Objective:To study the curative efficacy of functional training focusing on muscle group around shoulder for subacromial impingement syndrome.Method:Forty five patients with subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS) were randomly grouped into three groups (fifteen patients for each group).Patients in Group Ⅰ were trained only on muscles around scapula.Patients in Group Ⅱ were treated on rotator cuff muscles.While patients in Group Ⅲ were treated on both.The training goes every 2 days and last for 4 weeks.The indexes for evaluating curative efficacy included:the Neer-test,the Hawkins-test and the Peen Shoulder Score.These indexes were measured immediately and three months after the four week treatment.Result:After treatment of the functional training focusing on muscle group around shoulder,Neer-tests and Hawkins-tests of all of patients were changed from positive to negative,the degree of pain compared with pain before the treatment declined apparently(P＜0.01),at the same time,the degree of satisfaction and the function went up remarkablely(P＜0.01).Compared with group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ,it dropped the most notably on the degree of pain in the group Ⅲ(P＜0.01),however,the degree of satisfaction and the function rose most apparently (P＜0.01) Conclusion:The curative efficacy of functional training focusing on muscle group around shoulder for sub-acromial impingement syndrome was effective apparently.But the efficacy of treated focusing on both muscles around scapula and rotator cuff was the most remarkably.

In addition to kill tumor cells through direct cytotoxicity, the immunomodulatory activity is another facet of chemotherapy. The major molecular mechanisms of immunogenicity of cytotoxic drugs are elimination of CD_4~+ CD_(25)~+ regulatory T cells or Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells, and sensitization of tumor cells to immune effectors through modulation of death receptor expression. These studies provide scientific evidence for combinatorial treatments including vaccines and Traditional Chinese Medicine for cancer therapy.

Objective The prospective study was trying to explore the altering tendency of plasma concentration of E2, P and PAS after TCM intervention for post-surgery breast cancer patient who received endocrine therapy (tamoxifen).Methods By randomization, parallel, coincidence measures and the lab. technologies of AXSYM registered at Abbott lab. in the USA, plasma concentration of E2, P and FAS were tested before and after treatment. Results The results of biochemical test of plasma E2, P and FAS concentration of the two arms showed no significance difference before and after the intervention,indicating the side effects relating to TAM had nothing to do with plasma E2, P and FAS level. Conclusion It could be predicable that there must be some other by-pass ways initiating breast cancer rather than the way directly altering the level of plasma concentration of E2, P and FAS.

Objective By previous overview of patients treated in our hospital, this study highlights on the intervention effects of TCM treating principle of regulating liver Qi and tonifying kidney Yin on the adverse reaction of TAM on breast cancer patients in post surgery. Methods Perspective study with the measures of randomization, and paralleling and synchronization control was conducted in the research. Results symptoms such as flush, insomnia, night sweat, palpitation, depression and heat sensation in the chest, palms and soles were improved significantly; while manifestations such as nausea, vomiting, irregular menstruation, bitter taste and dry mouth showed no significant changes. QOL changed significantly. Conclusion The application of treating principle of regulating liver Qi and tonifying kidney Yin is effective in reducing side effects caused by TAM. This result further improved the theory of TCM that the nature of liver is active, although the liver belongs to Yin in physique and but Yang in function.

Objective To investigate the clinical value and relating problems in treating complex fractures of proximal humerus by using replacement of humeral head prosthesis. Methods There were 23 cases (10 males and 13 females, age range 43-76 years, mean 58.6 years) with complex fractures of proximal humerus. According to Neer classification, 4 cases had three-part fracture, 17 four-part fracture, 2 cleavage fracture of humeral head, 18 fresh fracture (within 2 weeks after injury) and 5 old fracture, which were all treated with replacement of humeral head prosthesis. Results Follow-up study for a mean period of 15.6 months was conducted in all the cases. No flexible prosthesis, prosthesis dislocation, infection, nerve damage or periprosthesis fractures occurred. According to scoring system modification for hemiarthroplasty (SSMH) of UCLA (Los.Angeles, California, USA), the average score was 26.3. Score was above 27 (excellent) in 3 cases and 24-27 (good) in 18 with an excellence rate of 91.3%, score was 18-24 (moderate) in 2 but no one had score less than 18. Average score was 9.5 in pain, 8.6 in function and 8.2 in muscle power and motion in 23 cases. Conclusions Replacement of humeral head prosthesis is a preferable method for treating the complex fractures of proximal humerus, with significant effect in relieving the pain in the shoulder joint posterior to trauma. It is key to a satisfactory curative effect to correctly select the indication, clearly master the local anatomy, grasp the operation technique and give early and reasonable postoperative rehabilitation treatment.

[Objective]To discus clinic value of fixation by vertebral pedicle screw system and vertebroplasty using injectable graft for thoracolumbar vertebrae fractures.[Method]Fifteen cases of thoracolumbar vertebrae fractures(7 cases with compress fractures,8 cases with burst fractures) were treated with fixation by vertebral pedicle screw system and vertebroplasty using injectable graft.[Result]The group was followed up for average 9.6 months,no case showed internal fixation device loosening or breaking,nor were chronic lumbar pain seen in this group.No case had lost the anterior height of body of spine.All injected grafts were Abs orbed within 3 months postoperatively.According to Frankels grading,there were 4 cases in Grades B,6 cases in Grade C and 2 cases of Grade D preoperatively,but 3 cases of Grade C,5 cases of Grade D and 4 cases of Grade E postoperatively in 12 cases with incomplete paraplegia,with a statistically significant difference(x~2 =21.000,P=0.000

[Objective]To explore the feasibility and clinical effects of spinous proscess forming in posterior in the treatment of lower lumbar diseases. [Methods]Seventy-seven cases suffered from lower lumbar diseases were treated using spinous proscess forming as interbody fusion material.The cases included 35 of lumbar disc herniation,21 of spondylolysis,11 of degenerative spondylolisthesis and 10 of spinal canal stenosis.The clinical data and imaging results were investigated.[Results]Seventy-two patiens were followed up for 1 to 2 years while 5 were lost.During following-up,no loosened internal fixation,broken nail or stick,infravertebra prolapsed,or detachment recurrence was found.Preoperative the height of intervertebral space was 8.5?1.9 mm,10.9?1.8 mm at 2 weeks postoperatively and was 10.7?1.7 mm at last follow-up.The height of intervertebral space were significantly increased postoperatively with statistically significant difference(P

AIM: To investigate the anti - tumor effect of Weimaining (WMN) on a murine Lewis lung carcinoma (3LL) and the influence on the cell cycle. METHODS: The inhibitory rate of WMN in 3LL growth was detected by replicating the model of 3LL. The effect of the drug on 3LL cell cycle and the influence of the drug on the expression of cy clin D1 protein were investigated by flow cytometry and immunohistochemical staining. RESULTS: The results showed that the inhibitory rate of drug in 3LL is 19. 14%, 33.59%, 40. 63% and 51.56% respectively at dosage ranging from 100,cells in G0 -G1 phase and decreases the expression of cyclin D1 protein. CONCLUSION: WMN inhibits the growth of 3LL cells in vivo by decreasing the expression of cyclin D1, blocking the cells in G0 - G1 phase and preventing the cells transition from G1 to S phase while DNA is replicated.

This article was aimed to study the characteristics of intestinal cancer by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) based on the scale-free network analysis method. History information of 145 hospitalized cases from 2008 to 2011 was collected from the Oncology Department, Guang A nmen Hospital, in the clinical collection system. The rule of medication in the treatment of intestinal cancer by TCM was explored by scale-free network analysis method from several aspects, such as effects, classification and compatibility relations. The analysis results of 145 intestinal cancer cases showed that strengthening the body resistance was the main treatment principle. Si-Jun-Zi (SJZ) decoc-tion was used with the highest frequency. In the prescription design, qi-supplementing herbs were the most. The heat-clearing, dampness-eliminating, qi-regulating, blood-activating and stasis-removing, food stagnation removing and phlegm-removing herbs were also used frequently. The TCM treatment and syndrome differentiation will be changed due to the treatment and disease stages. It was concluded that scale-free network analysis method is able to relatively show the TCM treatment rule of intestinal cancer quantificationally and intuitively.
