Tissue factor is a powerful promoter of blood clotting in vivo , it plays an important role In hematischesis, tissue repair and thrombogenesis. In recent years, it is discovered that tissue factor can discriminate and regulate cell signal transduction, promote neogenesis of blood vessel and inflammatory reaction, regulate cell adhesion and movement, have a intimate relationship with invasion and metastasis of malignant tumor. In this article, we review the effects of tissue factor on malignant tumor metastasis.

Objective To study the influences by a Cyelin-dependent kinase inhibitor Roscovitine on cell cycle in mitotic hepatoma carcinoma cell SMMC-7721. Methods Microscope,MTT, flow cytometry and R-T PCR were used to observe the effects of Roscovitine on morphology, proliferation, cell cycle, apoptosis and the mRNA expression of CDK2, Caspase-3, bcl-2 in SMMC-7721 cells. Results Roscovitine inhibited the proliferation of SMMC-7721 cells in dosage and time dependent manner and induced apoptosis. Flow cytometry showed the ratio of G0, G1 increased. R-T PCR showed that the expression of bcl-2 reduced, Caspase-3 increased. Conclusion Reseovitine can inhibit the growth, proliferation, block the cell cycle at G0/G1 and promotes apoptosis of mitotic SMMC-7721 cells, and the mechanism of apoptosis is dependent on the activity of bcl-2 and Caspase-3.

OBJECTIVE To study the isolation rate, distribution characteristics and antimicrobial resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii infection.METHODS Surveillance data of A.baumannii infection, distribution and resistance rates to 12 kinds of antibiotics in our hospital for 3 years were analyzed.RESULTS During the 3-year infection surveillance,194 strains of A.baumannii were isolated in our hospital. The isolation rate was 7.8% in 2006,though 2.4% in 2004.Eighty strains(41.2%) of A.baumannii were from intensive care unit;95 strains were from over 60-year-old sufferers;compared with 2004 and 2005,the resistance rates of A.baumannii in 2006 to 12 kinds of antibiotics were increasing at different degree. The antibacterial susceptibility to imipenem/meropenem was the highest.CONCLUSIONS The isolation rate of A.baumannii and antimicrobial resistance rate are increasing year by year. The A.baumannii strains shows obvious multiple antibacterial resistance. We must keep monitoring of A.baumannii infection and drug-resistant changes in order to prevent nosocomial infections.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the correlations on hepatitis B virus(HBV)preS1-antigen(preS1-Ag)and HBV-DNA,HBV markers in patients with hepatitis B.METHODS The markers,preS1-Ag and HBV-DNA were determined by ELISA and PCR in 406 patients with hepatitis B and 80 healthy persons.RESULTS The positive rates of preS1-Ag in 160 patients with HBsAg(+)and HBeAg(+)were 84.4%.The positive rates of preS1-Ag in 246 patients with HBsAg(+)and HBeAg(-)were 42.3%;the difference between them was significant(?2=70.9,P

0.05).(3) The ratio of meticillin-resistant staphylococci was 91.5%.The ratio of resistance of staphylococci to(gentamicin),(erythromycin),ciprofloxacin and tetracycline was all above 50%,but was low to(nitrofurantoin) and rifampin. In 12 strains of Enterococcus faecalis,3 strains were VRE;8 resisted to high-level gentamicin;6 resisted to high-level streptomycin;the resistance rate to tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, rifampin and(erythromycin) ranged from 58.3% to 100.0%.In E.coli,8 of 14 isolates were positive for ESBLs.The resistance was high to usual antibiotics except imipenem, amikacin and Tazocillin.CONCLUSIONS Bacteria are the main pathogens of chronic prostatitis and terribly resist to clinical usual antibiotics.Infection with Uu,Mh and Ct should not be(ignored). It is necessary to diagnose and treat chronic prostatitis according to the results of pathogen(isolation) and drug sensitivity test.

Objective To observe the characteristics of hepatic progenitor cells(HPCs)activation in liver tissues of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis, and to investigate the relationship between the number of HPCs and HBV infection. Methods Cytokeratin 7(CK7)-was stained immunohistochemically in liver tissues of 16 patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis.HPCs and duetular reactions were quantitively analyzed. The expression of HBsAg and HBcAg were also detected to evaluate its relationship with HPCs activation. Results HPCs were extensively activated and marked duetular reactions can be observed in cirrhotic liver tissues.Tlle expression of HBsAg was positively correlated with HPCs activation. Conclusions HPCs are extensively activated in cirrhotic liver tissues, and HBV infection may facilitate its activation.

Purpose:
Reduced quality of life after cystectomy has made bladder preservation a popular research topic for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Previous research has indicated significant tumor downstaging after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). However, maximal transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) was performed before NAC to define the pathology, impacting the real evaluation of NAC. This research aimed to assess real NAC efficacy without interference from TURBT and apply combined modality therapies guided by NAC efficacy.
Materials and Methods:
Patients with cT2-4aN0M0 MIBC were confirmed by cystoscopic biopsy and imaging. NAC efficacy was assessed by imaging, urine cytology, and cystoscopy with multidisciplinary team discussion. Definite responders (≤ T1) underwent TURBT plus concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Incomplete responders underwent radical cystectomy or partial cystectomy if feasible. The primary endpoint was the bladder preservation rate.
Results:
Fifty-nine patients were enrolled, and the median age was 63 years. Patients with cT3-4 accounted for 75%. The median number of NAC cycles was three. Definite responders were 52.5%. The complete response (CR) was 10.2%, and 59.3% of patients received bladder-sparing treatments. With a median follow-up of 44.6 months, the 3-year overall survival (OS) was 72.8%. Three-year OS and relapse-free survival were 88.4% and 60.0% in the bladder-sparing group but only 74.3% and 37.5% in the cystectomy group. The evaluations of preserved bladder function were satisfactory.
Conclusion
After stratifying MIBC patients by NAC efficacy, definite responders achieved a satisfactory bladder-sparing rate, prognosis, and bladder function. The CR rate reflected the real NAC efficacy for MIBC. This therapy is worth verifying through multicenter research.
