introduced at 5 cm above fundus .Surgical key steps were appropriate management of uterine blood vessels, electrical coagulation of the ascending uterine artery , and dissection of uterine vessels from front , rear, and lateral sides. Results The laparoscopic surgery was completed in all the 200 cases, without conversion to laparotomy .The operation time was 80-170 min,with a mean of 120 min;the blood loss was 20-250 ml,with a mean of 60 ml.No blood transfusion was required due to hemorrhage during operation .Two cases developed deep vein thrombosis at the third day after surgery , and were cured by anticoagulant therapy .Two patients with vaginal stump inflammation at 15 postoperative day were cured by applying the metronidazole powder at vaginal .One patient were sutured by 2 stitches for vaginal stump bleeding at the first month after the operation .The remaining patients had no serious complications .Postoperative hospital stay was (5 ±2) days.Follow-up reviews in 144 patients for 6 months found satisfactory heal of the vaginal stump , normal ultrasonographic results of bilateral ureters , and no abnormity in the pelvic cavity. Conclusion Laparoscopic hysterectomy of large uterus with bipolar coagulation is safe and feasible .

ObjectiveTo explore the influence of fluvastatin on the levels of IL-6,MMP-1 and APN in patients with coronary heart diseases.Methods60 patients with coronary heart diseases were randomly divided into 2groups:40mg group and 80mg group treated by fluvastatin and 30 healthy persons were selected as control group,serum levels of IL-6,MMP-1 and APN were measured before and after treatmead.ResultsSerum levels of IL-6,MMP-1 were significantly increasd in the coronary heart diseases group (t =4.896,4.231,all P ＜ 0.05 ).Serum level of APN was significantly decreasd in the coronary heart diseases group( t =4.352,P ＜ 0.05 ).The serum levels of IL-6and M MP-1 were significantly decreasd after therapy (4.156,4.121、4.553,all P ＜ 0.05 ).The decrease of serum levels of IL-6,MMP-1 in 80mg group was more significant than those of 40mg group( t =3.786,3.690,4.10,all P ＜0.05).ConclusionSerum concentrations of IL-6 and MMP-1 increase,but APN decrease in patients with coronary heart diseases.Serum concentrations of IL-6,MMP-1 and APN had relationships with coronary plaque extent.Fluvastatin could decrease serum levels of IL-6 and MMP-1,increase serum level of APN in patients with coronary heart diseases,and have a beneficial effect on steadying the plaque.
